That's all you need to tell yourself.
With everything going on, it's hard to celebrate the little wins,
But even great distances were traversed by fishes with little fins.
No one will notice the progress you have made,
Not one will stick around for the foundation you have laid.
But when the empire stands so tall for the world to see,
You won't have just one, two or three;
But millions upon millions, celebrating your success.
Pat yourself on the back from now, don't be upset.
Don't be sad that no one stood by you when you were doing the hard work,
You can say you did it all by yourself, now that's a perk.
And for the ones that remained through the thick and the thin,
They'll continue to applaud you with their little fins.
So don't wait for someone to tell you  congratulations,
Tell yourself first!!
Every step of the way until it no longer hurts.
So from me to you, well done!!
