Chapter 14

"I can't believe they still do this crappy car wash," Bellamy rolled his eyes.

"It's not that bad..." I shrugged hoping the aspirins I took would kick in soon. "Have you uh...spoken to Victoria?"

"You've dropped the nickname, does that mean you don't think she's a slut anymore?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well-" I begun only to be interrupted by Bellamy's glare.

"Yeah I've spoken to her." He said bringing me my fried eggs on toast over.

"And?"

"We broke up."

"Bellamy I'm so sorry..." I sighed, I felt so guilty. If my sisterly instincts hadn't of kicked in whilst extremely intoxicated, they may still be together.

"It's fine. Turns out she never really liked you, and I can't be with someone who doesn't like my little sis." He winked.

"Fucking bitch..." I muttered only to be given the death stare of the century. "Okay okay!" I held up my hands in surrender.

"You want me to take you later?"

"Yes please," I smiled as I put a piece of toast in my mouth.

"Only of you wash my car." Bellamy smirked.

"Get lost! Someone else can clean your car." I rolled my eyes. My phone vibrated so I checked it straight away, it was from Taylor.

'Checked your bikini yet?! xxx'

"I'll be down in a minute, I'm going to get changed..." I told Bellamy as I walked upstairs. Opening my bedroom door I went straight to my desk where the carrier bag lay. Picking it up I removed the bikini from inside and admired it. It was the most perfect pale shade of violet I had ever seen and it had a diamond gem in the middle at the front.

"You sly fox, Taylor." I smiled. Throwing the bikini on the bed I went to my closet and pulled out a pair of dark denim shorts and a white blouse. I stripped from my current clothes entirely and put on my new bikini then shoved the shorts on. Slinging a white tank top on I put the blouse on over the top. Deciding to leave my hair down and wavey, I slipped on my white converse and shoved my phone in my pocket then trudged back downstairs.

"You quite finished?" Bellamy asked.

"Yeah- Heyyy you ate my food." I grumbled walking over to my empty plate.

"Oops." Bellamy shrugged as he grabbed his car keys.

"Where are you going?" I asked pulling a puzzled expression.

"Taking you to school," Bellamy said heading to the door.

"But we don't start till-"

"Twelve! Which is the time right now." Bellamy smirked as he slipped through the door.

"Shit." I mumbled as I rushed after him.

***************

"Your late." Mrs.Crow glared at me.

"Sorry. Traffic." I lied. I peered behind her and saw guys with there tops off and girls in bikinis that had already started to wash cars.

"Name." She looked down at the sheet, you could so tell she didn't want to be here.

"Gretchen Rousso." I replied.

"Go ahead Miss.Rousso." Mrs.Crow gestured with her hand. I shot off past her and ran straight for Taylor and jumped on her back.

"You have such good taste!" I laughed as I jumped off her.

"God Gretch, you scared the shit outta me!" She panted as she dumped the sponge in the bucket.

"I love it!" I smiled at her.

"Says the girl fully clothed." Taylor said in a monotone voice "Show me!" I did as she asked and took my tank top and blouse off to show her the violet bikini top.

"Gretch you look great!" She gushed. "I'm so jealous of your natural tan." She frowned.

"Shut up," I laughed as I caught a glimpse of Grace sitting on a bench nearby. "I'll be right back..." I muttered as I walked over to Grace.

"You and I need a serious conversation." I said as I clambered onto the bench with her.

"We do?"

"We do." I nodded. "So the boyfriend?"

"Oh the boyfriend...I was going to tell you Gretch but we wanted to keep it quiet for a little while, see how we went." Grace explained.

"I know its fine, I'm only teasing but I'm glad you've found a boy like Andrew he's nice,"

"Thanks," she blushed a little.

"Speaking of nice, where is he? I'm sure he'd looove to see you in a bikini top." I wiggled my eyebrows at her, Grace did look pretty in her blue and white polka dot bikini top.

"He's on his way," she laughed. "He's going to be late."

"Oh dear, warn him from me that he'll be in Mrs.Crow's bad books for the rest of eternity then," I smiled.

"Sure," she chuckled "You can leave your stuff in my bag if you'd like?"

"Please," I smiled handing her my tops and phone.

"Lets go," she smiled once she'd put my thing's in her bag. We slowly jogged back over to Taylor who oh so happened to be talking to my brother in his car.

"Ohh no." I shook my head.

"Gretch, at least he's a paying customer." Taylor laughed at me.

"Yes be nice to the paying customer Gretch." Bellamy smirked.

"Screw you guys. I'll do the car behind." I rolled my eyes laughing as I walked up to the cars window which was rolled down.

"It will be £5 for the wash Mr." I said as I scanned the school car park for someone.

"I'll have the full works and so will my brother behind me." A familiar voice spoke. I snapped my head down to driver.

"Hi Mason." I rolled my eyes.

"Gretchen," he nodded "Your looking unmistakably hot."

"Thanks," I laughed taking the money from his hand.

"Gretch!" Kendall called as he strolled towards me and handed me the money.

"Hey," I smiled as put the money in my back pocket.

"Are you going to use a sponge to clean the car or your boobs?" Kendall asked smirking.

"Stop being gross, Blake brothers," I rolled my eyes. "You can tell you two are related." I laughed as they both pulled faces at me. Smiling I went and grabbed a bucket of soapy water and some sponges.

"Grace! Can you help me?" I called over.

"Sure hold on!" She shouted back over. Dumping the bucket on the floor I noticed Kendall staring so I followed his gaze to land on Taylor.

"You have the hots for my best friend?" I asked as I picked up a sponge.

"Were you there last night? He practically eat her face off." Mason laughed.

"So what if I like her." He shrugged.

"Well I'll tell you now, you hurt her and I'll castrate you. Got it?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Calm down Gretch, I'm not a total player," he held his hands up in surrender.

"Hmm watch it." I muttered as I begun to wash Mason's car.

"So is your other brother here?" I asked them both.

"Should be." Mason replied getting out of the car.

"I haven't seen him yet..." I muttered glancing around the car park.

"He might be ditching, he usually hates things like this." Mason shrugged.

"How come?" I asked curiously.

"Um no reason..." Mason coughed awkwardly. I didn't want to push Mason into telling me something he clearly didn't want to talk about whether he was just protecting his brother or his own personal feelings I respect that, though I was going to find out sooner or later.

"Have I missed anything?" Nathan asked as he strolled over to greet his brothers.

"Just Gretch washing bird shit off my windshield." Mason smirked jerking his thumb over at me.

"Screw you I'm not cleaning off the bird shit!"

"I paid you." Mason argued.

"I'm not a prostitute." I frowned throwing the wet sponge at Mason's back.

"Hey!" Mason complained wiping down his shirt.

"Hey Gretch," Nathan nodded in my direction. "You look amazing."

"Thanks," I blushed a little as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Hey Grace, your boys over there." I called to her pointing over to the other side of the lot.

"Thanks Gretch! Back in a minute." She grinned as she dropped the sponge and ran in his direction.

"She's got a boyfriend?" Nathan asked pulling a face.

"Yeah, Andrew." I nodded. "I was only told less then 24 hours ago too so your not alone."

"Less talking and more cleaning." Mason moaned.

"Hey whatever dude." I rolled my eyes. "Just get your brother to stop eye molesting my best friend." I said looking at Kendall.

"Whatever...she's hot." He shrugged "Everybody shut up she's walking over!" Kendall hushed everyone hurriedly.

"Your going to make it obvious." I rolled my eyes before receiving one more dirty look off of him.

"You need help over here?" Taylor asked.

"I thought you were cleaning my brothers car?" I asked.

"I said I will after he's stopped chatting up Mandy." She pointed. Leaning forward slightly, true enough I saw Bellamy leaning against his car talking to our classmate Mandy.

"Oh God." I moaned. "Fine you can help me wash Mr.Impatients car." I glared at Mason who returned it happily. Chucking Taylor a sponge we begun to clean the hood of Mason's car thoroughly whilst I chatted to Mason and Nathan, Taylor was being flirted with by Kendall.

"Aren't you going to help?" I asked glancing to Nathan.

"I'll help, but not with my brothers car." Nathan smirked.

"Please? For me?" I pulled a puppy dog face at him hoping he'd be vulnerable enough to go along.

"No chance."

"Awww but Nathan baby look at her," Mason teased his brother pinching his cheeks.

"Get off." Nathan swatted him away.

"Oh hell no..." I muttered looking past Nathan and Mason.

"What?" They said in unison turning around to find what I was looking at.

"Taylor!" I tried to get her attention.

"What?" She asked. I grabbed her hand and pushed our way past Nathan and Mason.

"There." I pointed.

"Oh Jesus Christ!" She gasped and then we both burst out laughing until our stomachs hurt.

"Does anyone else know what there laughing at?" Nathan asked.

"Not a clue." Kendall mumbled as he stood on Nathan's left.

"What's so funny?" Mason called over.

"That is!" I pointed over to Bella Sunderland cleaning a car just ahead of us.

"Oh." Mason nodded.

"And why's that so hilarious?" Kendall asked swapping his gaze between Taylor and I.

"Because its Bella Sunderland." Taylor smirked as she glanced back over. Bella and the rest of her cheerleading squad were all cleaning the same car partly wearing their cheerleading costumes. They were wearing bikini tops and then the cheerleading skirt that hardly covered their butts.

"Hey Bella! Cover up I can see your cervix!" I shouted over to her.

"Stop it!" Taylor gripped my arm for support as she doubled over in laughter. A few chuckles came from the three brothers behind me as I smiled in victory as she replied.

"What?" Bella shouted over.

"I can see what you had for breakfast!" I yelled as Taylors grip tightened as she tried not to laugh.

"Ugh whatever Rousso!" Bella flicked her hair over her shoulder.

"Gretch, watch it." Bellamy called over from his car as he watched carefully.

"You missed a bit Bella!" Taylor shouted. Bella threw her sponge to the floor and stormed towards the school building with a couple of her sheep following her.

"Oh God!" I clutched my stomache laughing.

"You really love winding her up," Nathan smiled.

"Yep," I laughed as I tried to compose myself.

"Um ladies hate to rain on your parade and all but is the teacher supposed to be storming towards us?" Mason asked. Glancing behind us sure enough Mrs.Crow was heading straight this way with Bella by her side.

"Shit!" I muttered. "This will be like my third strike..."

"Shit girl you better run!" Taylor shoved me in the opposite direction away from Mrs.Crow.

"Here!" Nathan grabbed my hand and tugged me away we ran as fast as we could all the way over to the other side of the lot without being seen by Mrs.Crow.

"Thanks," I smiled panting a little.

"We need to work on you agility too." Nathan commented.

"Jeeze thanks, just criticize me all over for my physical abilities." I frowned.

"How was the hangover?" Nathan chuckled.

"It was durable..." I shrugged.

"It was pretty eventful last night."

"I know. My brother and Victoria broke up, but it turns out she was a bitch." I shrugged.

"Do you remember what I said to you last night?" Nathan asked gently.

"I think..."

"Your brother told me your going through a rough patch at the moment." Nathan spoke quietly. Great thanks to Bellamy, Nathan probably thinks I'm a nut job, going round punching my brothers girlfriend and getting myself wasted.

"Anything else?" I whispered as my mind nervously flickered to Daniel as my heart simultaneously broke a little. Bellamy wouldn't tell Nathan about Daniel...right?

"Just that you've been having a tough time and that you've needed a lot of comfort from your brother, that's why you did what you did last night." Nathan explained as a tear trickled down my cheek, Nathan outstretched his hand and wiped the tear away but left his hand resting on my face.

"I want to let you know Gretchen, that if you ever want to talk to me about anything or just need company I will be right here for you. I'm not going anywhere. Since the day I started this school when you mouthed off at me I kind of admired you for that. No one had ever spoken to me in that tone, especially a girl." Nathan smiled a little. "But now I've got to know the real you your completely different to what you put out there. To others other than Taylor and Grace you seem distant and isolated and that's how you want it to be, but I've gone past them barriers haven't I?"

"Yes." I whispered frozen into place. Everything had blurred away, the whole world seemed to stand still and all I concentrated on was Nathan.

"I've got to know you well, and I am completely confident in saying that your one of the most funniest, witty, sarcastic, strong minded, determined, beautiful girls I've ever known the pleasure of meeting and because of that I remain right here for you. At anytime or anywhere. I'm right here." He stared deeply into my eyes not breaking contact once as he slowly leaned in towards my face.

I pushed myself up on my tiptoes and joined our lips together. Nathan allowed his hand to slip from my face to my waist as he pulled me closer to him. I brought my arms up and snaked them round his neck gently as our lips moved in sync together. For some reason this felt right, through all what I'd been through I'd finally met someone that I felt comfortable with and happy when he kissed me. I smiled into the kiss letting him know he'd won me when suddenly we were drenched by water. Pulling apart we looked over to Grace who was holding a hose with Andrew standing next to her smirking.

"Get a room you too." She smiled happily. Looking back to Nathan I laughed as I looked myself over then back to Nathan and his dripping shirt. He smiled at me before giving me a peck on the lips. I had a good feeling that this would be the beginning of a fresh start.
