Estelle considered her options. Her mother laid out the mess, and she needed to do the damage control.

A cheat of an accountant caught in an audit when the bank found anomalies in the balance sheets, was arrested. That accountant? Her husband. Soon to be ex-husband. She was already in talks with her lawyer. The pre-nuptial agreement had a clause. And as a duped spouse, she was glad it was there. Any illegal activity would nullify the agreement.

Fortunately, the bank traced the money movements, and she was already putting together the press release. Proactive, it would counter the speculation and innuendo of the press these days.

The press would concentrate on the trustworthiness of their medical products, but she knew this had nothing to do with production, merely the profits which should have been brought back into capital funding projects.

The company was Mom's baby, and Estelle felt the betrayal keenly. She trusted her daughter to continue the legacy she built through the first decades of development and production.

Now it was time to deal with the spin necessary to reassure their customers and patients using the invention her mother's brilliant engineering made possible.

This time there would be no fear mongering. No one would need to worry about their medications not getting delivered. Or a hostile take over of their company.

No damn way. Her husband's accomplice was the editor of the biggest business journal in the world and she had the proof. The mud would be on their face this time. Anything to increase their ratings.

No way. No deal. Just exposure.
