Backstory: Firefly was born a loner in the plains far from clan territory. She had a sister, Magpie, and her mother. Due to famine and lack of security, the small family decided to travel towards the setting sun in hopes of finding a better land. The plains seemed to go on forever and about a week of traveling later, they came across a small community of loners. They were not a clan, and we're much looser of a group than a tight-knit clan would be. It's just what Firefly's family needed. The group was very kind and laid back and always willing to help. Firefly's mother found a love interest. After a few moons of living in this community, the Clans attacked. The community had settled quite close to the WindClan and ThunderClan borders and were seen as a threat. In this battle, Magpie disappeared. Many were injured. This mostly disbanded the colony, though a few stragglers remained on the territory, including Firefly and her mother. Stricken with grief, her mother refused to leave until they found Magpie. Two moons later, a badger came from its den and attacked Firefly and her mother. Firefly was told to run, so she did. When she eventually crept back from her hiding spot, she came upon her mother bleeding out from a large gash on her chest. Weeks later, Firefly was hunting/daydreaming alone and ended up wandering close to the ThunderClan border. In the distance, she spotted a patrol. Being a thoughtful cat, she watched them until they drew closer. She recognized Magpie with them. Without thinking, she bolted to the startled patrol, calling Magpie's name. Magpie explained that she was now a ThunderClan apprentice called Magpiepaw. Firefly gave her the unfortunate news about their mother and begged her to come back to the plains with her, to which Magpiepaw reluctantly refused. Instead she asked Firefly to join ThunderClan. Knowing she would never be able to fit in, her personality being softspoken and daydreamy, she said no. She now travels the plains, never in search for a home, but rather new places.
