Chapter Nineteen

May in London, it was still cold, but some warmer days were to come.

There was a massive line out front. Some people have been lining up since last night just to get a piece of clothing or accessories. They just want something.

I had to walk in through the back door since it was so chaotic out front. Genevieve and I were working late last night putting everything out into the new section of the shop. The shop was still small, so only so many people at once. But that still didn't stop the amount that run in once we opened the door.

So many at once. They just ran in. Everyone wanted a piece of my line. Well, our line.

"I believe I have never seen my shop so busy." Gen smiled at me. She was just as excited as I was.

We had customer after customer coming in and out. I was even asked to join in some photos and get things signed. I felt like I was a celebrity, even though I wasn't. Or I didn't think I was.

"We love your line." "This is amazing." "Omg, you're Lady Isla?" "Can we get a photo with you?"

These kept on going throughout the day. My smile seemed to be permanently plastered on my face. Genevieve had so much busy through the day, most of her shelves and racks were bare as well.

We had to close the store twice to restock. I swear I thought I wasn't going to have enough stock to late until the end of the week. We closed the shop later than usual since we still had people queuing up.

"Thank you for everything today," Gen smiles shutting the door closed, "I still can't believe how much business just came through today."

"Me neither," I still in some shock, "I can't believe that we almost sold out of everything."

Gen move around behind the counter and started to tidy up a few things. My phone buzzed with Phillips face appearing. I didn't answer it.

"You going to get that?" Gen asks.

"Nope!" And I moved to the racks to start restocking things. I started pulling boxes out from the back and bringing them to the front to stock.

"What's going on between you and Phillip missy?"

"Nothing." I sounded dull.

"Oh come off it. I know somethings up." Gen crosses her arms.

I sighed because she knew she was right.

"He left me, after one stupid mistake. I didn't cheat. I swear it, but then he has the nerve to leave me and tell me he doesn't love me, because my grandmother 'talked' to him about pulling his working visa. I mean, you don't just leave because of a fucking working visa."

Gen looks confused.

"Alright, ima head back alittle. Phillip and I became a thing March, then I was over here for a little longer than expected with the house and grandmother issues. He caught me in a position that I was stopping. Daniel, Amelia's brother was about to kiss me. I moved away and saw Phillip. We got into a fight before he stormed off home.

"He literally left me. Packed up at the house, packed up at the office. Jonathon had to talk sense into him. Since Phillip couldn't honestly leave because Jonathon is on paternity leave and I was coming over here every few weeks. Anyway, shit happened and we argued. He said he didn't love me and pretty much up and left me. I wasn't running away and I wanted to fight, but when you tell someone you don't love them. What can you do?

"Anyway, apparently my grandmother spoke to him about pulling his work ing visa or some shit. He literally left for a freaking piece of paper. How would you feel is Christopher did that to you? Like honestly."

I finished my little rant and became somewhat out of breathe. I looked her and she took a moment.

"Hmm... Umm.." She was thinking. "Does Phillip love you?"

"I don't know anymore." I moved the box and fiddled around with the clothes on the racks. "Like I thought he did, but what he just did makes me feel like I'm not worth fighting for. I thought my grandmother was threatening him with information about me or him. Instead it's just some stupid fucking piece of paper."

"Maybe there's more than he let on." She has a point.

"Yeah, but wouldn't you tell someone more though. I've told him everything about me and there's nothing I'm hiding, nor from my grandmother. She knows everything. So what information could she be withholding from me."

"Maybe she's bluffing or something. She did say she wanted to ruin you."

"She can go to hell. She's ruining my life and I have no clue what I did to her. I literally have known her for all of 5 minutes and she hates me."

"It's Lady Collins, she hates everyone." Gen points out the truth. "Look, for what it's worth. Phillip really loves you, whether his said it or not. He wants to protect you. Even in the most fucked up situations going around. He knows all he would of had to do is marry you instead of having that working visa right?"

"Rights, that's what I said!"

"Wait, Isla, you said that?"

"I did, well I mentioned it."

"Holy mother of fucking God." She looked at me.

"Oh what now Gen?"

"That's why he ran away. He called me up like a month ago and asked his honest opinion of you. I gave him a straight forward answer saying that you were the perfect girl for him. He thanked me and he hung up." She explains.

"I'm still not following you right now. I'm like lost and confuzzled."

"Isla, Phillip wants to marry you!" She squeals.

Phillip wants to marry me. Phillip Perkins wants to marry me.

"Ok, I might need a moment to take that all in." I sit down. My heads spinning.

"Isla, the poor chap is probably shit scared because of your last relationship. He doesn't want to fuck it up. And when you got caught with the other guy, it clicked in him that maybe you didn't love him. He's trying to push you away because he thought he could see his future with you in. He did the exact some thing to me, trust me Isla."

"Ok, hold on. This is messed up. Honestly messed up. Why lie about my grandmother then?"

"Oh, his not lying about your grandmother. He wouldn't lie about getting deported. He's just trying to figure out if you are really worth it."

"Worth it?!" I scoffed. "I am bloody worth it. I didn't run, I didn't hide. I stood there and fought for him, but he gave up and run. He did what I do."

"Maybe teaching a lesson?" She gave up. "Look, Isla, I understand this weird, crazy, messed up situation. But just go with your heart and not with your head. You love the guy and he loves you. Drive in again, forget about everything that has happened to you. Start over and some shit. You guys were together for a short time, so just start over. Which I think is stupid because when you're meant to be, you're meant to be."

She had a point.

Maybe we were meant to be. Even with this toxic weird crazy shit damn I don't know what it is anymore.

I should just go with my heart.

Forget about the past, forgive and forget. Move on from that and maybe start fresh with Phillip...
Or I could wait a little while and see where things go.

~~**~~

May was over and busy with working at the shop in London and then babysitting my little Harry.

Every night I would read him a chapter of Harry Potter. We finished the first book and then I decided to treat him to the movie. We bonded over our mutual love for it.

I also made him his robe and a quidditch costume as well. The first thing Amelia said when she got home was

"You spoiled him way too much!"

Andrew and I just laughed.

June was almost over and my house was complete. Too all my specifications and colour schemes. I was glad it was over. I had finally finished moving the boxes into my new office. I was unpacking books and little pieces to my the room more homey.

Andrew knocked on the office door.

"What's sup?" I asked, putting books on my shelves.

"Amelia and I are wondering if you're cooking dinner tonight here?"

"Dr Stanley, of course I am!" I always teased him about being a doctor.

"Good, also, I need to give you your checkup." He walked in and forced me to sit down. Amelia walked in.

"IS he...?"

"Yes." I finished her sentence. She knew exactly what was happening.

I pulled up my jumper and top slightly to reveal my glass wound scar. He pressed it a little bit to make sure it was healing alright. He checked on my ribs to see how they were healing and then finally checking arm and shoulder movement.

Amelia came over and whispered something in his ear once I was finished getting examined.

He had this look in his eyes and I didn't want to know what was going to be next.

"Please, whatever you do. Do not christen my bedroom before me!" I warned them.

"Can you look after Harry? He is in the play room!" Amelia yelled whilst running out of my office and to find a bedroom.

God, I really didn't want to know what they were doing. And I really hoped they weren't doing what I didn't want to know in my bedroom.

I wondered out to find Harry. He was in a little room off a small corridor. It was my nerd hangout. Room filled with movie memorabilia and props and pop vinyls. I went full geek in the room. Movie posters and all four walls were painted differently. One with Star Wars, one with Harry Potter, another with Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit and the other one with Marvel.

Harry was playing with a Quaffle I had.

"Whatca doing?" I knocked on the door.

"I wanna play quidditch Aunty Island!"

I giggled to myself.

"How about we find some broom sticks and we play around in the back yard?"

"Yay!" He screamed enthusiastically. He started to take the Quaffle out. I quickly grabbed it off him and placed that down.

"We are going to practise with a flat netball I have. Not using these just yet."

We raced outside and started playing with broomsticks between our legs. It wasn't long before he got tired and decided to work on dinner. By the time dinner was ready, the very naughty parents were downstairs famished.

"So, when's your house warming party?" Amelia asked.

"I'm thinking mid July, gives Jonathon two weeks to prepare the twins. He has everything he needs anyway. And gives me time to finish up the guest rooms. I still have to decorate them."

"How about the 11th?" Andrew chimed in after taking a mouthful of pasta.

"Sure, the 11th of July it is!"
