Percy's POV

Dead.

The word rang in my head. The one word that I feared most for all this time. And that one word is what Nico is.

I felt as he stopped breathing in my arms.

I felt his last tears drip down his face and onto me.

I felt the blood from his cuts flow onto me.

I felt his last breath leave his mouth.

I felt the last bit of life leave him forever.

He was just laying in my arms. Closed eyes, hair flowing down over his forehead perfectly. He couldnt be gone. I couldnt accept that. But it was true. No matter how fake I wanted it to be, it was all real.

I brushed the hair out of his face. He looked peaceful. I sobbed on him. I didnt scream or cry or curse the gods. I just silently sobbed on his peaceful body.

I didnt know how long it was until I heard a voice again.

"Ah... Perseus Jackson. The man himself. What an honor to finally meet you."

"Fuck off."

I didnt turn to see who it was. I felt a cold hand on my shoulder.

"Oh dear me... isn't that the Hades kid? Nico or whatever?"

"Go. Away."

The grip tightened on my shoulder.

"I dont like being spoken to so rudely."

"Like I care. Leave me alone."

"Percy. Cant even look to see an old friend?"

I looked up.

"Thats not possible."

"I have been stalking a bit. Sorry."

"You... your supposed to be dead."

"Alas. Here I am."

"Gaea. We put you to sleep!"

"And? I can still talk to you idiot demigods."

"This was your fault. WE WOULD BE HOME IF IT WASNT FOR YOU!" I screamed at her.

Before she could process what was happening, I jumped on her and beat her to the ground.

"SINK BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME YOU BITCH!"

"Fool! You should not have done that."

She flicked her wrist and I flew off. She pinned me against the wall and right before disappearing, she sunk Nico's body into the ground.

"NO! LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

"Im doing a favor. He is already burried so no use in a funeral. Ta ta Jackson."

She vanished. I screamed. I kicked a pipe and used the water the flowed out to go through the dirt and pull him out. At least twenty feet in. Why the hell did she put him so deep? Probably to piss me off.

After five minutes his body surfaced and I cleaned him up. I used the water to heal the cuts. I couldnt have done that sooner. It was already too late. I picked him up in my arms and carried him away from where ever the hell we were.

I got back to camp where I told everyone to meet. I said not to tell Annie though. When I came through the gates, they first ran toward me then stopped when they saw Nico. Hazel was the only one who run up.

"Nico... is he?"

I nodded.

"Oh gods. Oh gods. Nico..."

She started crying. She sunk to her knees and Frank ran up. Everyone walked up with tears in their eyes. I laid him down on the ground with his head in my lap. I cried and my tears fell onto his cheek. Piper screamed and sobbed into Jason. Jason hung his head. Leo just sat on the ground silent. Frank was on the ground with his arms around Hazel. I looked up and saw how damaged my friends were. No one said a word. Chiron walked up.

"Oh dear. Percy ca-"

"SHUT UP!"

I didnt want to yell at him. But I did. He stood there, understanding and walked off.

Then she walked by.

"Oh wow. What happened here? I told you Percy. He was nothing but trouble."

"Shut. The. Fuck. UP!"

I screamed at her and got up. I tried charging at her. It took the three boys to hold me back.

"You better leave right now Annie. Before you get hurt." Jason was always trying to stop violence.

She smirked then walked off. They let go of me and I sunk to my knees. I had my head in my hands and cried again.

I cant think like that. Not now.

I screamed, clutching my head and ran off.

"Percy!" I heard Jason call after me.

I ran into my cabin and out the back door.

"Percy dont you dare!"

I jumped in and swam off. I went to the middle of the lake. I saw Jason flying over me.

"Percy! C'mon man! We can ge-" His voice became muffled as I sunk deep into the lake.

I let myself sink to the bottom. I looked up and saw Jason floating above the water. I made water float up in the air as letters.
Leave me alone.

He sighed and shook his head. I made water splash him in the face. I heard him yell. I watched him leave. I continued my thinking.
Dead.

That one word. That one, stupid word. It would not leave my head.

I felt the water churn around me.
Dead.

The water swirled and shot upward.

I felt the high tide go in land more.
Dead.

High waves erupted from the center.
Dead.

I could've caused a Tsunami if I hadnt seen his face flash before my eyes. His smiling face, bright chocolatey eyes, and rosy cheeks.

I'd left him there. By the gate. With my friends. I heard Jason yelling at me again. I let myself float back up to the surface.

"Percy! Geez. You almost flooded half the camp."

"Sorry. Is he ok?"

"Yeah... Chiron got a...." He said the next word so quiet. But I heard it clear. "coffin..."

I tried not to cry. I rode the waves back to the shore. Some Aphrodite chicks were saoking wet, screaming at me. Jason threw a gust of wind at them, drying the bitches.

I walked up to the big house where they had Nico. I went into the room where he was.
Was.

The coffin was there.

He wasn't.
