Zoey's POV;

     "I'm Carl. Carl Grimes. Who are you?"

Woah. He just asked me a question! Ugh, get it together Zoey, snap out of it. "My name is Zoey. And this is my cousin Kendall." I simply replied. "Do you think you could help us?" Kendall asked. I quickly glanced at her. What was she thinking! Asking a random person if they could help us. We know nothing about him except his name. Although.. I guess he might be okay to help us. "Umm.. It depends, what do you need help with?" Carl replied. "We could use some help with-" I cut Kendall off, "We could use some help with finding our families." Just as another groan approached us Carl yelled "Okay! Let's go!"

  Kendall's POV;

   I'm sort of confused about this Carl guy. Zoey seems to be.. Well.. I don't know what she seems to be doing with him. I guess she's just as confused as me she doesn't know what to feel about him. Some random kid, who looks about a year older than her walks out of no-where and saves here from a walker. What is going on?! Is this a dream? 

LATER:

"My legs hurt! Can we go now?" We all have been walking around town looking for survivors, the only people we found were just maniacs. they were rocking themselves to sleep on the floor crying. They wouldn't answer any questions of ours, they wouldn't come with us either. All of a sudden Carl and Zoey stopped in their tracks. Carl looked at me and Zoey with his finger against his lips signaling silence. I strained my neck to see what they stopped so suddenly to look at. I saw blood.. It looked fresh and I looked around and then saw why they stopped walking. There were 2 walkers huddled over a body.. And were eating it. I had to look away. I can't handle this.

Zoey's POV;

I can't stop thinking about Carl.. Now that we've been out of the dark school I saw the color of his eyes.. They're ice blue, Something about him though.. It just seems off. "Do you guys have anywhere you want to go before we go somewhere else?" Carl asked us."Yes. If we could actually go to the places we wanted to go to in the first place." Kendall carelessly replied. "Well I don't know where you guys live."
"Follow me then."
Kendall walked off towards her house. Me and Carl followed after her.

Kendall's POV;

I feel kind of bad for snapping at Carl earlier. He seems like a nice guy and I should be nicer to him. I think I should apologize. I took a deep breath and walked up to Carl. "Hey, I'm sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have snapped."

"It's alright." Was all he said before he sped up and walked next to Zoey.

LATER:

We stopped at my house to find none of my family there. They weren't dead, but they weren't alive either. The house was empty, We're just about to go into Zoey's house when I hear a groan. No one else seemed to notice and I didn't see anything. But, just then a walker came around the house and right up to Zoey, she screamed and the walker pushed her down, I was frozen in fear and couldn't move and didn't know what to do. Luckily, Carl was quick and took out a knife. I didn't know he had a knife! But he killed the walker with a blow to the head. Blood on his clothes and on Zoey's, "Thanks!" Zoey gasped. She got up to her feet and suddenly hugged Carl. "Don't mention it, now lets go inside."

 Carl opened the door, knife ready in-case a walker came out. He held his hand out blocking the door. He put his knife in his other hand and knocked on the wooden door frame then stood there waiting. He then motioned for us to come inside. I walked over to the bathroom to see if there would be any medicine cabinets, and of course toilet paper. I opened up the first cabinet and what caught my eye was nail polish. I thought I read somewhere that nail polish could help clean things. Or was that nail polish remover.. Oh well. I walked out of the bathroom with everything we might need from there and walked into the living room. I saw Zoey frozen in place in the door way. What was she looking at?
