Chapter 14- Choosing mounts
There were flying mountains everywhere, it was so cool, I wish I lived here. Not a worry in the world, plus, here were dragons everywhere. What more would you want? I walk in awe down the largest mountain, wondering if I would find the perfect mount. One that I can rely on if i'm in trouble.
"So, what sort of dragon are you looking for?" Rex asked.
"Hopefully one that can kill you!" I joke. Everyone almost died laughing at that point, and I joined in. Who doesn't laugh at something that funny after all. Rex just pouted his lips.
"How about that one?" He suggested pointing to a magenta colored dragon.
"Not dark enough, I need one that truly shows my dark side" I say in a fussy manner. He looked no further for mine and actually started to look for his. I started to wonder again, all the dragons looked the same except they had different colors. Every single one you could think of. The thing is, I couldn't find one with the color I wanted, out of all the colors the one I wanted doesn't show! I start to climb a hill, it wasn't to steep luckily, as I reached the top I spotted a scale on the ground. I bent down to pick it up and at that point I heard heavy breathing inches away from my face, I look up to see the mother of all dragons staring at me... It was huge, at least 12 feet tall. It was a very dark purple too, just the color I wanted. It's teeth were extremely yellow and razor sharp plus it's claws were about 50cm long. It's eyes were a stunning violet (just like mine) and smoke was always eager to escape it's nostrils. This was it, this was the dragon I was looking for. To make matters even better it was probably the boss too. It's eyes stared into mine and I stared, harder. This suggested to it that I was BOSS! It started swaying side to side and I did so to, in synchronization. It tried to escape on my left side but I was to quick for it. It looked down in surrender and I reached my hand out. It lent forward and it's nose touched the palm of my hand. I felt a strong connection with this beast, we only just met yet I trusted it so much. I stroked it down it's neck and along it's wing, it was breathing surprisingly slow, and very calmly.
