The spider
It was a quiet and peaceful day. Everyone was quiet. Mike went out somewhere, while everyone else stayed home. Tim was under his bed, reading a book. Brian was also reading a book on the second couch, under the window. Jack was watching a video on his tablet, and Violet was lying on his bed, listening to music. Bill, however, was bored. He went to the pantry to get a snack. And you won't believe what he saw.
New snacks! He can't remember when Brian last went shopping, but he was going to eat the new snacks. Just then, he noticed out of the corner of his eye, in the corner of the room, a spider.
He dropped his treat. His one fear had come. He couldn't kill it, as he was afraid bug guts would fly everywhere. It looked so menacing and evil. He didn't dare lay a finger on it.
"Hey, guys, can you come look at this?" Brian was the only one who heard.
"What's up?"
He froze.
"Oh. My gosh. Call 911 quick!"
"Calm down, Brian. We can't do that. The cops won't listen. They only help people who are dying or arresting robbers."
It crawled into the main room super fast for a spider his size. They turned the corner and it was gone. Bill was confused and Brian was utterly terrified. Jack finally acknowledged them, and took off his headphones.
"What's going on?"
Brian was stuttering and pointing at Jack.
"What is it?"
Bill looked at him and froze.
"DON'T. MOVE."
Jack freaked out when he felt something on his head. It flew off and landed somewhere in Valerie and Tim's room. All three peeked in nervously and looked around. They heard a big thump and saw Tim's bed jump. Out came Tim, running towards the three people. They fell back as Tim trampled them. They all brushed themselves off to make sure the spider wasn't on them.
"I heard a scream of bloody murder. What is it?" Asked Valerie.
They saw the spider climbing on the wall. All of them screamed and jumped behind Valerie.

"Really? Guys, it's just a spider."
"So why don't you kill it?"
"Because they help the environment. They're a part of life. You wouldn't want tons and tons of other bugs, would you?" Asked Valerie.
"Well, not unless they were all cute and cuddly." Said Tim, currently hugging Valerie's leg for dear life.
The spider came close to then and they ran to the other side of the room. The spider kept chasing them in circles as Valerie just watched.
Then, They were all held in a corner. The spider kept coming inches closer, and they thought that this was the end.
Just then, Mike came home.
"KILL IT! QUICK!"
Mike grinned and grabbed a baseball bat.
"No, no! They need to learn to love-"
Just then, Mike smashed the demon with a baseball bat, spraying guts all over the scared adults, and a spot on Valerie's face.
"-Spiders."
The for scared adults piled into the bathroom, fighting over who gets to clean off the guts first. They had to resort to the bathroom and kitchen sink, and lots and lots of cleaning wipes.
"You just had to do that, didn't you?" Asked Valerie, staring at the dent in the floor. Mike was also staring at the floor, but at the dead bug and questioning how to get rid of it.
"Well, I'm leaving. I can only deal with lunatics for a certain amount of time."
Mike stared into the dead spider, questioning life.
