Applewoodsmokedkit felt her red pelt being brushed with the breath of her mother, Baconcrispnose. She shuttered as her brother, Thickcutkit, pressed against her. Can't get any sleep here, Applewoodsmokedkit thought miserably as she stood up and walked to the Baconledge where she would soon be apprenticed. She saw a herd of cats running into the camp all of the sudden, bacon plastered to their fur. Applewoodsmokedkit was amazed by this, and even more amazed after they went into the nursery and the other dens, waking up all the cats. Thickcutkit and Baconcrispnose came out of the nursery with Honeysmokedclaw on their tails.
Baconstar leapt onto the highledge, his voice loud as he cried, "Let all cats of BaconClan gather at the Baconledge where we will make the bacon sacrifice!" All the cats of BaconClan gathered around the large amount of raw bacon underneath the Baconledge. "OH STARCLAN! PLEASE ACCEPT OUR HUMBLE OFFERING OF BACON, AND GRANT US PEACE AND PROSPERITY FOREVER!!!!!! LET US SACRIFICE OUR BACON!" cried Baconstar. He looked at Baconburgerface to light the bacon. She took a piece of blackening rock and threw it onto the bacon. Then, she poured the liquid of fire onto the blackening rock. Lastly, she struck the wand of fire and lit the bacon. Flames licked the bacon, burning and sizzling the crispy goodness. If StarClan accepted the bacon, they would put out the fire with their swag, but if they did not accept, the bacon would turn to ash, and all the cats would go to sleep hungry, and Baconstar would have to roll in the bacon ashes and sleep in shame.
      Baconburgerface and Baconstar began to chant their song of sacrifice. Cats joined in later with the song as the designated swag cat, Homesmokedfur, put on the Bands of Ray and the Chain of Swagger and danced in front of the burning bacon. He did the dance of wavy arms, the dance of whip and wave, and finally the signature dance of the bacon sacrifice: the flying bacon butterfly. Quickly, the fire was put out and the designated swag cat stopped dancing, took off the bands of ray and the chain of swagger, and handed out three strips of crispy bacon to each cat. As soon as Applewoodsmokedkit received her bacon, she devoured the brown crips and licked her lips as she followed Baconcrispnose and Thickcutkit into the nursery for a long sleep.
