More For Me
Wrapped up in bed as the rain settles in,
Grey and overcast, the mood stretches thin.
Blankets drew closer as the first drop lands on the glass,
Clouds get darker, more than overcast.
From one to two, three to so much more,
Raindrops fell from the sky with lightning at its core.
The tremble of thunder, made us clench our little feet,
Tucked our heads in the pillows and hid under our sheets.
The bombardment of raindrops against the window panes,
Echos of relaxation, coupled with our warm homely domain.
With the blanket around our shoulders, we indulged into crackers and tea,
Everyone fell asleep so that only means one thing... more for me.
