"But-" I didn't let Elise finish her complain. I picked her up and swung her on my back and ran. She wasn't very heavy, but she still slowed me down.

I felt soft fingers running through my hair, with a song on the lips of the same person. Whispering a soft tune, I couldn't make out the words that were being sung, but I liked it. It sounded like something familiar, something safe. I pressed myself closer to the same figure with the singing voice. It sounded like Elise.
