Chapter 80

Going back to school the next day felt all kinds of strange.

It wasn't like I'd never had sex before, but in truth, I'd never had sex with Lexi before, so that changed things.

We were dating, and everyone already had their opinions or theories about our couple. Our friends were noisy and sometimes a little too invested in each other lives.

Would they be able to tell?

The snowstorm had made it feel like time had stop for a little while and Lexi and I were in our own little bubble, but now it was time to go back to our real life.

And our real life meant gossipy friends.

Getting ready to get to school had been painful too, because in a turn of event I had not seen coming, I overslept.

Lexi and I both had forgotten to set up our alarms, so we woke up with barely enough time to get to class without being late.

"See, this is kind of hilarious, because usually I'm the one running around like a headless chicken. This is a beautiful scene unfolding in front of me," Lexi said while getting dressed.

I ignored her teasing and kind of just mumbled to myself, "I don't have time to take a shower."

"You took a shower last night."

"But I take showers in the morning."

"But you didn't do your morning run, so there's no reason for you to take a shower again."

"My ritual is all fucked up."

"I know something else that was fucked."

"Jesus, woman, you can't say that shit to me when we have to be in the car in five minutes if we don't want to be late for class."

"We could skip class entirely. Say we got a very bad cold from playing outside and that we need to stay cooped up together in quarantine. The cold might be infectious. We need to stay safe."

"You know quarantine comes from the French word quarantaine. Which mean forty days. Which was like the period of time you'd spent secluded."

"I absolutely support a forty day sex fest."

"OHMYGOD. Behave."

My girlfriend just cackled at me while I ran around my room getting ready.

Anita gave us breakfast to go and a few minutes later, we were driving to school.

"You know, it's really no big deal if we're late. The roads are disgusting after a snowstorm. I think it's expected for some of us to be late."

"I can't believe I overslept."

I should have known my stress would dissipate after finally being honest with my girlfriend, and working through my issues.

"I really feel like we should have known the way to fix your insomnia would be sex with me," Lexi said with a grin making me laugh. "I think sex with me will really just solve all our problems. I think we should do it a lot more often. World peace my eventually be achieved."

"I don't know about all our problems, but I know that I'm actually glad that if we follow our usual schedule, tonight we should be sleeping in our respective beds, because I don't see how I'd be able to sleep at your house and now repeat yesterday," I admitted, taking my Pumpkin's hand in my own, and kissing the top of it.

"The no fornication rule is gonna be really painful now that you've tasted the forbidden fruit, huh?" Lexi teased me before leaning over and kissing my coat covered shoulder.

I could still feel it though. Through all the layers of clothing, I could still feel it.

"The no fornication rule was already unbearable. So, I'm not gonna be sleeping at your house anymore," I said.

Lexi gapped at me, not smiling anymore. "Hey! Seriously?"

I nodded, my eyes fixed on the road. "Seriously."

I could see my girlfriend pouting, with her arms crossed from the corner of my eye. "Then, my father is a hundred percent gonna know we're fornicating if you actually stop showing up at my house. He's gonna make the connection."

"He already thinks we're having sex."

"But now he's probably gonna be sure of it."

"Please stop looking at me with those eyes. You're distracting the driver!"

"Oh, so there's a no punching the driver rule and now there's a no looking at the driver with love in your eyes rule?"

"Those are in fact lustful eyes and I will not allow this kid of distraction while I am driving a dangerous vehicle."

"A pimp mobile. You're driving a pimp mobile. The lustful eyes are mandatory in a pimp mobile."

"What are you and Josh gonna joke about when I change cars huh?"

"I'm confident we'll find something else to tease you about."

Speaking of Josh, I should probably go see him tonight, since I wasn't going to spend it with Lexi.

At least being with my best friend would distract me from being far from my girlfriend. I'd need all the distraction I could get.

We reached school on time, but getting a parking was a nightmare because the parking lot had barely been cleared.

Once we got out of the car, we could see some people slipping and others painfully navigating around the other cars.

I turned to my girlfriend, slipping my hand in hers and said, "Should I give you another piggy back ride all the way inside the school?"

Lexi shook her head. "No, no, don't tempt the devil. There's enough space in the back of your pimp mobile to make it possible."

I gapped at her. "Pumpkin, you absolutely cannot say shit like this. I'm only human!"

My girlfriend wiggled her eyebrows at me suggestively and started to walk towards school, pulling me along with her. "We could just be late for our first class...

I threw my head back and whined. "Ohmygoooood."

"This is gonna be so fun," my Pumpkin said, in a wicked tone.

"Torturing me?"

"Yes, Torturing you," Lexi replied in a slightly lower voice, pressing a lingering kiss at the edge of my jaw.

"The death of me..." I mumbled.

"Don't worry, I don't plan on killing you. I have very vigorous plans for you in the quite near future."

I couldn't help snorting at her comment, how ever temptingly inappropriate it was. "It's gonna be a very long day."

"I'm very good at making things longer," Lexi immediately shot back.

She was really giving me a run for my money in the innuendo department.

"You've really spent too much time with me." The way Lexi was smirking at me now should be illegal. "What?" I asked, a little worried. A little turned on too.

"I just thought of a reply. But I don't think you're strong enough to hear it."

"What is it?"

Lexi just shook her head. "No, you're too weak."

"I'm not weak."

"It's best I keep it to myself."

"Teeeeell me."

"Nope."

"Pumpkin!"

"Noooot telling."

Well, this was gonna bother me now.

Once we were inside the school, my girlfriend said, "Tyler brought the textbook I forgot at home, so I'm gonna go see him real quick. I'll be right back."

"Alright." I kissed her goodbye, trying to not prolong it too much, but it was hard when I closed my eyes and could still recall so vividly how it felt to make love to her.

Yeah. This was definitely going to be a problem.

And Lexi could see it because once we broke the kiss she just smirked at me, pointing at my face and said, "Whose time is it to behave now?"

I pouted at her, which just made her laugh and then walked away.

A very long day, indeed.

Another week of Blake and Lexi being all lovey dovey. They're definitely fun to write like this, especially when I've given them so much shit over the years. It's nice to give them a break. ;P

Alright. I usually ramble more, but I have a wicked headache now, and I just want to curl up in bed and sleeeeep.
