I'm going to say this unapologetically
Don't let temporary people do permanent damage when they serve a temporary life span.
Put your foot down for once,
Don't tolerate disrespect.
For its best to lose those around you than to be their carpet.
So many persons in life become a victim of their own good heart,
It's good to be kind but you have to be kind to yourself from the start.
Don't allow people to walk over you just because your are "nice"
Don't become a sacrificial lamb,
Leave that role to Christ.
Why should you continue to bask in the validation of others,
When he already paid the ultimate price?
You've been built with bruises,
Built by bruises,
But never for a second think that you are built for bruises!!
God doesn't call the qualified,
He qualifies the called!!
And since that's the case,
Do you think it's a disadvantage if you fall?
He'll be the one to pick you up,
And tend to your scars.
He'll treat your wounds,
After your silent wars.
So in the midst of it all when it's hard to have faith,
Just know there's a God that can open all gates.
