Are you sure you're all ready for this? Muhahahaha!

Felicity's POV.

In a few hours Lana will be crowned Luna, and Warren will become Alpha. Since Lana wanted me with her for the ceremony- truthfully I don't understand why, as I was the reason she was kept from her mate- I was currently in Warren's room- that is now also hers- 'helping' her get beautified for the ceremony.

I wasn't really doing anything, some of the other pack women were bathing her in special oils, doing her hair, her makeup; the finishing touches will be for me to help her put on her gown. I was already dressed in a floor length deep red dress and am completely ready for tonight, only the future Luna is the last to be finished. I keep catching the disapproving and rude looks from women of my pack, not so subtly I might add. They probably didn't understand why Lana wanted me with her as there were many young woman of the pack to chose from to stand beside her.

"Thank you ladies, that will be all." Lana sharply commands them out, her angery tone clearly heard by everyone, they all file out with one last rude look to me and shut the door behind them. I'm brought back to attention by the sound of Lana's frustrated voice "ugh, I hate the way everyone is looking at you! I've moved on, so why can't they?! I know it wasn't your fault for what happened...they...they...ugh, it's so annoying." At her words I tense up immediately, there is no way she knows about him. She couldn't, could she?!

She turns back to me and sees the look on my face, she walks over to me, grabs my hands and pulls me to the bed "No Licy, I don't know the reason as to why but I do know that there is a reason. Every time I saw you with Warren I could see an immeasurable amount of pain, that you tried to hide from everyone. And quite well I might add, but when I looked into your eyes they gave everything away. Also I knew Warren had strong feelings for you, I could see it in the way he was around me."

I bow my head down in embarrassment and shame. For her to go through that, to see that, get rejected and then feel pain when we were together- it must have been horrible. "I'm so sorry we put you through that Lana, it should never have happened." Lana softly pulls me into a hug and says beside my ear, "it's okay Licy, truly. I just hope that from now on you can see me as a true friend. I also hope that once day you will confide in me whatever it is you're going through. You don't have to go through it alone, okay? I'll always be here for you."

"Thank you Lana, I have no idea why you decided to befriend me but I'm really happy you are. Truthfully I haven't had a friend in a very long time so it means a lot to me." A single tear slides down my face as I say these words, remembering that horrible night so long ago. Lana wipes the tear away and we sit there in silence for a few minutes.

The sad moment passes and Lana pulls us both up, "Okay well its time for me to put the dress on!" I move over to the closet and remove the only covered ballroom-like gown. I hang it on the back of the bedroom door and pull the zipper down. As the dress is revealed to us both, we gasp, I remove it from the hanger and carefully bring it over to Lana, she moves the robe from around her and together we work to put the dress on her.

Once she has it on and everything is tied up tightly and to perfection, we move to the mirror "you look so beautiful Lana." In response all she can do is nod, I can tell by the look on her face she is too overwhelmed for words. Her mother spent weeks making the gown, from the very minute she heard Lana found Warren. Even after all the drama she continued to make.

Her gown was a deep emerald green that was strapless at the top and flowed down behind her back with a small train flowing out behind her. It made every one of her features exsensuate: her hair looked to be more of a richer brown, her eye colour popped out bright, her skin flawless. She was truly magnificent. I couldn't wait to see Warren's face when he laid eyes on her, I'm sure he will pass out from how beautiful she is- and to think I thought she was plain looking.

We both turn to the sound of a knock at the door, "ladies it's time for you to come down stairs." We head to the door but just before we open it I stop her "Wait! I have something for you." I grab the very small bundle I brought with me that I left on the dresser upon entry and open it, I search with my fingers for a few seconds before I feel it. I pull it out and motion for Lana to turn away from me, moving the chain up over her head and clasping it at the nape of her neck. "This was given to me by someone very special to me and tonight as I was leaving my room I saw it and couldn't shake the feeling that you needed to wear it."

She looks down and fiddles with it between her fingers, it's a beautiful, sitting wolf that keeps its head tilted upwards as if it were howling at the moon, all over the wolf are swirls and slight carvings that add detail to its shape. Without a word Lana smiles and hugs me, this just felt right to give to her for tonight.

Together we leave the room and close the door behind us, we walk around the house towards the back door and wait for our cue, when we here Warren's father announce our names Lana opens the door and walks out with me following behind her. We walk through the crowd to the stage, I look around me to see a look of envy flashing in the eyes of many of the females in my pack who want to be in my place, but soon I forget about them. As I walk up the stage my sensitive nose catches that same strange scent I smelt so long ago in the music area of the university after my piano lesson, what is it doing here?

As I look past Lana and Warren, that's when my heart stops and everything changed.
