I take a step towards the door. Kiran raises his gun. Master Lind puts his watch close to his mouth. "send in troops to main door." he grins. "Don't move, or I'll shoot." he sneers at us. I can see Kiran assessing the situation in his head. Suddenly, he shoots Master Lind in the hand. he shrieks. we bolt towards the door. we exit the compound and I gasp. the world around is a complete wasteland. there are old tires, garbage, and birds everywhere. from somewhere behind us I hear loud shouts. "Run faster!" Ana yells. we do. I hear bullets whiz past my head. I run faster. I hear a scream and turn to see Saen collapse. I am angered. how dare they do this to us! I rush towards him, but Kiran pulls me back. "No time! they'll shoot us!" he screams. he is right. We run for a good 2 minutes, then Izey falls down with a thump. his head is seeping blood. I let out a sob. I run forward looking back at him. A pain shoots through my foot as I fall to the ground. I look and see barbed wire around my leg. "Kiran!" I scream, for I can't get up. He turns and runs to me. he falls before me and starts ripping at the wire, even though it's ripping his hand to shreds. suddenly, he moans and clutches his shoulder. Seeing the pain, Taylor and Ana rush to us. Ana and Jaymees help me get untangled, and Taylor helps Kiran get his bearings. I break free from the wire. I look over at Kiran and gasp. Taylor is holding a knife over His heart. I lunge at Her and punch her in the face. She roars in pain and scrambles to get her knife, but I pin her down. "What are you doing?" I hiss into her ear. she grins. "Don't you get it? I'm the traitor! I'm working for Master Lind! I'm working to rid the world of-" her words are cut short. her knife is in her chest, piercing her lungs. she gasps for air, then dies. I stand up. "Let's go before they come and kill us." I say. we run as fast as we can, but Kiran really is slowing us down. "Go without me!" he moans. "Save yourselves." I shake my head in indication that I won't. he smiles weakly. "I love you." he says. "Me too." I whisper. Ana snorts. Jaymees looks at her and they roll their eyes. I ignore them. we run for a good 20 minutes, dodging bullets, but fortunately taking no more hits. we finally see buildings silhouettes in the distance. I give a whoop of joy. Kiran laughs. we run to the city.
