Michael's POV

"It's ok we're here now" the man says softly, stroking a piece of stray hair from the side of Leanne face. "Who are you? How do you know Le..."

"We're her god parents" the woman cuts me off. "We've been searching for her ever since she went missing" the woman sobs standing beside Leanne and we all look at the confused. "Leanne doesn't have any god parents. That's why she had to go live with her aunt" I point out.

"Ryan and Anna would NEVER have allowed that woman near their baby girl!" The man frowns "There was a mix up with the paperwork the day of the accident and Leanne went missing. We've been searching for her ever since"

"So how did you find out she was here?" My mother asks "when she was brought in here it showed on the records as her being a missing person an the police notified us" the woman says then turns to me. "They told us what happend... And what you did to her" she frowns scrunching her face at me. "Non of this was Michael's fault" Joesph steps in. "Oh really? So he just accidentally fucked a 15 year old little girl and kept her hostage for years!?" She snaps at him. "I didn't know how old she was and I never kept her..."

"So that makes all this ok!?" The man cuts me off "You almost killed her!"

"That wasn't my fault. I tried to get her out and.. "

"She shouldn't have been anywhere near that place in the first place! Or any of you people!" The woman snaps then turns back to Leanne.

"And when she's better she'll be coming back home with us where she should have always been and...."

"Your taking her anywhere!?" I snap cutting her off "watch us!"

"You can't just walk in here and say your taking her" Joesph says. "We're her legal guardians until she 18. I think you find we can and we will" the man says.

"She's not going anywhere with you! I don't give fuck what you say or..."

"Haven't you done enough to this poor girl!!!?" The woman yells and I'm about to speak when the doctor walks in.

"Is everything ok?"

"No! Everythings not ok!" I snap "who the fuck let these people in here!?"

"We're her God parents. We have every right to..."

"If your all going to argue then I suggest you take this outside" he cuts the man off.

Kathrine's POV

"Why don't we all just calm down and try and talk and try and work this out" I say calmly as we all walk out of the room. "I have nothing more to say to him" the woman scoffs, looking in Michael's direction.

"Good! Now you can leave!" Michael snaps and walks back into the room with Leanne and closes the door behind him.

"Why don't I get us some coffee and the four of us can talk?" Joesph suggests and the pair nod.

"Not that there's much to talk about" the woman shrugs when Joesph walks away to get the coffee. "Surly you can understand why my son is so upset? You still haven't told us who you are yet"

"We already told you we're her..."

"God parents. Yes you've said that part, but that's all you've said. we still don't even know your names" I cut the woman off. "I'm Kelly and this is my husband Alex. We were best friends with Leanne's parents for years and we're her god parents and as soon as she's well, she's coming home with us. End of story" she shrugs. "Leanne's never mentioned you before" I frown confused. "She was about 12 last time she saw us. She probably doesn't remember us too well. But the point is. That poor girl in there has been put through enough from Mary and by your son and she's coming home with us" she shrugs "Michael isn't to blame for what Mary did to Leanne. Yes he was with her in.... that way, but as soon as he found out he's done everything he can to keep her safe and..."

"And look what a great job he did!?" Alex scoffs. "Michael's been through hell too because of all of this. I'm not saying he's an innocent victim in all of this because he's far from it, but that girl in there means everything to Michael. You can't just take her away like that" I say softly and they don't say anything for a moment.

"He shouldn't have been anywhere near her in the first place" Kelly says "I know that, but he has and she means everything to him. Why don't you go and talk to him and you'll see for yourself just how much..."

"For what?" Alex cuts me off. "So he can make up some more sorry ass excuses for his actions?"

"No. So you can see for yourself, just how much she means to him. He risked his own life to try and save hers. Doesnt that tell you something?" I say softly and neither of them answer me. "Just talk to him" I say and Kelly sighs heavily. "Fine, but nothing he says is going to make a difference"

Michael's POV

"Baby, please wake up" I sob "there's some people here and their trying to take you away me and I need you wake up... please... I can't live without you" I sob, holding her hand tightly and the door opens.

"Why are they still here!?" I frown. "Michael, just calm down. They just want to talk to you"

"I have nothing to say to them. So they can leave now" I frown. "Can you give us a moment?" The woman turns to my mother and the man and they both nod and leave the room.

"We didn't properly introduce ourselves earlier. I'm Kelly and that was my husband, Alex" the woman says softly and I shrug. "Your mother explained everything that's been going on. I'm sorry for reacting the way I did earlier, but surly you can understand after what the police had just told us"

"I never did anything to purposely hurt her" I shake my head and she nods sympathetically. "I'm sure you didn't, it's clear how much Leanne means to you"

"I love her and she loves me. You can't just walk in here and expect me to just walk away and leave her with complete strangers and what makes you think she'd even wanna go with you?"

"We've known Leanne since she was a little girl and we were so close to her parents and they asked us to take care of her if anything should happen to them. Surely you can understand and respect their wishes"

"She's 17 now. Don't you think she deserves a say in all of this? She's been forced to do things she doesn't want to enough already and I'm not gonna let you or anybody else do that to her again" I shake my head and she doesn't say anything for a moment. "I'm sorry, but you don't have a say in this" I open my mouth to speak an a doctor comes in.

"I thought I'd find you in here" he smiles "I need to examin you and change your dressing"

"Now's really not a good time" I shake my head and he looks at me raising an eyebrow "it has to be done"

"Can't we do it in here? I'm not leaving Leanne with her" I frown and he sighs heavily "very well. I'm gonna need you to remove your shirt for me"

I go to take off my shirt and realise Kelly is still standing there. "Don't mind me" she smiles politely, turning towards Leanne. "I'd prefer you left" I mutter, akwardly "i'll wait outside until your done" she nods leaving the room while the doctor examins me.

"Will it go away soon?" I mumble "your wounds are healing nicely and show no signs of infection" he smiles through pursed lips "that's not what I ask you" I say and he sighs sympathetically.

"You sustained alot of third degree burns on your side and back. Some of the colouring will fade over time but..."

"So I'm also gonna look like this?" I cut him off, looking down at the scars. "After what happened, your lucky to even be alive. You should try and concentrate on that" he smiles through pursed lips and I don't say anything, trying not to cry.

After a few more minutes. The doctor finishes up and leaves the room and shortly after, Kelly comes back in.

"Your father had to go home to pick up some stuff and..."

"And now you can leave too!" I snap. "You can yell at me all you want, but me and Alex are staying and when Leanne wakes up..."

"HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT!!!?" I snap cutting her off. "Leanne's not going anywhere and I'm not leaving her with you!"

"You don't have much choice! And after what you've done, your lucky I've even let you stay here as long as you have!"

"What are you talking about!?" I frown confused. "Me and Alex are Leanne's legal gairdians and we say who can and can't be around her not you!!" She yells back. I open my mouth to speak, but I'm cut of when a bunch of alarms start going off and doctors come rushing into the room.

"W-what's going on!!? What's wrong with her!!!?" I panic trying to move past the doctors. "I'm gonna need you to step outside" he says sternly moving me towards the door. "No! I'm not going anywhere until..."

"Michael, you need to let them do their job" my mother says pulling me away and I watch as Leanne is taken from the room and I turn and break down in my mother's arms.

Joesph's POV

"There must be something we can do! They can't just walk in like that and start making decisions about where she lives!" Janet frowns when I explain to the others what's going on.

"I thought Mary was the one that had custody? And she signed those papers to Michael, so they can't just take her" Randy cuts in.

"Well apparently there's was a mix up with some paperwork and Mary was never meant to have custody of Leanne in the first place"

"That's not our fault" Janet says. "No, but if they really are her legal gaurdians then we're not gonna have a choice on where she goes"

"But she's 17 now, not 15. They can't make her go anywhere" she shakes her head. "Which means legally she's still a minor" I point out and sigh heavily "maybe Leanne would want to go with them"

"She wouldn't! She loves Michael and she'd never leave him. Not now" she shakes her head. "Until Leanne wakes up, we don't know anything and if she's known these people all her lives and were close to her parents then she may want to leave with them and even if she doesn't, in the eyes of the law she's still a minor so she may not have a choice"

"So there's nothing we can do about it?" She frowns and I can see she's getting upset at the thought of Leanne leaving. "I'm sorry, but no" I mumble trying not to get upset myself and nobody says anything for a moment.

"Wait! If they haven't seen Leanne in years, then how did they know all that stuff about her and Michael?" Randy cuts in. "I told you already. The police contacted them and said she was at the hostpital and what happened to her"

"But how did they know about her and Michael?"

"Obviously the police must have told them" I shrug. "Are they allowed to go into details?" Janet asks confused "I'm not sure, but they must have. How else would they have known?" I shrug "they found out pretty quickly though" Randy says unconvinced "what do you mean?" I frown confused. "Think about it. Michael hadn't long since come back from the police station when they came to the hostpital"

"What are you talking about? He was back at least an hour before they got there" Jermaine cuts in. "You don't think it's weird that they get a call that their missing God daughter has been found and been told all this information all in the space on an hour?" He says suspiciously. "They probably rushed over once they were told everything" Jermaine cuts it "Why don't we all go over there and see what's going on?" He says and we all agree and get ready to make our way over.

Michael's POV

I'm sitting nervously outside Leanne's room, waiting for a doctor to come and tell me what's going on and Alex walks over and sits beside me.

"Have the doctors been back yet?" He asks softly and I shake my head not speaking. "I'm sure they'll let us know as soon as they can" he says softly. "S-she can't die... she just can't" I stutter and begin sobbing "this is all my fault"

"None of this is your fault" he says softly, putting his arm around me. "Why are you acting all nice to me?" I sniffle confused and he sighs heavily. "I know Kelly and I flipped out at you earlier, but we were just in shock. You can understand that right?" He asks and I nod. "You look exhausted... Why don't you go home and get some rest and i'll call you when there's some news"

"I'm not leaving until I know she's ok" I shake my head "I never meant to hurt her" I croak, shaking my head. "I know" he nods understandably. "And I get it, I really do. Your a young man you have needs just all we all do and you just wanted some fun... but instead you got all this drama" he says and I don't answer him for a moment.

"What was she like?" I ask and he looks at me confused. "Leanne... you've known her and her parents a long time. I was just wondering what she was like before. You know... all this?" I ask curiously. "She was really happy... And she was sweet and kind and her parents loved her so much" he smiles slightly. "It's to bad she never got to say goodbye to them" he sighs. "She wanted to, but Mary wouldn't let her go to the funeral or even tell them where they were buried" I mumble. "We'll take her to see them once she's well again" he smiles. "That's if she every does" I mutter. "I swear I never meant to hurt her. If I'd known what I do now I never would have..." I pause and look at the ground.

"It's not you fault if you didn't know. All you saw was a good looking girl and I can see why you were attracted to her and getting to be her first would only have made it more appealing to you.... Knowing you were gonna be the first man to ever be inside of her" he mutters that last part and I look at him confused. "How did you know...."

I'm cut off when I see one of the doctors coming down the corridor and I rush over to her. "W-what happened? Is- is ok!? Please tell me she's ok. Please I..."

"Breath" she says calmly, cutting me off. "Is she..."

"She's sleeping right now but..."

"She's ok!!?" I gasp in relief and she nods and smiles at me through pursed lips. "There was a few complications, but she's stable now and she's sleeping"

"So we can talk to her now?" Alex cuts in "when she wakes up, but she'll need her rest so try and keep things as calm as possible an one person with her at a time" she smiles.

"Can I see her now? My wife and I haven't...."

"She's sleeping right now, but soon" the doctor smiles and walks away.

"She'll probably be needing some things from home now she's awake. Clothes and stuff?" Alex says and I nod. "Why don't you go and get some rest and get some of her stuff together. I'll call you as soon as she wakes up" he smiles and I shake my head "I wanna be here when she wakes up"

"I'll be back in a moment. I just need to use the rest room" he smiles through pirsed lips and walks away and I nod confused why he felt the need to tell me that.

I sit back down and shortly after the doctor that gave me the most amazing in news I've ever had in my life walks past again.

"Excuse me?" I say getting up and she stops and turns back to me. "I know you said she was resting, but I was wondering if..."

"I'm sorry. I know your excited she's ok now, but We're not supposed to let visitors in while a patient is resting. You can see her soon though" she says softly "what about patients?" I ask and she looks at me confused "I still haven't been check out yet, so technically I'm not a visitor I'm a patient"

"Michael, I'm sorry but..."

"Pleeeease?" I plead with her and she sighs heavily and shakes her head. "If you wake her up..."

"I won't I promise" I shake my head cutting her off and she rolls her eyes and motions me to follow her to Leanne's new room.
