A/N: I sometimes kinda picture Skylar as a Smytheberry baby when I don't picture him as Sebastian's little brother and dating Marley who happens to be Rachel's little sister. But in this story Skylar is the son of Rachel and Sebastian.

Skylar was in the dining room, with his parents yelling at him, because he had been naughty at school and was sent to the headmaster's office at Dalton. He sat there silently as his mum yelled at him, and he then snapped

"Just stop it, I'm not a child anymore, stop treating me like one, I'm 16 almost 17 and a junior at Dalton, and warbler and lacrosse captain, which means I will not be treated like a child mum." His mum Rachel was flabbergasted at how her son Skylar spoke to her, and his dad Sebastian looked at him and said

"You don't speak to your mother like that Skylar." Skylar stood up from his chair and said

"Well she's treating me like a child, you and her both are, and I'm not a child, so don't treat me like one." Skylar then walked to his room, slamming the door hard. He didn't want to tell them that the reason he had been sent to the office was because he stood up for himself after being bullied.

Skylar sat on his bad angrily thinking about the days events, and his argument with his parents. He always knew that it would be rough for him since his parents Rachel Berry and Sebastian Smythe had him when they were young in their senior year after his parents regionals win and now he's barring the result of everything because of them having him young.

Skylar sat there silently crying, thinking about how his parents life was so easy for them, and he's having it rough. Skylar wiped his eyes from crying, looked up to grab a tissue and saw that he wasn't in his room anymore but at the Lima bean instead. Skylar was confused at how he ended up there, and began to freak out, but stopped himself when he saw his mum sitting at one of the tables talking to his uncle Blaine, and noticed she wearing an engagement ring, and started to wonder if the ring was because of his dad or because of Finn Hudson.

As he silently watched his mum and uncle Blaine and wondered if he should talk to her, he saw two girls who he knew were Santana and Quinn walk up to them, and started teasing her and his uncle Blaine standing up for her. He was shocked and angry that his mum was getting bullied and his dad was nowhere to be seen. As he watched in amazement he noticed his dad walking in wearing the same uniform he does.

Skylar was shocked and surprised to know that he's at Dalton because his dad went there. Skylar kept his eyes in Sebastian's view and never left him, and watched how his dad was standing and defending his mum who seemed annoyed at him. He watched his dad walk up to the counter, and thought it was his chance to speak to him. Skylar stood up walked to the counter and silently stood behind his dad. As he stood in line, he mentally panicked when he saw his dad turn around.

Skylar's panic immediately went away when he noticed his dad staring at his mum, and he noticed then that his dad has always loved his mum. Skylar took this opportunity to talk to Sebastian and said

"You love her don't you?" Skylar watched Sebastian turn to look at him and said

"You have no idea, but I can't do anything about it, because she's engaged to another, and I have to accept that, no matter how badly I want her." Skylar had never seen his dad so heartbroken and sad, he always knew that it was his dad that freed his mum from Finn with a blackmail, but he never would have guessed it was because he loved her too. Skylar gave a small smile and said

"I have a feeling that she loves you back." Skylar hoped that his dad Sebastian didn't pick up that he was his and Rachel's son. He watched his dad looking at him and he said

"Do i know you from somewhere have we met at all?" Skylar shook his head really fast and said

"Nope just some random in a coffee line." Skylar hoped that he believed it, but quickly walked away from him before any more questions were asked, and then watched his parents from a distance.

As Skylar watched them, he was amazed and shocked to know that his parents didn't have it easy in highschool. He watched Blaine leave, and then his dad and his friends leave, leaving his mum on her own, as he was about to stand up to walk over to her, he saw his mum's ex fiancé Finn Hudson sit across from her. He knew his dad has always hated Finn, why he didn't know, but he now knew it was because Finn didn't treat his mum right.

A few days later, Skylar sat in the very back of the Lima the day before regionals, and watched his dad communicate with his mum, Skylar knew that it was the day of the blackmail. Skylar watched on as his uncle Kurt became angry and annoyed, and his mum become upset, and saw Santana, Finn and Quinn give his parents ridicule, and made his mum feel alone and scared, and heard from Kurt about how she was siding with competition like she always did, and he now knew how his mum went to the arms of his dad, and he also saw how the warblers especially his godfathers uncle Thad and uncle Trent shunned his dad just for blackmailing his mum to break up with her ex, and fro almost blinding his uncle Blaine when no one told him to be a hero, which shocked him and made him more angry because his parents were the kindest people, and he saw that everyone took them for granted and wanted them to change for their respected glee club sacrificing their happiness.

Skylar had no idea that his parents got tormented, bullied, made fun of and was made to sacrifice their happiness when they were in highschool. He always thought his parents had it easy in highschool, and was giving him the rough life because he was born when they were in highschool. Skylar now knew differently, as he sat there at his table with his eyes closed not wanting to see what his parents were going through, he heard soft knocking. He opened his eyes and saw that he was once again in his room, and realised he must have fallen asleep angry and upset, and was relieved that it was only a dream

Skylar stood up, walked to his door, and saw his mum standing on the other side. Skylar hugged Rachel tight and said

"I'm sorry mum, I shouldn't have yelled at you." Rachel hugged Skylar back tight and said

"It's okay Sky, I know you only said it because you were angry and upset. Now are you going to tell me what's going on at school?" Skylar relaxed in his mum's arms, silently cried and said

"Not yet, right now I just want to hug you, like we always did when I was sad."

As Skylar hugged his mum, he promised himself that he was never going to take his parents for granted again, and never get angry at them just for caring and worrying about him.
