Deans POV

I pull up in front of Sam's dorm and shut off the engine, I stare at the building trying to figure out a way in. I find a fire escape at the side of the building and start to climb until I find Sam's dorm window, I carefully open the window and climb in and proceed to the fridge to find a beer before I talk to Sam.

As I was rummaging through the fridge I get attacked from behind and pinned to the floor, there he was my little brother "hey Sammy" I say smiling up at him.

He looks down and notices me "Dean? what are you doing here?" he asks.

Suddenly the lights turn on and I hear a females voice "Sam is everything OK?"

we both stand up and turn to see a young blonde standing there in a shorts and t shirt combo featuring the Smurfs, I've got to say she was attractive but I have my Hannah waiting for me.

"Jess this is Dean, Dean this is Jess my girlfriend" Sam introduced us.

"Dean? as in your brother Dean? nice to meet you" she says holding out her hand.

"nice to meet you to, I love the Smurfs" I say awkwardly she heads off to get changed.

"seriously Dean what are you doing here?" Sam asks getting annoyed.

"dads missing" i say looking towards him hoping he will catch on.

"his been missing before he always comes back" Sam says he seems to be getting annoyed at the mention of dad.

"let me rephrase, Dads gone on a hunting trip, and he hasn't been home in a few days".

Sam finally gets it "excuse us for a moment Jess i need to speak with my brother." and with that we were out the door and climbing down the stairs towards the parking lot. "Dean you cant expect me to drop everything, if you remember correctly me and dad didn't exactly leave on good terms."

I just take a deep breath and start to explain a few things "if im being honest me and dad haven't spoken much in the last 4 years, lets just say he wasn't to happy about my lifestyle choices, but then I got this voicemail, give it a listen."

Sam takes the phone from me still looking confused and listens to the message "White noise, what's it saying?"

"as far as I can make out, its saying I can never go home" i say.

"but Dean I've got an interview in a week, for law school I cant just up and leave".

"Please I cant do this without you."

"yes you can."

"But I don't want to, not without you."

Sam takes a deep breath "1 week i will give you 1 week but then i come straight back here and carry on with my life."

I smile from ear to ear "that's the spirit Sammy, road trip".

I get in the car and wait for Sam to join me before we leave for our case.
