Prologue

Character Sketch

Aarav Malhotra

He is a reserved and introverted individual who pours his heart and soul into his work. His shyness is evident in his interactions, particularly when faced with flirtatious advances from women, which leave him feeling distinctly uncomfortable and awkward. Deeply rooted in Indian traditions, he maintains a strong commitment to his spiritual practices and worship. His professional life is marked by a close, brotherly relationship with his business partner, highlighting a bond of mutual respect and camaraderie that balances his otherwise reserved nature.

Ahana Kashyap
She is a vibrant, bold, and fiercely independent woman who thrives on the excitement of a fast-paced, party-centric lifestyle. Embracing Western culture with enthusiasm, she finds its dynamic energy irresistible. Her evenings are often spent with her best friend, Virat, at the club, where they enjoy the nightlife together. Despite dating various men, none have met her standards for a lifelong partner. As a model, she commands the spotlight and lives life unapologetically on her own terms, making her own rules and carving out a unique path that reflects her adventurous spirit.

Virat Shergill
He is a charismatic extrovert with a bold, larger-than-life personality who revels in the nightlife, often seen as a party animal. His flirtatious nature adds to his charm, though he's not currently in any serious relationship. As Ahana's best friend, their shared love for excitement and social adventures creates a strong bond between them. However, his late-night habits lead to negligence in his work, resulting in frequent blunders that Aarav has to manage and rectify at the office. Despite his professional shortcomings, his vibrant energy and magnetic personality make him a central figure in his social circle.

Manvi Singhaniya
She is a shy and introverted individual whose life is characterized by a deep appreciation for simplicity and tradition. Her dedication to Indian culture aligns closely with Aarav's, forming the basis of their strong friendship. Both share similar values and a mutual respect for traditional ways of life. When it comes to romance, she is disinterested and feels that relationships and dating are not suited to her, preferring instead to focus on her own sense of tranquility and cultural roots.

Divine Club

At the bustling Divine Club, the loud music set the tone for an energetic night. A girl in her late twenties danced to the beats, her movements confident and lively. As she enjoyed the music, a man approached her and asked, "May I dance with you?"

With a smirk, she replied, "Sure, why not."

They began dancing together, but the man's intentions quickly became clear as he touched her inappropriately. Her eyes narrowed into a deadly glare, and she kicked him sharply below the belt. His face contorted in pain, and he clutched himself, his eyes wide with shock.

She shot a deadly glare at him and kicked him hard below, his eyes popped out in pain with his hands moving down.

"Ahana.. Ne tumhe dance karne ke liye kaha tha samjhe touchy hone ke liye nahi," she said, her voice laced with disdain, before turning on her heel and heading towards the bar counter.

She slid into a seat next to a man in his early thirties, who was laughing heartily at her bold move. Noticing her glare, he tried to stifle his laughter.

"What is so funny?" Ahana asked, a grin playing on her lips.

"Kitna hot banda tere saath flirt kar raha tha aur uss bechare ko kisi layak nahi choda," he replied, struggling to control his amusement.

Ahana sipped her drink and scoffed, "Hot? Kidhar se hot dikhta hai wo.. Jaane kab aayega meri life mein hot banda."

The man rolled his eyes, gesturing around the crowded club. "Dekhle.. Itne saare hot bande hai idhar."

Ahana shot him a skeptical look. "Waise tum kyun nahi dekh lete phir apne liye hot ladki?"

"Are.. mujhe jaisi ladki chahiye wo yahan hai nahi," he said, taking a sip of his drink.

"Don't worry, Virat. Koi na koi toh mil jayegi. Tab tak wo red dress mein ladki hai, usse kaam chalalo," Ahana suggested, pointing toward a girl standing in the corner in a striking red dress.

Virat glanced at the girl but shook his head. "Nahi.. Ye bhi mere matlab ki nahi hai. She is just time pass material type."

He then pointed out another guy in the club. Ahana's face contorted in disgust. "Ew.. Look at his dress sense, joker lag raha hai pura."

Virat and Ahana, both avid party animals, were best friends who enjoyed life to its fullest. A girl then approached Virat, smiling coyly. "Hey, sexyy.... Dance?"

Virat nodded and went to the dance floor with her.

Virat nodded and followed her to the dance floor. Meanwhile, Ahana's phone buzzed. She glanced at the caller ID and grimaced. "Aa gaya iske bore dost ka phone."

She answered the call, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Wo abhi ek ladki ke saath latke jhatke maar raha hai.. Talk to him in office."

On the other end of the line, a man in his early thirties was deep into a presentation, his frustration palpable when Ahana picked up Virat's call.

"God.. iska ye late night parties.. Drinking subah phir office late aata hai humhe sambhalna padta hai sab kuch phir," he muttered to himself, exasperated by Virat's constant antics.

His phone buzzed again, and he answered, the caller's anxiety evident. Assuring her, he said, "Don't worry hum abhi aate hai."

He ended the call, hurriedly left his house, and drove towards an abandoned road. After fifteen minutes, he arrived, parking his car on the roadside and stepping out, searching for someone.

He heard a scream and raced toward the sound. Five minutes later, he found a girl surrounded by a group of aggressive boys.

"Hey.. Stop..," he commanded, his voice firm.

"Kaun hai be tu yahan kaise aaya?" one of the boys asked, startled.

The girl hid behind him, crying out, "Aarav, save me."

Aarav quickly picked up a stone and threw it at the attackers, then grabbed the girl's hand and shouted, "Bhaag!"

They sprinted to the car as the boys chased them. Once they were inside, Aarav drove off, escaping the dangerous situation.

Aarav glanced at her, concern etched on his face. "Itni raat ko tum kar kya rahi thi udhar?"

"Lift li thi humne unse," she replied, lowering her head.

"What?? Aise kisi anjaan se tum lift kaise le sakti ho, Manvi?" he asked, clearly worried.

"Humhe thodi pata tha unka irada kya hai.. And I lost my job, mind blocked tha," she admitted, revealing her predicament.

"Kyun?? Aise kaise job gayi tumhari?" Aarav inquired.

"Har month ek business party hoti hai jahan soft drink ke saath hard drink bhi hoti hai aur tum jaante ho humhe parties, drinking ye sab habits pasand nahi hai.. Hamesha koi bahana kiya hai humne toh nikal diya humhe kehke tum hamari company ke layak nahi ho," she explained.

"I understand. Tum chaho toh hamare office mein kaam kar sakti ho," Aarav offered.

Manvi hesitated. "Tumhare office mein?"

"Haan.. Ab tumhe pata hai, humhe bhi parties wagera ka shauk nahi hai aur I am not going to fire you for this," Aarav assured with a smile.

Manvi's face brightened. "Thank you, Aarav.. Ek tum hi ho jo mujhe samajhte ho aur hamesha rehte ho hamari help ke liye."

Aarav smiled warmly. "Ab tumhe hum nahi samjhenge toh kaun samjhega."

Aarav drove Manvi home and then returned to his own place, reflecting on the night's events.
