The days passed quickly following Eren's absence, Levi and I spent most of our time working side by side in his office before turning in early and spending our afternoons in the library or carrying out other tasks separately. In the evening we would have dinner together before heading to bed.

"Tell us later," Levi brushed her off, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. "Tell Farlan he can have the rest of the afternoon off, the two of you should go do something."

"I'm letting Isabel back in," I rolled my eyes at him, blowing a kiss in his direction as I went for the door. "If you want a private moment like that you can just ask."

"I've got work to do."

"You can kiss me and do paperwork at the same time," I hummed, opening the door.

"Finally! I was going to die if I heard another second of that conversation."
