For the rest of the day I. Felt. Terrible.
Andrea was the one who broke the news to Poncho that we failed the mission and lost a man. He was of course frustrated, but didn't give us any punishment, which was a surprise for me because I thought we were gonna pay for it: maybe take away some of our equipment, do a bunch of push-ups, get kicked out of the team?
Nope, he just got mad then continued doing what he was like as if nothing bad just happened.
But still, I felt terrible, not because we failed the mission and made Poncho mad for a moment, but because I practically, no, I actually killed my crush. Gosh, never in a million years would I thought I would do that!
But another thought that was in my mind was that déjà vu I experienced during the battle of Alek falling, landing on the jet, then flying off again. I walked into my room in deep thought, my eyebrows furrowing with a frown. When did I see that, when did I see that...? I then halted next to my chair. It seemed surreal, it seemed so surreal... Then it clicked in my mind. A dream. That was in my dream! Oh my goodness, I can dream about the future? That's a supernatural power! I have superpowers? I shrugged, then my mind switched to another closely related topic.
I'm so sorry, Alek! my mind screamed as I sat down at my desk with huge eyes. I lifted up my iPad and swiped the screen to see any notifications I got.
Before I was about to read through them thoroughly, I sensed someone entering my room.
I snapped my head up and to the left, seeing Andrea sashaying into my room. "Oh, um, hi, Hen," I forced out.
"Hey, Katt," she told me in her usual friendly voice.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her as I spun my chair in her moving direction. "I'm just curious."
She sat down on the end edge of my bed. "I'm just wondering how you're doing...after what happened."
I ended up spinning one-hundred eighty degrees to face her. "Eh, I just feel so bad killing off...Russia."
Andrea frowned and nodded her head. "Actually, it was Russia's fault, not your's."
I made a bewildered look. "Really? How?"
"Because he was suppose to come into the jet since his suit was malfunctioning, yet he wanted to fight so he did against my will. If he would've listened to us, then he would be still around. You were doing your job, you have no blame--it's all Russia's fault. He did it to himself." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "Don't feel so bad, okay?"
I nodded my head. "Alright, thanks for the clarification about that." I smiled a bit at her. "But something weird happened."
She leaned away from me with a curious look. "What's that?"
I placed my hands on my lap. "I...I had a déjà vu, but it actually wasn't one: I had dreamt of the same thing that happened to Russia."
"What same thing?"
I gazed up in deep thought. "Him falling...landing on the jet's nose...taking off the the aircrafts...getting caught into an explosion." I landed my eyes on her. "It was all the same, except in a different point of view."
She kept the same expression. "Had this happened before when you dreamed of the future?"
"No! Never! It's weird..." I turned my head to the right, seeing the doorway. I then gasped to see who was standing in the doorway as my heart leapt out from its place.
It was Alek, standing there like as if nothing happened to him. He had his rest suit on like the rest of us; he had his arms crossed with a stern look.
"Russia!" Andrea stood up slowly. "You're alive?"
He shrugged with his eyebrows raised. "Yeah, I got held hostage in an big jet after the explosion, since the zuits are fireproof."
She gradually began walking up to him. "What happened while you were in hostage?" She stopped in front of him with crossed arms.
Alek uncrossed his arms. "Nothing much." He then tilted his head to see me behind Andrea. "Katt, watch where you're aiming." He then turned around and walked off into the hallway.
"He's alive!" I exclaimed once seconds passed by.
Andrea turned around on her heels. "I should've known he was alive! The suits are fireproof! How stupid was I to think of that!" She walked back to me and sat back down on my bed. "Alright, so Russia's alive; no need to feel terrible, Katt!"
I letted out a sigh of relief. "Good."
She brushed her bangs out of her face. "Okay, so where were we?"
"Um..." I thought for a moment. "Talking about my awesome dreaming abilities!"
Andrea pointed at me. "Right!" She then paused. "So what do you think the conclusion of this is?"
I wanted to tell her that I might have powers, but I thought of another way to bring that out. "That I can dream about the future like some other people can?"
She leaned closer to me with her elbows on her thighs. "But you dreamed of a different point of view! This is not a normal thing; I think you have powers."
"Really?" Yes, she admitted it! "Well, there is a power for dreaming about the future: Oneiric Precognition!" I extended my hands out in a showy fashion.
"Wow..." She widened her eyes. "...that sounds really smart."
I shrugged. "'Oneiric' is a term of dreaming and 'precognition' is a term for things that deal with the future, so it's 'dreaming future' practically!"
Andrea nodded her head. "Ah, okay... Do you think you have other powers?"
I made a facial expression indicating that I was in deep thought. "Well, Oneiric Precognition is a sub-power of oneirokinesis A.K.A. Dream Manipulation, so maybe if I have that, then I should have oneirokinesis!"
"What can you do with Dream Manipulation?" She looked pretty lost at what I was saying, but I continued talking.
I was getting hyped up with the topic I was conversing about. "You can do many things like...Alternative Dream Universe, Dream Imprisionment, or Dream Walking!"
"What's 'Dream Walking'?"
"It's when..." A smirked grew on my face. "...one can walk into someone else's dream."
Andrea made a shocked look. "So let's say I was sleeping and dreaming, you can just go into my dream and know what I was dreaming about?"
I smiled largely while nodding my head. "Yup."
"Would I know you're there?"
"Errr..." I gritted my teeth. "...I'm not sure, I think you'll not know I'm there."
A sly look grew on her face. "Do you think you'll be able to do it tonight?"
I gawked at her. "Tonight? Who do you want me to do it on?"
Her facial expression grew more intense. "On Russia. Let's see what he went through in hostage...shall we?"
