I woke to the pelting rain. I opened my green eyes, and blinked slowly. I looked across the room to see my friend, Littlefeather. I purred, but then the deputy Thorntalon walked in and I growled quietly. 'That Fox-hearted deputy thinks he's already leader!' I hissed to myself, and stopped growling. "Flamewhisker, I need you to lead a hunting patrol. Take Littlefeather, Hollyfrost, and...Fluffypaw." The Golden-Brown Tom ordered and he stared at Littlefeather. I nodded slowly with a blank expression on my face. I stood and looked around for Hollyfrost as Thorntalon padded away. I sighed with relief and nudged Littlefeather. "Littlefeather. Littlefeather get up." I purred. The white she-cat yawned and looked up at me and smiled sleepily. "An I on patrol?" She wondered put loud. I nodded and stretched and both of us walked out of the Warriors den. "Flamewhisker! Hey Flamewhisker!" A squeal sounded from the apprentices den. I looked over my shoulder to see Fluffypaw, my apprentice, bounding up to us with joy and happiness. I chuckled, "Ready to go?" The two other cats nodded as Hollyfrost limped out of the medicine den. I rolled my eyes."Will you stop getting hirt? You're scaring me." I chuckled again at my sister and we padded out of camp, the brambles tugging at our pelts as we past. I looked around and turned to look at my friends. Feeling a little uneasy, I stopped walking. "Why did we stop walking? Is there a Fox? What's going on? Hello? Flamewhisker?!" Fluffypaw pelted these questions at me. "I feel like there's something out here...Watching us..." I trailed off and spun around. The others nodded while I was turning around. And we headed off again. "Fluffypaw and Hollyfrost, you two go towards sunningrocks. And Littlefeather, you head over to the Riverclan border." I directed them. "You can count on us!" Fluffypaw nodded vigorously and her and Hollyfrost walked away, my eyes closed when they went out of sight. Littlefeather had left without telling me, of course. She can be prettyshy when she's being watched. I open my eyes and jumped into a stump and opened my jaw to sniff the air. I caught a whiff of something. 'odd. It smell like a cat! Which clan?' I wondered to myself and walked towards the scent as it gets stronger. I hear a twig snap and I jump in surprise. With fear I bared my teeth and snarled. I slowly walked to a nearby bush that had the scent all over it. Then out of no where a black puff ball tackles me to forest floor. I yowled in terror, hoping the rest of the patrol would come, but no one came. I closed my eyes and started batting at the cat who had attacked me. Then I slowly opened my eyes to see the cat. I froze with shock and my eyes widened instantly. It was a kit! "Who are you?" I ask the black kit who was trying to hide. "I-I'm P-pinekit. I ran away from my clan." It whimpered and I sheathed my claws. "Which clan was it?" She looked up and answered, "S-Shadowclan. They exiled me because I'm half Windclan." I nodded and without another word I grabbed her scruff and started walking back to camp, forgetting all about my patrol and my duties. When I entered came I saw all the cats stop working and share at the kit. I glared at the ones who hissed and snarled. Littlefeather walked up to me, along with Squirrelstar, Thorntalon, Hollyfrost, and Fluffypaw. "Where did you find this kit?" My leader looked at me, her green eyes sparkled with wonder. "By Shadowclan territory. She says her name is Pinekit and that she was exiled because she's half-clan. Half Windclan that is." I put Pinekit down, and Littlefeather curls around her. "I will adopt her. Besides...I'm carrying Flamewhisker's Kits." She blushed. Hollyfrost squealed and started bouncing like a kit. I purred loudly and curled around Littlefeather. Squirrelstar was in awe. Her dark ginger fur was shaking with excitement like an apprentice at it's warrior ceremony. "That's wonderful!" "Congratulations!" "I'm so happy for you two!" Most cats were happy, and where walking towards us with kind words. But Thorntalon...He was angry! He lashed his tail and dashed out of the camp. I shrugged it off and began to groom Pinekit, who was almost asleep. The sky was growing dark and we had eating most of the Fresh-Kill from the pile. "Sense we are all here, I would like to say some things." Squirrelstar sat on HighRock. "Hollyfrost? Has Fluffypaw passed her assessment, and shown good skills?" She asked. "Yes. Yes She has." My sister smiled and Fluffypaw, being the only apprentice, leaped with joy. "The Fluffypaw, do you promise to uphold the qaffooe code, even at the cost of your life?" "I do." The pale grey she-cat nodded. "Then I give you your warrior name. Fluffypaw, you will be known as Fluffytail. Thunderclan and Starclan honor your kindness, enthusiasm, and swiftness." the clan began to cheer for her, "Fluffytail! Fluffytail!" And It was time to go to bed. I walked Littlefeather and Pinekit to the nursery.

The next day, I heard screeching, and it sounded from the nursery! "Littlefeather!" I gasped and ran as fast as I could to the nursery, only to be blocked by Whisperheart. The Medicine cat apprentice. "She's fine Flamewhisker. She's just kitting." Her words soothed me and I say down. A few moments later, Doveflight walked out of the den. "It's a Tom." She smiled. I sighed with relief and happiness and walked into the nursery. I saw my mate, and my two kits. "What should we name him?" I asked. "I think Flarekit. Because he looks like fire. Like you daddy!" Pinekit purred. Me and Littlefeather nodded. "Flarekit it is."
