Bluekit, Maplekit, and Spottedkit were outside playing with Ivypool's litter that is only two moons older than Frogheart's.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here under highledge for a Clan meeting," hollered Bramblestar the Clan leader. "Today we are here to make two new Clan apprentices. Dashkit and Grasskit please come forward. Dashkit are you willing to become a warrior?"
"Yes," replied Dashkit.
"Then by the power of Starclan until this apprentice is ready to become a warrior he will be known as Dashpaw, and your mentor will be Lilyheart."
Bramblestar repeated these same words and Grasskit became Grasspaw and her mentor was Hollyclaw.
"It's not far that they can become apprentices," protested Bluekit.
"Our time will come," replied Spottedkit.
"When did you become so wise?" Asked Maplekit.
"If you didn't know this, I want to be a medicine cat.
