Chapter 1: Why?
Why? What a question. Why? Why do I like the water? Why do I hate my school's cheerleaders? Why do I not want to be popular? Why do I hate school? Why do I hate dry land? Why am I weird?
I can answer all those questions for you. Water makes me happy. My school's cheerleaders are jerks and popular. No popularity, that means I would be a cheerleader. That's a big no. School is stupid and the staff all have fake smiles on. Why am I weird? Well you see, if I wasn't weird then I wouldn't be normal. And that's just plain crazy.

I rushed out the school doors, my backpack flying out behind me. I didn't bother hoping on the bus. I jumped over the front of the bus with my backpack in my lap as I slid over. Shouting came, but I didn't care. I hoped down, swung my backpack back on and ran down the street. I ran through the street as cars screeched to a stop. Others that didn't move, I just jumped over. More yelling and shouting came around. I didn't care, I ran into the woods before the police showed up, again. I ran through the woods quickly and finally saw what I had been waiting for all day. The beach. I already had my swim suit on, so I just slipped my clothes off and dove into the salty, bright blue ocean.
I let the cold sea water dry away all my problems and tears. No matter what happened, I knew in the water I could forget it all and be happy for once.
I splashed around in the water and floated on top of the water.
Then the police showed up.

Hey, tiny author's note at the bottom. I'm not publishing this for a while, but should I do shorter and more chapters or longer and less chapters?
(This is a shorter chapter. Around 200-300 words, longer chapters are about 1,000+ words)
