Perfection

Un-attainable

The carrot on the stick

For the donkey I am

Forever chasing a goal

Which morphs out of reach

Every time it slips through my grasp

The dream of every parent

For the child, a curse

And still the war continues

One battle at a time

Never understanding

It cannot ever end
