Blazingkit POV

I'm going to make mom so proud! She won't ever go hungry OR have to hunt. I guess that means she'll be like an elder.

Blazingkit giggled and then stretched her paws through the lush grass that made up her favorite spot in camp. The trees around her rustled and shivered with the wind that sometimes floated through the air.

I really want to learn how to hunt, so I have a head start on Skykit! Even though he's half a moon older age doesn't matter, it just takes skill and the patience to learn the crouch + techniques. Everyone is always telling me that I'm a great learner, so maybe it's time I revealed to them just how awesome I really am!

Turning Blazingkit spotted Nightgaze. " She's been through clan life! She would be a good teacher. I would hope anyway" She whispered both quietly and excitedly at the same time.

Blazingkit scampered over to Nightgaze, the older cat had recently groomed her fur after participating in a border patrol, so her fur was glossy and shimmered from the sunlight.

" I'm going to be the best hunter, all of you will see!" Blazingkit announced as she finished taking the last paw-step toward the warrior.

Nightgaze narrowed her eyes playfully " Well is that so? "

" Yes!" Blazingkit mewled excitedly, her tail lashing expectantly.

" Well then I bet you are." Nightgaze smiled and sat up, finished with her grooming.

" Does that mean you'll teach me the hunting crouch?" Blazingkit gasped, her eyes going as wide as the full moon " That would be so cool!"

" I'm sure Blosspaw would be happy to teach you the hunting crouch. " Nightgaze responded breezily, not too keen on being a mentor just yet.

Blosspaw's head shot up and whipped around to face Nightgaze, her tail fluffed up," Me? But... I'm just an apprentice!"

" Yes, you," Nightgaze rolled her eyes and tiled her head toward the kit, " Just help Blazingkit, it shouldn't be too difficult since your half-way finished already. "

" Oh... I mean, I guess I can try," Blosspaw stood up as Blazingkit trotted over," ready for your first lesson?"
Windgorse POV

Stupid Starclan.... They don't care

They never have

They never will

I can't do this

The medicine cat's fur was matted and her ribs were showing. It had been half of a quarter moon since the incident with the kit and Windgorse had begun to feel worse and worse

Eating and grooming and being normal would make Starclan happy! They've abandoned us! I will not give them joy...

I will not give them the satisfaction.

Windgorse's stomach ached and her tail twitched constantly now from the hunger.

I'll get some traveling herbs and go to the moonstone. I can talk to them... Show them... Prove to the that I can stand on my own.

Windgorse sighed. She had once been wholly and fully dedicated to it, but now she doubted it. It was boring. She couldn't love. Couldn't have a family. Couldn't have offspring of her own. Kits would be a blessing to her and she couldn't have them, the stupid code forbid it. She growled and curled up by her den, shallow raspy breathing escaping her lips as she prepared to take a nap before setting off on the journey to confront Starclan.

Windgorse ended up getting tangled in the moss from her matted fur. She lay there, tangled in moss, thinking of how the Medicine Cats who had kits where shamed, abandoned along with their kits.

There is even a code that says not to abandon kits, this is why I hate you Starclan, your rules make no sense and contradict each other. Yet everyone will follow your will blindly. Stupid clan cats...

Suddenly Windgorse stood, and scrambled unsteadily toward Jaylight. Her tail shook and her eyes darting all over the place. A look of pure terror in her eyes. She could feel words of power surging through the air.

" It's... It's urgent! I-i need help! But... N-no one is going t-to know Y-Y-yet. " she shivered, her body spasmed and she fell, hitting her head hard against a rock lying on the ground.

Jaylight leaped up in surprise " Nightgaze, help!" She called and dashed over to the medicine cat. She rolled her over and stared at the wound. She sniffed it " Why did you fall?" She whispered to herself. Not expecting and answer, Jaylight began to lick the wound clean of the dirt embedded in her skin. 

" I was distracted. Cobwebs," Windgorse coughed out, since her body was in no doubt the weakest state it had ever been in.

" Distracted!" Jaylight snorted " Right. " and darted to the Medicine Den, bringing out a sticky bundle of cobwebs since Nightgaze was dumbstruck and simply standing there with a blank mind.

Rosestar padded out of her den, her eyes wandering to Windgorse's fallen form on the ground.  " Russetwing help me carry her!" She called instantly, leaping down gracefully from her den. " We need to make sure she is alright."

Starclan is against me.

The world grew dark

Blazingkit POV

" I did it! I got it right!" Blazingkit purred padding over to her mother who sat just in front of the nearly empty fresh kill pile.

" Not now.." Jaylight murmured as she stared anxiously at the Medicine den. Russetwing, Feathertail, and Rosestar had brought the Fallen Cat into her den.

" What's wrong?" Blazingkit frowned, not sure why all the grown cats were so worried about a clumsy cat.

I don't like it when mom is upset. I'm going to fix it with a mouse! Mom loves mouse. I love mouse too. Why is everyone so upset that she fell? I fall all the time and no one seems that concerned, maybe it's because big cats aren't supposed to fall but little cats are.

Blazingkit padded over to the fresh kill pile and dragged a small mouse over to her mother, Jaylight. Jaylight smiled at her kit, a smile that only a mother could give to her child, one that was both reassuring and thankful," Thank you my brave little kit. "

Mommy is happy now! I did something good. Good is much better than dad, Dad was evil. But I remember.... I never want to worry mom and tell her that I remember though.

She worries anyway but i guess it's better off if everyone thinks I'm just a silly kit who doesn't know the truth about this cruel world.

Blazingkit watched her mother happily and curled up next to her, eyes closing sleepily as she felt the warmth of her mother spread through her, " I love you..."

I love you so much mom.

You're the reason I'm not going to break the rules.

" I love you too Blazingkit." Jaylight purred warming her daughter up " I always will, no matter what happens..."

Don't worry things get a lot interesting later. Just stick with me and see. Also I love this and it's on Instagram (not an actual post story but an rp) and it's amazing. This version is actually going to be modified later on but right now it's about the same.
