Sandstar stood at the entrance of the den. "Wh-what is going on in here? Duskfall? Gorseprickle?"

The FernClan warrior bowed his head. "I... Um..."

Sandstar nodded and two cats gave her grateful looks.

"Deerspeckle came last night to tell me I had died and bring me to StarClan. I wanted to stay with my Clan, and she allowed me to remain until I found who killed me."

"No!" Yelped Gorseprickle. "What kind of killer would fall asleep in the victims den with several other cats?"

"Are you saying it's someone in the Clan?"

Duskfall glanced around. Darkclaw's father wasn't anywhere in sight.
