I was panting and crying next to Aquafrost's body. She was like family to me. I slowly padded back to RiverClan camp. I was the medicine cat, now. Which meant that I had to take care of my Clan. I saw a russet-colored tom sitting next to the medicine cat den. I walked over. "Yes, Flowingwind? What do you need?" Flowingwind looked at me. "Where is Aquafrost?" he asked. Before I could speak, tears flooded my eyes and Rainstar called a Clan meeting. "Cats of RiverClan, I bring sad news." He looked at me, his eyes asking me if I would like to tell them. I nodded. I padded up the high rock and sat down. Tears welled in my eyes. "A..." Every cat looked at me, hoping for the best. "Aquafrost... is dead." Oceanwave gasped. Flowingwind started crying. Morningstream covered her kits' ears. "This can't be true!" cried the upset Flowingwind. Morningstream's kits, Silverkit, Flowerkit, and Fishkit asked their mother what was going on. They had never truely met Aquafrost. Morningstream said nothing, the sadness overpowering her. 

It passed a few days. Everyone was upset, crying, depressed, the list could go on. Flowingwind had come to me in the medicine cat den two minutes ago, and we were talking. "I- I should have been there," he said. "No, StarClan wanted Aquafrost to come to them," I said calmly. Flowingwind looked at me straight in the eye. "You sound just like Aquafrost." He shook his head. Then his ears perked up. "Let's go somewhere, in the forest, maybe?" I nodded. "Sure." We walked side by side to the forest. "Hey, how about some hunting?" he asked. I nodded. I may be a medicine cat, but that doesn't mean that  I can't do warrior duties! I ran to the river and sat down. I stared at the river, waiting for a fish. "Look, I know you miss Aquafrost. I miss her too." Flowingwind sat down next to me. 

It passed a moon since Flowingwind and I were together. I knew it was against the medicine cat code, but we kept it a secret. I always concentrated on the little kicks in my belly. Kits? Aquafrost would be mad at me. I felt that it was happening today, and I rolled in some mud. I took parsley with me, and I ran carefully to the forest. 

My little kits were finally here! A russet one, a golden one, and silver one. I would name the little russet tom Jupinierkit, the big golden shekit Marigoldkit, and the silver shekit Dewkit. I hoped that they would have a good life, after I was gone. I chose Marigoldkit to be my next apprentice. Her medicine cat name would be... Marigoldpool. Yeah! I like that. 

Marigoldpaw was ready to become a full medicine cat. 

"I, Mistflower, medicine cat of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help she will serve her Clan for many moons."Marigoldpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"Marigoldpaw's answer echoed. "Yes!"It was my turn again. "Then by the powers of I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Marigoldpaw, from this moment you will be known as Marigoldpool. StarClan honors your help, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of RiverClan."

It was time. Time to runaway and never be seen again. My little kits, Jupinierflame, Dewdrop, and Marigoldpool will have to learn without me. I ran far into the forest. Somewhere where only Flowingwind would find me. I stopped, and thought about Aquafrost. This brought a lot of grief to me, and I had closed my eyes I was so depressed. But I didn't know that my plan was working. I was slowly fading away from existence.
