Chapter 2: Binding Bodies

I could feel the drips of blood from the guard falling on my shoes. Drip, drip. As I centered my vision from the guards onto Tarek, eyes wide at the two guards.
"Tarek."
Standing behind the wheel chair he looked at me with narrow eyes
"Clear the place. Hide the prey."
They walked off leaving me alone with the bodies. The civilians were roaming around. Moving their lips. Checking their phones ignoring everything that surrounds them.
But the world was racing inside my head. It world looks like a movie pushed on fast forward. Speed walker's, fast talkers nothing looked right.

I whispered under by breath "Think fast, think fast. Got it"

Pushing and shoving each handle, shifting my weight from one side to another.

"Move already."

These bodies on the wheelchair feel like boulders on a wooden cart as I'm looking down I change from my struggling frustration to a dumb realization. A little stick was holding its ground. My quick kick slammed it inside pushing the chairs towards the bathroom became an ease.

Pacing and pacing in circles I keep bleeding out ideas on what to do with the bodies. Must they become ashes and left at sea? Should I just hide them? Where? But the bleeding thoughts kept drying out. None of them were able to boil into the air of ideas. I threw my back against the tiled walls, sent my chin to the ceiling, took a deep breath in, released it with a sigh. Tiny shards of bark drop on to my shoes, something is on the ceiling. I placed my feet on the corpse's thighs. It was a struggle to get some sort of a steady balance. As I got closer I noticed these were not words but microscopic braille. I can feel my arm tense up as I stretched my finger drifting it against each bump.

"Throw."

"Them."

"From."

"The."

The wheelchair hurled into wall evoking a roaring bang. My face smashed against the bright white floor. I knew how long it took for me to arrive here earlier. I'm stuck with 60 seconds on the timer until someone comes inside to check. I snatched the other wheelchair centered it to the last set of braille. I stepped on the corpse, stretching my arm as much as I can, trapping the air in my mouth using every inch I have within me. Come on I need to know where.

"Roof"

Coming down from the wheelchair I went around to the back. I gripped both hands and pushed my feet off the ground rushing it into one of the stalls. Scurrying to the other one I knew I had about 40 seconds left to make my escape. I can't go out like this I need a disguise something that doesn't look like a civilian pushing a guard on a wheelchair. My hands grabbed the bottom of my shirt. I knew what to do.

10 seconds remain. My toes were close to a point where it felt like they were pushing against one another in these dress shoes. Wearing a dead man's uniform felt uneasy but it's only for this moment. It's my only way out. He's in my sun kissed yellow v-neck, paper white shorts, and long black socks. I laid my shoes on his lap there's not enough time to force them on him. My veins were popping out of my hands the harder I squeeze on the handles. Moving one foot forward we were out. Looking back was not an option, the roof is my goal.
