Duskkit's POV

I watched as Ambermoon licked her kits,Starlingkit,a light brown she-kit,Dovekit, a white she-kit with light grey patches and Owlkit, a brown she-kit with a pale ginger/creamy chest,tummy,ear-tips,tail-tip and muzzle.

I left the Nursery so Ambermoon could rest with her kits in peace.I soon saw Larkpaw padding up to me.

Larkpaw and his sisters became apprentices not so long ago.Larkpaw got Bumblestripe as his mentor.Leafpaw got Squirrelflight as her mentor.Honeypaw got Poppyfrost as her mentor.

"Hey Duskkit!"Larkpaw mewed.

"Hi!"I cheerfully squeaked,"What battle-moves can you teach me today?"

"Sorry,today I was learning how to catch squirrels properly."Larkpaw mewed.

I nodded.

"How are Ambermoon's kits?"Larkpaw asked.

"I dunno,good I guess."I mumbled.

"Soon ThunderClan will be taken over by she-cats!"Larkpaw chuckled.

"Is that a bad thing?You'll get to choose a mate from lots of cats!"I squeaked.

Larkpaw chuckled and playfully pushed me."Sttoooppp it,I don't want a mate."

I chuckled and looked at him happily.I hope he changes his mind.

"Sooo...when are you becoming an apprentice?"

"Three moons!"

"Cool!You'll have the nest next to mine if Sparrowkit doesn't take it!"

"Why would Sparrowkit take it?"

"She told me she likes me and she wants to be my mate!"

"Uhhh,she did?"

"Yeah!Pretty akward,right?"

"Yeahh...Do you like her?"

"I don't really know.She is really amazing and stuff but you know,I'm just an apprentice."

I slowly nodded and quietly padded off.I want to be with Larkpaw.I don't want Sparrowkit to like him!Oh please,Larkpaw,don't choose her!

I watched as Sparrowkit began to play with Larkpaw.Sparrowkit will get to be apprenticed one moon before me.

Stormkit then padded up to me."Are you okay?You look sad."

"I'm perfectly fine,Stormkit."

"That's good.Could I sit next to you?"

"Umm,sure.Feel free."

"Thanks,why are you looking at Larkpaw and Sparrowkit?"

"Promise not to tell anycat?"

"Promise."

"Okay,I like Larkpaw but Sparrowkit likes him too."

"Oh,really?"

"Yeah,I wish Larkpaw would choose me."

"I'm sure he will choose you.He would be mouse-brained if he didn't."
