As she walked, she noticed a guy about her age and she smiled as they walked, "Hello. How are you?"

He smiled back looking at her, "Goof."

"That's good you're good."

They then went inside and went their own separate ways.

Myte saw the Professor, Alex, her parents and the cashier guy.

"Hello, my name is Professor Cypress." He dressed in really formal clothing. "I am the new Professor in Mitis Town. I'll bet you're Myte."

She nodded smiling as he smiled too.

"Your parents were just telling me about you. You must be very excited to be getting our first Pokémon today."

She nods, "Ya. I am."

"There are a few things you must know about Pokémon first."

Myte listened.

"Pokémon are our friends, and we grow alongside them. They grow, in some cases, evolve and change form, as we battle with them. Your Pokémon will grow to love you as you adventure with them."

Alex beamed, "Oh that's cool, I never knew that before!"

The Professor nodded and continued as he looked at Alex and at Myte too still, "Yes, and there are still many things that we do not know about Pokémon." He turned to Myte. "Myte, I want you now to pick a Pokémon that you would like to accompany you on your adventures. Make a choice from these 18 different breeds."

Myte was excited to choose.

"Go ahead now." He spoke telling her she really can choose.

She looked through the Pokémon realizing how hard it was to choose.
