I - Nescient
Lovesick
Those petals he coughs are real,
They're red and gentle,
They fall when his love is unrequited,
When he falls for a boy,
Who doesn't love him back.
He's fallen far beyond feelings,
That his love is killing him,
"You haven't been yourself lately," she says,
I know she means well,
But the petals unfurl,
like a never ending ribbon.
"I'm okay." He says,
As petals fall and fall.
Red Camellias,
He wants to confess again,
He wants to hear I love you back.
To stop the pain that surrounds him
With unending petals.
