"Webpaw, get up!" 

Webpaw opened his eyes and saw an excited look on his sister Juniperpaw's face. At first he didn't know what was so exciting. Then he remembered. Today they were receiving their warrior names. 

"What do you think your warrior name will be, Juniperpaw?" Webpaw asked. 

"Hmm...I'd like my name to be Juniperheart or Juniperclaw. What about you?" she asked. 

"I'd like my name to be Webclaw or Webfoot." Webpaw responded.

 "Well, guess we'll find out soon!" And with that Juniperpaw raced out of the apprentice den, Webpaw following.

  Webpaw looked around the clearing as he sat next to his mentor, Rippletail. 

"Good luck out there Webpaw. I know you'll be a good warrior." his mentor encouraged.

"I'm only trained by the best!" He joked. 

  While Rippletail purred,Webpaw saw the other apprentice,Mellowpaw. Mellowpaw had a mean look on his face, because he wouldn't become a warrior for a few more moons.

Before Webpaw could calm Mellowpaw down, the clan leader, Fishstar, called Juniperpaw forward.

"Juniperpaw from this moment on you'll be known as Juniperpelt. Starclan honors your wits and energy,"Fishstar recited.

 Juniperpelt beamed with confidence. Webpaw wasn't so sure. But he put a brave face on and stepped forward when Fishstar called him.

   "Webpaw,from this moment on you'll be known as Webtoe. Starclan honors your bravery and strength." Webtoe was blushing when the clan called the new warrior's names.

  That night Juniperpelt and Webtoe were on their silent vigil. Webtoe could tell it was hard for his sister to keep quiet. It wasn't that hard for Webtoe, though.

When the dawn patrol came back, Webtoe was sent on the next patrol and Juniperpelt was on a hunting patrol. Webtoe went with Troutfur,Gingersplash,and Stormfoot. Troutfur led the patrol. 

All was going good until they went next to the border with Shadowclan. A patrol came.In it was Snaketail,Barkpaw,Sparrowwing,and Ravenflight leading it.

"Hey, stay of our territory, pesky prey stealers," Ravenflight hissed.

"We never went on your territory, Ravenflight," Stormfoot answered calmly, though Webtoe could see her fur start to rise. The other cats were doing the same. The patrol stepped across the border.

"How do you like it, huh?" hissed Sparrowwing.

 "Well, now they asked for it," Troutfur said, and the patrol leapt on the ShadowClan warriors.

Webfoot saw Ravenflight and clawed him. Ravenflight clawed him back so hard, Webfoot knocked his head on a rock and passed out.
