Chapter 3

"So....i'm assuming the language your speaking is Greek correct? Sense this all in Greek time?" Yojiro gave a chuckle, shaking his head. "Oh, Mrs. Kotomine, this is only one singularity out of...the multiple. All those doors you saw on your way through the Gate, they all lead to different singularities." No way, this was crazy, so....there were multiple places that we could possibly go, if there was to be a problem? This Gate works in mysterious ways. "Wow, Mr. Katamito, that's really impressive. So...Prince Hektor of the Trojan war...that is the same man here?" "Why yes it is Mrs. Kotomine, sharp eye you have, so far you've exceeded your transcript. I'm impressed." One, ow...two, thanks I guess? Three, someone said his name...so, I could only assume.

"Well, thanks I guess, you know....someone said his name, so I just kinda assumed from there." Mr. Katamito gave a sigh, patted my head. "There there, it'll get better from here, I promise. I will talk to the Prince about your arm problem, and see what we can figure out." Yay, I may or may not get out of work, not sure it was literally worth an arm and a leg, but you know....maybe so it is? This just shows where my morals are. "Thanks you Mr. Katamito, also, we don't have to be so formal. You can call me Alice." Yojiro nodded, stepping away. "I'll keep that in mind, as for now, you know me as Yojiro. Good day Alice, do rest a bit." Rest a bit, I would love to, but so much was on my mind at the moment.

Footsteps lingered outside my door, it made me uncomfortable. I really couldn't risk getting attacked again, really. The door pushed open, an older man, dulled amber eyes and chocolate brown hair stepped in, he had one of those smug smiles on his face, like he was just waiting for me to say something stupid. I looked him over, dressed in greens and yellows, weird pants and a metal braced right arm. Whoever this was, they probably meant business. "You are...Lieutenant Alice Kotomine correct?" Oh? Greek accent, but he knew English, he was a higher up then. "Yes....that''s me, why are you asking?" I didn't want to come off rude, but this man was making it hard, he'd come in uninvited and was already being smug.

"Heey now, don't be rude, I'm just making sure the scribe is okay, I see you've hurt your arm..." Yeah...I hurt my own arm...good god man. "Yeah...I got attacked on my way here, I was saved by some what I assumed were Trojan men, brought here, got attacked again, now I'm here talking to yet another Trojan, who's rather nosey..." The man kept his smug smile, he pulled a chair over, turning it backwards, then sat down, resting his arms across the back of the chair. That right there, is what I didn't want to happen.  Now that he was comfortable, he wouldn't want to leave, stupid higher ups. "Lookie here soldier from another land, I'm going to be honest with you. You...are in for hell and back. You are very lucky you've been given a simple task such as yours, and now you can't even complete it."

Ah, my writing abilities, iv'e been told all my life I was convincing when I spoke, like they could just reach out and believe, my writing being no different. Some even say I rivaled people like William Shakespeare or Hans Christian Anderson, why? I wasn't sure, but I wasn't one for flattery, so I always shook it off as something unimportant. "Yeah, look, I'm left handed, and I can't even feel my left hand so....what am I to do about that? You higher ups expect the impossible, I can already tell. What do you want me to do, pray to some Greek God and hope that my arm comes back!?" That smug smile was gone, oh, I got him. Check and Mate. "For someone who's extremely disabled, you've got quite a mouth on you...You put that mouth to good work with men too?"

Oh, He asked for it. I forced myself to sit up, taking my right arm and smacking him across the face. As much satisfaction I'd gotten in watching him recoiling, holding his cheek, I paused, the air had changed, even I could feel that. "Prince! How dare you soldier!" Oh boy....did I....just smack the Prince of Troy? This had to be a joke, please? The fellow Trojan who'd walked in ran forward, ready for an attack, I brought my hand to my face, man, I really screwed myself, Kiwi would be super disappointed in me. Nothing came but the sounds of a grunt and a body hitting the ground. I slowly opened my eyes, the brunette pinning the fellow Trojan down, hadn't I just smacked him? I rested on my right arm, leaning over the bed, watching the two carefully.

The prince leaned down close to the Trojans ear, keeping his voice hush, oh, but I heard him. "Don't let me catch you ever charging at my fiance ever again." What? Hey, no, I am a single woman with no life, where did he get fiance from, I did not consent to that! He let the man go, who immediately fled the scene, he then turned back to me, flashing me that smug smile. Oh, he was good, he had me worried there, that was until he drew close to me, grabbing my right hand. "I didn't know you felt that way...aren't you a feisty one." I paled, looking away from him. "I uh....don't know what your talking about, I just smacked your face, and your Prince Hektor!" He gave a nod, holding my hand to his chest. "When a women smacks a man much like you did, its there version of a proposal, by which I humbly accept."

He....did't even know my name...yet here we were, in this awkward situation. How do I tell him that uh, that I smacked him because he offended me? Not because I want to get married. "Look....I'm going to be honest..." He smiled, that was it, the deal breaker, the way that glum looking face lit up, it made my chest flutter. "I....will accept my own proposal....as long as you don't tell anyone, and you keep it under wraps!" He nodded, stepping back. "Yes, I see. I guess sense you know my name, I should know yours." "Alice Kotomine, Alice is quite fine." The prince nodded, scratching the back of his neck. "Perfect, I now that that's been shared, I have to talk to my council about war and such, I will return to you with food of the highest quality." Being spoiled by a prince wasn't on my mental check list, but...did this count as a uh...getting a boyfriend? I honestly didn't know, but seeing the man smile, it pleased me so.

"Thank you, you honestly don't have to spoil me so, anything will work, I promise." He shook his head, heading to the door. "I will do my best to keep you safe from now on, that is my biggest priority now." With that, he was gone, and I was alone. What just happened? Was that even okay? I'm technically married now? Man, was it getting hot in here or was that just me? I wrapped myself up in my blanket, closing my eyes. I just needed to rest, let myself cool down, that was it, I was probably just over thinking this way to much. Just as I was getting nice and rested, my phone went off, buzzing loudly, as though it urgently needed my attention, I reached out, grabbed it, throwing it across the room, whoever it was, it could wait for a little bit, I was a bit busy with sleeping.

I groaned, a soft gloved hand coming over my forehead, I slowly opened my eyes, forest green meeting dull amber. "Hey there sleepy head, I brought you some grapes, I was going to wake you sooner, but decided against it, you just looked so peaceful." Hm, so, I was starting to see it, he would be sweet with me, but nasty with anyone else, from what iv'e seen so far. "Grapes, that sounds great right about now, I happen to like those." He gave a nod, popping one off the stem, holding it out, I went to reach for it but he pulled it away. "I want to feed it to you. It's so you can stay comfortable." Yeah, stay comfortable, that's the excuse that he's using. "Fine fine, if you honestly insist." I laid back down, getting comfortable, to which he gladly popped the grape in my mouth. They tasted so good, much better than our own, probably because of GMO's and other crap that happens to our grapes.

"Do you like them? I had our farmers pick them at there ripest  moments." He honestly was getting adorable, trying way to hard to impress. "There delicious, I was just thinking about how bad our grapes taste back home..." He tilted his head, resting himself on the edge of the bed. "Do explain home to me. What's your favorite thing about home?" My favorite thing about home...was my home Ireland or America? I've lived in both places, and well...I miss both of them. "Well, I was born in Galway Ireland, and I lived there most of my life, so I guess that would be home even though I presently live on a military base in America. What I miss most about Ireland is the weather. The constant rain, it rained all the time, like, non-stop. It was beautiful, with all the colours of greens and blues, it was real spacey there."

"Sounds like you really miss home then." Yeah, I really missed home. Ireland was perfect, with all the weather and colours. The Beauty of the Island was all I needed. "Home is a place to go if you need a place to breath and relax." He nodded along, closing his eyes. "Yeah, you should relax and feel for your family, never betray them in the slightest. Family is something that can never be replaced." He wasn't wrong, you can't replace a family, no matter how many foster homes I went through, it'd never be the same. "You can't replace family, but you can try in my era. That's actually a norm. Being thrown into a new family. Might sound weird and all, but iv'e had my fair share of failures and falls from grace with the whole family thing. As a kid, I was thrown around quite a bit with the whole household thing, so I was put into multiple foster homes, eventually settling with a Japanese couple that loved anime, so they changed my last name, hoping i'd move on from my original family troubles." "Did you?"

"No. I never did, and I never will. My mom was insane. Dad was beating her. She killed him. I had to move away after that, and I haven't seen her sense then, but I will never forget what she did when I screamed at her why." "What....what did she do?" "She looked at me, and asked me who I was. The mother I once new, she was gone. She was insane, gone...she didn't even recognize me or what she had become, so I went away, as did she." The Prince frowned, taking my hand, looking at me. "I...I did't realize this happened to people, Iv'e never really thought about it. You come from such a horrid background, yet you pulled yourself together and became much more than both your parents." "I was tired of people telling me I couldn't be who I wanted to be. I knew I had more in me then being the daughter a pair of people who lost there sanity." "You overcame that, pulling yourself together. If you don't mind me asking, what did your Japanese parents do?"

"One was an author, the other was a soldier. Which is why I guess I took a path such as mine." He nodded, standing up. "Thank you for letting me get to know you better, I have another meeting, but I promise I'll be back once more." I nodded, pulling the blanket back over my body. As much as I hate talking about my past to people, that was comforting, maybe he'll tell me more about him next time, that'd be nice. Once he left the room, I reached out, snagging a few grapes from the table, munching on them. "So good....I gotta bring some of these with me...Yeah...that's a good idea. Maybe then I can grow them on base, I'm a genius..." "You talk to yourself a lot?" I gulped, slowly turning my head, a man with thick black curly hair stood at the doorway, his smug smile wasn't as good as Hektor's. "Yeah...I do, so what about it?"

"Nothing, just makes you sound kinda crazy. So your the one who shot twelve bullets into a Trojan warrior." Oh boy, this man was going to hurt me. "Maybe....what's that to you..." "There's someone who'd like to talk to you, say's hes trained many, but recently, he's seen the dark growing with the Greeks, so he's been seeking out the scribe. You are the scribe?" "Uh...Yeah, that's me...what's that to you?" He seemed rather annoyed now, stepping forward. "You will not disrespect  me like that." He grabbed a fist full of my hair, to which I grabbed his arm, trying my hardest not to cry out. "Sir...let go of me!" He grimaced, letting go of me. "Fine...I'm getting teacher, he's got a mission for you as well. Plus he might have a solution for your leg and arm." My, a solution, like, could he heal it, or could he just you know...speed up the healing process?

Before I could ask, the man was gone like the wind, leaving me with my grapes and my thoughts. What was I in for? I truly didn't know what to expect, this place was all over, not very organized, and that's coming from me. A head peaked in through the door, long dirty blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, he was pretty normal looking, that was until he fully stepped in, he was a Centaur. I couldn't believe my eyes, he was majestic, beautiful brown coat, looking sleek and well cared for. "You are a scribe?" "Yeah...that's me, can I just say, you are beautiful looking. I love your fur!" He chuckled, settling himself next to me, his arms resting on the side of my bed. "Why thank you sweet child, you are in quite a predicament huh? I can help with that as long as you help me afterwards."

If it got me out of this damn bed, i'd be more than happy to help the Centaur, more than happy, he was a centaur for crying out loud! "Sir, I would help you either way. After all, iv'e been itching to get out of this bed so, I'm more than eager to be set free." "Then we stand on a mutual agreement. There is a darkness hatching. My student, he's fallen into her trap, he's invaded, kidnapped, killed, and joined forces with the evil, I did't want this to happen, I need help. Iv'e been told you have a skill with a quill like no other, rivaled with that of a William Shakespeare." God, I love it when people compare me to him, even though I'm sure he could write circles around me. "I mean...sure, I'm willing to help, and help the other singularities as well. I was here for captives." The centaur raised a brow, flicking his tail, he was clearly confused.

"There are no Japanese captives, the only captives are that of other singularities, such as people from London, Ireland, America, Orleans, Fuyuki, Orkeanos, and here, Greece. I'm sure there are others, but I'm unsure of there name."

 "No Japanese captives."
