"Maybe this isn't the best time to be doing this." I stammered gesturing to the ruined area.
"I don't see why it wouldn't be a good time." Mom said smiling and leaning closer to inspect Bakugo.
This can't be good.
"Well I mean there's a battle going on-" Just like that the battle wrapped up.
Why does everything have to bow down to her now.
"Well look at that everything just finished!" She cheered smiling and clasping hands with Dad who was staring at this whole scene incredible amused.
THINK FAST Y/N.
"Can you give us a minute to freshen up first?"
BAD EXCUSE BUT OK.
"You both look amazing right now I really don't see the issue." She said as Dad stared directly into my eyes stifling his laughter.
THIS ISN'T FUNNY I NEED TO ESCAPE.
BAKUGO ISN'T READY FOR THE MOM.
AND IM NOT READY FOR HER OPINION.
"Bakugo-" I paused stumbling over my words, "BAKUGO DOESN'T LOOK GOOD IN PICTURES."
...
"Well we can't have that, how about you two go inside and fix that and your dad and I will stay out here." She paused looking at Dad who nodded shooing us off.
"I think your mom hates me." Bakugo grumbled as I slammed the door behind us.
No it's the opposite- she hates me.
"No she doesn't hate you she just has high standards. Now stand still we have to make it look like we did something." I brushed some dirt off of his face.
"I look good in photos."
"I know now shut up." I reached a hand up messing with his hair.
Ping!
TOO MUCH IS HAPPENING AT ONCE.
Unoriginal Hero Name
So what's your plan
Y/N
I DON'T KNOW IM GONNA
PREP HIM. CAN YOU HELP
A minute passed, no response.
FUCK.
"Ok I don't have a plan just don't act to crazy." I frantically explained picking lint off of his shirt.
If he just doesn't talk this will be even better.
"Why the fuck would I be crazy..." he muttered brushing my hand away and walking to the door.
See that's exactly what I'm worried about.
He opened the door and almost immediately was grabbed by my extremely excited mother.
"Honey you take our lovely daughter over there while I have a chat with the young man." She pointed over to a bench before walking away Bakugo in tow.
OH NO.
"You don't have much of a choice now." Dad sighed before walking over to the bench, I watched their receding backs before turning around and plopping down.
Despair is the only thing I can feel.
"Do you think they'll be ok?" I muttered staring down at the marble floor.
"Probably not but we can hope." Dad groaned tilting his head back and looking back at the ceiling.
Wow.
"I mean he's probably going to be really rude or something."
"Probably." He pulled out his phone.
"And once he does that she's gonna get mad and come back and tell me we can never ever ever be together."
I gazed around the empty lobby, everything was peaceful if you ignored everything outside and the overwhelming feeling of death in the pit of my stomach.
"What have you two been talking about?"
OH MY GOD WHEN DID THEY SHOW UP.
I whirled around ready to see a disappointed mother and some furious child. Instead, by some unknown miracle Bakugo looked calm collected and dare I say it refined.
Strange.
I stared at Bakugo squinting my eyes at how blindingly nice he suddenly looked.
This is not normal.
His hair looked fluffy and soft, his normal glare was replaced with a soft caring look, and most importantly he looked warm.
I could hug him right now and he wouldn't even do anything.
IM GONNA GO FOR THE HUG.
I bounced to my feet ready to suffocate him with my love.
He easily sidestepped my affection turning towards Mom to answer a question.
"I agree her quirk is certainly unique." She nodded at his reply looking back at my stunned expression.
Bakugo IS NOT THIS NICE.
"You're lucky honey, your father was not this polite when we first met." She paused throwing a dirty look at Dad "or now for that matter." She 'gently' nudged him in the shin.
"Yeah I guess." WHAT DID BAKUGO DO TO WIN HER OVER IM SO CONFUSED.
I glanced over at him continuing to be a perfect little angel.
This is weird I like it.
I stared at Bakugo for a second two long and Dad awkwardly tugged Mom away. The latter grumbling about it and completely ruining the mood.
Well now that that's over I can at least get my hug.
I leaned closer to him ready to squeeze out every drop of affection.
"Not now." He muttered sidestepping me once again.
You've missed your window the amazing civilized Bakugo is receding.
"CIVILIZED BAKUGO PLEASE COME BACK." I groaned falling back onto the bench.
CIVILIZED BAKUGO OR WE RIOT.
"I was just trying to be normal for your sake."
"SO YOU ADMIT YOU'RE NOT NORMAL."
"OF COURSE IM NOT NORMAL."
"REALLY BECAUSE YOU ACT LIKE ALL THIS IS NORMAL."
"I CANT HELP IT IM JUST FUCKING STRONG."
That's not what I meant.
"You just don't get it." I tossed my head back despair filling every corner of my being.
"I get it I just hate you." He playfully punched my arm as I slid off of the bench.
I'm just a puddle of sadness.
"Y/N stop sulking and get up." He nudged me with his foot the corners of his lips tilted up into a soft smile.
Cute but no.
"I can't I've melted into my own pettiness."
"Yeah whatever your parents are coming back over."
"Noooooooooioio"
"I KNEW YOU TWO WEREN'T THAT BORING."
He reEALLY MEANT THAT THEY WERE COMING OVER.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN MOM WE'RE VERY BORING." I shot up from the floor sitting up so abruptly that I knocked into Bakugo's foot.
Please don't kick me please don't kick me.
He pushed me away with his foot sending my frail fragile soul spiraling away from this dimension.
"See what did I tell you they're just like us!" Mom cheered pulling me off of the ground and back into the world of the living.
"Does that mean that when I grow up I'm going to have a lazy husband?"
THIS SITUATION JUST KEEPS ON GETTING WORSE.
"Honey you're the lazy husband."
Damn your right.
"Wait Mom you were a Bakugo?"
But she's so-
"You know what don't even answer that one I'm leaving." I turned on my heel grabbing Bakugo's hand and pulling him out the door.
