Chapter Thirteen

A/N:

So, I'm kinda bored with this book at the moment, so I kinda have a small case of writers block at the moment. I just can't figure out where to go with it right now... Idk how this chapter will go but hopefully you'll like it.

Chapter Thirteen:

There was knock on the steel door. It clanged through out the room, hurting my ears. Before any if us could answer a short little man walked in. He was probably four feet six, and he was very round. Behind him were three large men, at least as tall as Colin and twice as muscly. Their shirts read 'security'.

I gulped as the little man stepped into the room. "Acelias Green." He squeaked. "You are to come with me immediately to the procedure room."

I glanced at Sophie and Lexi whose faces had paled considerably. I nodded and the little dude turned, walking out of the room. I just stared completely shocked as the little guy and his men walked away.

"Uhh...?" Lexi said.

I just shrugged, staring at the door. After a few minutes the little dude and his men came back to the door. The little one did not look happy.

"I do believe that I told you to come with me." He snarled in his squeaky voice.

I raised my eyebrows. "And I do believe I am paralyzed in my legs." I snarked back at him. "And I don't have my wheelchair."

The man just stared at me flabbergasted. "Y-you're paralyzed?"

I gave him a 'duh' look. "Why else wouldn't I follow you? I have been here two days without seeing anybody other than these two girls. Of course I'd follow you if I could walk or if I had my chair."

The man pressed his lips together clearly peeved. "Brutus, carry her."

Brutus looked at me with pure disgust before walking over and jerking me off my bed. I let out a startled yelp and was just glad he didn't throw me over his shoulder. He cradled me in his arms and glared at the other two smirking guards as we walked out of the room.

The metal door slammed shut; we were in a drab metal hall. I sighed, was anything not metal here? We walked a while turning every so often but the halls were all metal.

Finally we came in front of a set of large metal double doors. There was a key pad next to the doors and the stout man with us walked to it. He typed in numbers. It was six digits, it looked like 629023 but I wasn't positive.

There was a screeching noise and then the doors slid open. Behind them was a high tech lab. In the middle of the room was a chair, like the kind at the dentist, it sat on top of a raised platform. On either side of the chair were small stands, one held a container, the other had a metal arm type thing with a pincher on the end.

In a circle around the platform were a table, control panel looking things and a few chairs. Along the platform was a guard rail with a three foot opening on both ends. We walked towards the center of the room as two men and a woman walked out of a side door.

The woman looked, frankly, evil, with her short black hair and beady eyes. She was skinny and high cheek bones. The man next to her had fraying hair and dull blue eyes. His face had so many wrinkles you couldn't see the bones on his face. He was just a few inches taller than me.

And next to him was Matthew. I stared at him with shock and hurt from Brutus' arms. Matthew cleared his throat. "Welcome, Ace. Today you are going to go through the standard procedure that all of the supernaturals that come here go through. This is Hernando and Marlee. I see you have met Darrel and his men. Brutus, if you could just set her on the chair..." Matthew gestured to the chair behind him.

I continued to glare at Matthew as Brutus walked to the chair until I couldn't see him. Brutus stepped up to the chair and dropped me onto the chair causing me to land on my stomach, almost falling off.

I hauled myself up onto the chair properly and turned over. Matthew walked up to me followed by Hernando, Marlee, and Darrel.

"We will inject you with some chemicals that will hopefully bring out your powers and some other things that you don't need to know about just yet." Marlee smirked. "Then we will draw some blood, don't worry, we won't take much. Just a little. After that we will give you Wolfsbane.

"Please take into caution that this procedure might hurt. We try to avoid it but it seems unavoidable." Marlee stepped up onto the platform and pulled on rubber gloves. "We will also plug in some wires so we can track your heart's activity as well as your brain's."

Marlee pulled some wires out of the metal arm and pressed the two to my forehead and the three above my heart. She then walked to the other side of the chair and opened the box. Out of it she pulled out three syringes filled with blue liquid. She walked up to me and smirked before pressing the first syringe into my neck.

I let out a blood curdling scream. It hurt like hell! She pressed the syringe harder into my skin and pushed out the chemical slowly making the pain worse. When she was done she yanked the syringe out.

Marlee did the same painful process to my right arm and my side. Yes, she had to put the third syringe in my side. It was the most pain I had ever felt an I prayed that I wouldn't have to ever feel that again.

Marlee smirked and turned around, "Acelias is ready."

Matthew nodded and turned to the control panels, flipping some switches. "Put the arm on her."

Marlee nodded and turned to me. "This may hurt." She walked around to the other side of the chair; Marlee pulled down the metal arm. She pressed a button on the side and the pincher things opened. The lady looked crazy when she smiled at me before putting pincher on my forehead.

I wanted to show her I wasn't afraid and so I smirked. "Hmm, funny. That didn't hurt."

Marlee smiled overly sweetly before turning to Hernando. "She's ready." Marlee walked off the platform smirking.

I waited while I heard them flip a few switches and Hernando called out a few things to Matthew I didn't understand. Matthew hollered back before counting down.

"3...2...1...!" I heard a button being pressed. At first nothing happened and snickered. But then there was nothing but pain. Ten times worse than when Marlee stuck the needles in me.

My body writhed but they had strapped me down, I didn't know when but I didn't care. I was just glad that they did so I didn't fall out of the chair.

The pain was the worst in my head, where Marlee put the pincher thing. My heart was racing and I felt sweat pouring down my neck and back. I couldn't open my eyes but I heard Marlee's laughter which pissed me off. How dare she be allowed to laugh?! She should go through this, then maybe she would actually have the right reaction ad pity the person on this damn chair.

Slowly the pain started to subside and I thought the procedure was done. However when I propped myself up and all I saw was red I started to think different. I could vaguely make out the four idiots who have done this to me. They looked worried, confused and to my satisfaction, scared.

I pulled the punchers off my head with ease and plucked the wires off as well. I swung myself around let my legs hang off the side of the chair. To my utter shock and delight I realized I could feel my legs.

"What...?" I pushed myself of the chair and my legs caught me.

However it only lasted for a second and I could no longer feel them. I dropped to the floor and I realized that that was my 'Hulk' power. I never dreamed that it would allow me to stand.

"What the hell?" Matthew screamed. "Get her out of here! Take her back to that room now!!" In all honesty he sounded like a girl going through puberty.

Brutus, the jerk who carried me earlier came over and snatched me up by my right arm, jerking it out of it's socket. I screamed he dropped me. Tears started to fall and Matthew came over.

"What now!" He demanded.

"H-he j-j-jerked m-my arm o-out of t-the socket! B-because he tr-tr-tried to pick m-me up b-by my arm!!" I sobbed.

"Damn it, Matthew!" I heard a familiar voice yell.

I turned towards the voice; anger and relief courses through me leaving me confused.

"Take her to the freaking infirmary, Colin." Matthew snapped.

Colin didn't respond but I felt him scoop me into his arms, gingerly avoiding my now injured one. He walked out of the room and once the doors slammed he pressed his lips to mine urgently.

So obviously somewhere through the chapter I got over my writers block. But how did you like the ending??? Mwahahaha!!! I feel mean for leaving you hanging like that but I thought it was a good way to end the chapter! :P

Ok, I am going to busy over the next week or so. I am on the yearbook committee at my school and I am the best designer on the team, so I have a lot of pages to design.

And I am supposed to be reading Shakespeare and writing a play for my lit class. However I have been putting it off to write chapters for you lovely Daffodils!

Please vote/comment/and follow!

Until next time...

P.S. Although I am kind of addicted to writing this book..........
