February 10th- six months prior to start of apocalypse

"A research lab in Indiana that had been researching brain tumors has now experienced devastation. A few hours ago the sound of an explosion filled the air. Dozens of workers were killed in the blast. There is no information about what caused the blast. There were 20 survivors. All of whom were sent to the hospital in serious condition. Updates on them will be given at later dates."

March 22nd- four months prior to start of apocalypse

"Renowned specialist Dr. Kathleen Finch has visited the survivors of the blast in Indiana after being told of unusual symptoms. Soon after her visit, she came out of the hospital in an interview to tell us that she didn't see anything wrong with the patients aside from burns. She made the stop to give her condolences to the families. Dr. Finch also works to cure cancer. She is currently on her way to China and then India with a mission trip."

June 16th-  1 month prior to start of apocalypse

"At an astounding rate across multiple nations, humans are contracting the virus they now call KOMC. KOMC has reached many of the Asian countries and also North America. It now has started showing signs in South America and Europe. Africa and island nations so far seem unaffected by the multiplying problem.

Many experience signs of coughing, sneezing, rashes and headaches. Severer cases have been known to cause vomiting, anemia, and seizures. Causality count remains low, but the CDC and other world leading research centers have been looking for a cure."

July 1st- 18 days prior to start of apocalypse

"People all across the world are scared for their lives. Many of those afflicted with the KOMC virus have turned violent. They have taken on grotesque features and are virtually unstoppable. Law enforcement strongly recommends staying inside as much as possible. Travel in groups and stay alert. Bases for survivors are being created and are moving in many survivors in at a time.

Sadly, these structures aren't saving everyone. Hundreds have lost members of family or friends to this destructive virus."

July 19th- 0 days prior to start of apocalypse

"This will be the last emergency broadcast. I repeat, this will be the last emergency broadcast. Any last survivors not in the camps should head there immediately. In an attempt to somewhat contain the infected, the government has decided to drop explosives on many of the larger cities.
