Chapter 2
"This is incredible, Brooke." He was much more amazed than he ever thought he ever would be.
Brooke grins, seeing that he liked it, "I'm glad you like it. I always love this time of year. Everything seems beautiful and even magical." Her eyes glowed like a shooting star. The joy showed on her face, like a child opening their presents on Christmas day.
They walked around, looking at all the lights and decorations. Everything seemed so peaceful, and happy.
Is this how humans feel during this time of the year? 22 asked himself. He also had a name the humans had giving him. It was Jerry. That was his new name. He didn't mind, the name 22-20 only gave him memories he didn't want to remember again.
After they had finished looking at everything they possiblly could, they went to go visit Ariara and Reyald's house. Brooke wanted to go see their baby. He was two-years-old by now. She wanted to see how much he had grown and/or changed.
They went to their house and knocked. They waited for a few minutes, until the door opened. A exausted, happy Ariara stood inside the house with the door open, "Hey guys. You came just in time." She was holding little Tommy in her arms. He was exsausted too, crying.
Brooke looked at her worried, "You look exsausted. Is there anything we can do to help out?"
She smiled, trying to wash the triedness away, "That's very kind of you, but no thank you. Reyald and I can handle our child. " She then yawned, forcing herself to try to not fall to sleep. She then quickly apollogized, "I'm so sorry! I should let you two inside. It's freezing out here." She moved out of the way for them to come inside the house.
"It's ok." Brooke smiles, and giggles a bit. "It happens." Then she asked again, "Are you sure you don't need any help?"
Ariara sighed, starting to give in. She closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths in and out. She had been stressing too much, and been too busy to relax. Yes, Reyald was trying his best to help. But it didn't seem like it could fully calm her stress and axienty. She looked back up at Brooke; as her son finally calmed down and fell asleep, she nodded to Brooke in agreement.
Brooke smiled a gentle smile and spoke in a whisper, "I'll take Tommy to bed for you if you'd like. So you could at least have some peace and quiet to rest."
Ariara nodded with a whisper back, "Yes. Thank you. I'm so glad that you and Reyald are here to help. I don't know what I would do without either of you."
