"So how about I ask to go to the bathroom right now, and then you wait three minutes before asking so it doesn't look suspicious." Luke whispered into Ashley's ear, his fingers slowly trailing up the inside of her thigh.
They were in English class and Ashley had been teasing Luke all morning by palming Luke through his jeans before they got out of the car and sending him dirty texts while he was in class. Now Luke had a little problem that needed to be taken care of.
"No, get off of me." Ashley snapped and slapped Luke's hand away, trying to pay attention to what their teacher was saying.
"Ashley, baby, please. I just need a handjob, it'll take, like, two minutes." Luke whined, continuing to trace circles on the insides of Ashley's thighs, which usually drove her crazy.
"Can't you go take care of this yourself? You don't need me." Ashley pushed Luke's hand away, sending him a glare to let him know that if he tried that again he'd be in trouble.
"No, baby, I need you." Luke whispered, leaning forward and resting his head on his desk. "I need your hand wrapped around my - "
Ashley stopped Luke from saying any more by reaching over and smacking him on the back of the head, and luckily no one else in the classroom noticed. Except Michael, of course, he was always paying attention to what Luke and Ashley were doing.
"I will punch you in the balls if you don't shut up." Ashley whispered, not even looking at Luke as she spoke.
"God, I love it when you get rough with me." Luke smirked, sitting up straight again. He moved his chair closer to Ashley's again. He leaned over, making sure that his lips brushed against Ashley's ear as he whispered. "We should do something after school."
"Like what?" Ashley asked, rolling her eyes.
"Like, I'll pin you against the wall and fuck you until you forget your name." Luke whispered back.
Luke normally didn't act like such a horny douchebag. He usually wasn't like this, but Ashley had gotten Luke all worked up and now his brain and his mouth weren't working together and he was just saying anything he wanted, no filter.
"You'd probably fall over if you tried to fuck me against a wall." Ashley said, covering her mouth with her hands to stop anyone else from hearing.
Luke paused for a minute to think about it, and then realized how hard it must be to hold up and girl and fuck her against a wall, and then nodded. "I guess you're right."
"I mean, we can try it - "
"What?" Luke gasped, and this time people in the class did hear him, including his teacher.
"- eventually." Ashley finished in a whisper, slouching down in her chair and trying to hide herself.
"Liam," His teacher started, clearing her throat. "Can you please repeat the question that Mr. Clifford just asked?"
They whole class looked over at Michael, who was leaning back in his seat with a big smirk on his face. Luke hadn't heard what Michael just asked, he actually hadn't heard anything that anyone had said all period.
Luke stayed silent for a moment, thinking over his options. "Who's Liam?" He finally asked, earning a big glare from his teacher.
And that's how Luke got sent back to dean's office so he could spend some quality time with his favorite person, Mr. Walker.
"Hemmings, come in." Mr. Walker said, gesturing for Luke to shut the door behind him.
"Hi Mr. Walker." Luke grumbled, taking a seat in front of the big desk that Mr. Walker was behind.
"So, Liam - "
"It's Luke." He said quickly, cutting Mr. Walker off. "L-U-K-E. It's not Lucas or Liam or Louis or Leroy. It's Luke. Luke Robert Hemmings, that's the name my mom picked out for me."
"Well, okay." Mr. Walker nodded and Luke leaned back in his chair again, proud of himself for finally putting an end to this ridiculous name mixup. "So why are you here, Luke?"
"My English teacher has been calling me Liam since the first day of school and I finally asked who Liam was, since there isn't even a Liam in our class." Luke explained. He hopped that this conversation would focus mostly on Luke talking back to his teacher, not the fact that he was telling his girlfriend that he'd fuck her so hard she'd forget her name.
"So you just decided that right now, in the middle of class, was a good time to talk to her about this?" Mr. Walker questioned.
"Okay, so, she was kind of yelling at me for talking during the lesson but I had a good reason, I really did." Luke said, trying to quickly come up with an excuse.
He decided that telling Mr. Walker what he was talking about wouldn't be that bad, considering Luke told him all about wanting to lose his virginity the last time they talked.
"What's the reason?" Mr. Walker chuckled. He leaned back in his chair and put his feet up on his desk, looking extremely relaxed.
"Well, I, uh, I was talking to my girlfriend?" Luke said nervously, unable to think up a believable lie.
"Whoa, you have a girlfriend now?" Mr. Walker laughed. "Last time we talked you were all awkward and making bets about losing your virginity!"
"Yeah, that still hasn't happened." Luke mumbled, figuring that there was no reason for him to not act so casually around Mr. Walker. It's not like he was an old man, he was probably only a few years older than Luke, straight out of college.
"Sex isn't even that big of a deal." Mr. Walker shrugged.
"That's what everyone says. That's what my girlfriend says." Luke said, emphasizing the word girlfriend.
"You seem very proud about having a girlfriend." Mr. Walker observed. He opened and drawer and pulled out a bag of chips for himself. He offered some to Luke but he just shook his head.
"I honestly didn't think I was ever going to get one, sir." Luke laughed nervously, playing around with the hem of his shirt.
"So how did you?" Mr. Walker asked. Now Luke felt a little weird about this whole thing, he was just waiting to accidentally say "the wrong thing" and have Mr. Walker suspend him for a week again.
"It was a long and complicated process, Mr. Walker." Luke said, chuckling to himself. "I didn't like her at first, I liked my best friend's girlfriend, but then my girlfriend - well she wasn't my girlfriend at the time - started to go out with this guy and I realized that I really like her."
Luke didn't really know why he was telling Mr. Walker all of this, he was sure that he'd end up getting in trouble for something that he said, but once Luke started talking he couldn't stop.
"That sounds like a dumb Hallmark movie." Mr. Walker scoffed, his mouth full of chips.
"Yeah, it got a little cheesy at times." Luke shrugged. "And my other best friend used to date my girlfriend, so that's kind of awkward. They're also next door neighbors."
"That can cause some problems." Mr. Walker nodded. He didn't seem like he was aiming to get Luke into trouble, but Luke still wasn't convinced that this was just a casual conversation.
"Oh, trust me, I know." Luke sighed. "Mr. Walker, am I going to get in trouble?"
"You didn't really do anything." Mr. Walker said, shrugging again. "It'd be kind of pointless to give you a punishment."
"Okay, cool." Luke nodded, feeling a lot better about this now that he knew that he wasn't going to get yelled at for anything. "Can I stay in here for the rest of the period so my English teacher doesn't yell at me?"
"Sure, kid, do whatever you want." Mr. Walker ate some more of his chips and loosened his tie a little, getting comfortable.
Both of them were silent for a few minutes. Mr. Walker ate his chips and Luke took out his phone to check the time, also to check if Ashley had sent him any messages while he was gone. She hadn't.
"Can I ask you something?" Luke asked, clearing his throat.
"Sure." Mr. Walker nodded.
"You've had sex before, right?" Luke questioned, and a look of confusion immediately spread over Mr. Walker's face.
"Where is this going?" Mr. Walker trailed off, setting his feet down on the floor again and scooting his chair further back, even though there was already a big desk separating him and Luke.
"I just want some advice, I guess, and I've tried to talk to my friends about this but they're all my age so I thought that I should maybe talk to an adult about this." Luke said, coughing awkwardly. "And I mean, like, an adult male, not my mom. I'm mad at her right now."
"You don't have a brother that you could talk to about this? A dad?" Mr. Walker questioned.
Luke totally understood why Mr. Walker seemed uncomfortable with what Luke was asking, it was kind of unusual and not something that a teacher and student should be talking about. But Luke trusted Mr. Walker and, like Luke had realized earlier, Mr. Walker wasn't even that much older than him.
"I'm an only child and my dad is a douchebag." Luke shrugged. "I don't really talk to anyone else aside from my three friends and my girlfriend and occasionally my neighbor that really wants to sleep with me."
"Alright, kid, just ask your question." Mr. Walker sighed. He leaned forward and rested his chin on one of his hands, a bored expression on his face.
"Okay, well, I was just wondering if sex is really that great? Because everyone I know has done it before and they say that it's alright, but it's not that special. I feel like it's going to be this amazing thing, but then I fingered my girlfriend and - "
"Whoa, Luke, you don't need to tell me that." Mr. Walker said quickly, holding his hands up as if that was going to stop Luke from saying any more. "You know, the guidance counselor's office is literally right down the hall."
"I like talking to you, Mr. Walker." Luke said, and then continued. "Anyway, I did stuff with my girlfriend and it just didn't feel as great as I thought it would."
Mr. Walker paused for a minute before speaking again. "I honestly think it depends on the person you're doing it with."
"That's what my girlfriend told me." Luke said, rolling his eyes.
"Well, if you're having sex with someone that doesn't really mean anything to you then it just won't feel as good." Mr. Walker shrugged. "I mean, if you're the type of person that likes to have meaningless sex with people that are practically strangers to you then that's cool, but if you really want it to be great then you should do it with someone you really care about."
"How old were you when you did it for the first time?" Luke asked, hoping that Mr. Walker wouldn't get upset about him asking such a personal question. They were on a pretty personal level now, Luke thought that it was okay to ask.
"I don't know, like, 20?" Mr. Walker questioned.
"Shit, why'd you wait for so long?" Luke asked, quickly covering his mouth when he realized that he'd swore.
"I just waited for the right person to come along." Mr. Walker said, only looking slightly uncomfortable now. "I didn't really care about sex, I had other things to worry about."
"How'd you know that it was the right person?" Luke asked. He was very curious about all of this and rethinking a lot of what he'd said over the last few months.
"I just knew... Like, I felt it." Mr. Walker said vaguely, not giving Luke all of the information that he wanted.
"Felt it where?" Luke questioned.
"Not in my penis, if that's what you're trying to ask." Mr. Walker laughed.
"No, no, that's not what I was trying to ask." Luke said quickly, trying to cover up the fact that that was exactly what he was trying to ask.
"Point is, when you're ready for sec you'll know and you don't need to rush this just because everyone else it doing it." Mr. Walker said, looking very proud of himself for giving that advice, and leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up on the desk again.
"Okay." Luke nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."
"I did pretty good, didn't I?" Mr. Walker asked, letting out a small chuckle. "I'm not used to giving advice, usually I just send kids to detention, I never talk to them about sex."
"Well, there's a first time for everything." Luke joked. There really was a first time for everything, like sex.
"Oh, I see what you did there." Mr. Walker laughed, catching on to Luke's joke.
"That was funny, wasn't it?" Luke said, also laughing at himself. Normally no one appreciated the dumb things Luke said, it felt nice to have someone besides himself find Luke funny.
"Yeah, it was." Mr. Walker nodded.
"You know, even though you're a teacher you're pretty cool." Luke aid after they laughed quietly to themselves for another few minutes.
"Thanks, even though I'm not even really a teacher." Mr. Walker shrugged. 'I don't teach anything, most of the time I just sit in here and pretend to be busy so people don't ask me to go make copies for them."
"I still think you're cool." Luke said, giving Mr. Waker a small smile.Luke was about to say something else but then the bell rang, signalling that it was the end of third period.
"You should get going now, kid." Mr. Walker said, sitting up straight again, like he was preparing himself in case someone else walked in the room.
And someone else did walk into the room, but it wasn't a teacher like Luke thought it would be. It was Michael, with a cocky smirk on his face and his backpack hanging off of one of his shoulders.
"Hey, Nick." Michael gave Mr. Walker a wave, adressing him by his first name. "I got in trouble for trying to hit on my English teacher again, should I just head to detention right now? I have lunch this period anyway."
"Sure, Michael, whatever you want." Mr.Walker (or Nick, maybe? Luke didn't think they were on that level quite yet) said, letting out a tired sigh.
Luke slowly got up from his chair and began to make his way towards the door, hoping that maybe Michael wouldn't pay any attention to him and he'd just be able to slip out of the office unnoticed.
"Oh, hey Liam." Michael laughed sarcastically, patting Luke on the back as he walked by.
"Hi Michael." Luke mumbled, looking down at his feet.
"Did you deny everything?" Michael asked, turning his full attention towards Luke.
"No." He said softly, wishing that he could just get away from his annoying friend.
"Did you cry at all?" Michael questioned, then looked at Mr. Walker for a moment. "My friend Liam here is a cryer, Nick, you should see him when he's drunk."
"I'd rather not." Mr. Walker chuckled under his breath, opening up the laptop on his desk and typing something.
"I didn't cry." Luke mumbled again, continuing to look down.
"Good boy." Michal laughed, patting Luke on the back again. "You're not going to make it very far in life if you cry about everything, dude."
"I don't cry about everything." Luke whispered, even though Michael was right. He did cry about a lot of pointless stuff, but at the same time Luke also cried about a lot of important stuff, stuff that mattered to him a lot.
"You two should get to class or detention or whatever now." Mr. Walker said blankly, still staring at his laptop.
"Sir, yes sir." Michael nodded, pretending to salute Mr. Walker.
"Bye, Mr. Walker, it was nice talking to you." Luke said and waved again before leaving the room, Michael following closely behind him.
"I saw your girlfriend talking to that Brandon guy again after class." Michael said, falling into step next to Luke as they walked down the hallway.
"Okay." Luke nodded slowly, trying not to get upset. He was working hard on trusting Ashley, and he knew that in order to do that he had to believe that she wasn't going to cheat on him with some random guy whenever they were apart.
"You aren't worried?" Michael asked, seeming confused.
"Not really." Luke shrugged, ignoring how nervous he suddenly was. He wasn't going to let this bother him, luke trust Ashley and he knew that she wasn't going to do anything with Brandon. She had no reason to.
"If I was dating her I'd be pretty worried about her talking to Brandon." Michael said, carrying on. "I'd actually be pretty worried about her talking to any guy. I mean, have you seen her? She's so hot. And her ass, oh my - "
"I really don't appreciate you talking about my girlfriend like that." Luke said quickly, turning around to face Michael. "You can think about her all you want but it makes me really uncomfortable when you talk about her. You're also acting like the only thing you care about is how hot she is, and I don't think you should talk that way about any girl."
"I swear, you're a robot." Michael scoffed. "Do you and Ashley even do sexual things with each other? i feel like you lie to me about most of it."
"Yes, we do a lot of things with each other!" Luke whined, crossing his arms over his chest. "I was just trying to tell you that the way you treat girls is - "
"What do you and Ashley do?" Michael asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"We-We, I don't know, Michael..." Luke trailed off. The things that he did with Ashley were meant to be private, weren't they? He wasn't supposed to go bragging about what they did together to Michael just so he could prove himself.
"See, you are lying, aren't you? Michael laughed.
"I'm not lying!" Luke groaned, getting fed up with Michael not believing him. suddenly Luke couldn't keep his mouth shut and he blurted out the next sentence without even thinking. "I've fingered her and she gives me handjobs sometimes while we watch movies and she's also give me three blowjobs and we make out all the time and I give her hickeys all over the place so, yes, Michael, Ashley and I do sexual things together!"
Michael nodded to himself, smirking as he walked away. "Interesting."
*•*•*
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Ashley asked, putting her hands on Luke's chest and pushing him away from her.
It was after school and they were back at Ashley's house, both of them laying on her bed. Luke didn't want to go to his own house, he was still mad at his mom for what happened a few days before and didn't want to see her. Luke had practically been living at Ashley's house for the last week.
"Yeah." Luke nodded quickly, rolling off of Ashley and to the other side of the bed.
"Okay, don't get upset." Ashley started and let out a sigh, sitting up on the bed and crossing her legs over each other.
"I'll try not to." Luke said nervously. He had no idea what Ashley wanted to talk to him about, they really hadn't talked at all for the last hour, they'd just been making out.
"Do you know where you're going to college?" Ashley asked quietly.
Luke sat up, not understanding why this was a big deal. Usually they could talk about these things casually, without Ashley worrying about Luke getting upset. "Not really, why?"
"I was just wondering if you've heard back from anywhere yet. I know you always used to talk to Charlie about going somewhere far away" Ashley elaborated, and the nervous feeling in the pit of Luke's returned once again.
"It would be really nice to go somewhere far away, but I don't think that's going to work out." Luke shrugged. He had a bad feeling about where this was going. "My mom doesn't really have the money to send me away right now and I don't want to leave her anyway."
"Okay, I was just wondering." Ashley sighed.
"Why, have you heard back from any of the colleges you applied to?" Luke asked quickly, already kind of knowing the answer to his question.
"No, I haven't." Ashley said softly, reaching over and grabbing one of Luke's hands. She intertwined their fingers, rubbing her thumb over the top of Luke's hand.
"We would stay together if you did happen to go somewhere far away, right?" Luke asked, expecting the worst. "We aren't going to pull and Ashton and Charlie, are we?"
"I'm not really sure, Luke." Ashley said quickly, shaking her head. She saw the look on his face and let out another sigh. "I didn't mean to worry you, I was kind of just thinking out loud."
"Are you going to break up with me?" Luke asked again, nervously tugging on his lipring with his teeth.
"No, Luke." Ashley said quickly, putting an end to Luke's nervousness.
"Good." Luke let out a relieved sigh, reaching out and pulling Ashley towards him. She laid down on the bed next to him again, letting Luke pull her into his chest.
"It's okay, we still have a few more months." Ashley whispered, continuing to play with Luke's fingers.
"Yeah, but I have a bad feeling that the next few months are going to go by really fast." Luke frowned, leaning forward and kissing Ashley on the cheek, working his way down her neck.
"Everything's going to be okay, Luke." Ashley mumbled.
"Do you promise?" Luke whispered, his lips still pressed against Ashley's skin.
"I mean, that's kind of a hard thing to promise." Ashley let out a small laugh, turning around so she was facing Luke.
"Yeah, and sometimes promises are kind of hard to keep..." Luke trailed off, thinking about the many promises he'd made to Ashley where he said that he'd stop drinking. He never kept those.
"Yeah." Ashley nodded.
"I'm sad now." Luke sighed, a big knot still in the pit of his stomach. He didn't like the idea of Ashley possibly leaving him for college, he didn't want to be without her.
"Why?" Ashley asked.
"I just don't want you to leave me." Luke said, wrapping his arms even tighter around Ashley's waist and pulling her closer to him.
"I don't want to leave either." Ashley sighed, running her fingers through Luke's hair. She leaned forward a little more, so their noses were just barely brushing against each other.
"Everyone's leaving me, I don't know what I would do if you left too." Luke mumbled, burying his face in the crook of Ashley's neck.
He knew that Michael and Calum were both leaving for college, and so was Charlie and probably Ashley. Ashton was staying here, and of course that was great, but Luke knew that there were going to be times when he wouldn't want Ashton, he'd want his girlfriend.
"We'll just have to see what happens, Luke." Ashley said softly.
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me." Luke whispered. "I really mean it, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
Ashley didn't say anything back to Luke and for a second he thought that maybe she'd fallen asleep, but Luke knew that she hadn't. He poked her in the side, trying to get her attention again.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Ashley nodded slowly.
"You just weren't talking." Luke said quiet. He didn't mean to sound annoying or clingy, he just got nervous when Ashley started to act like this.
"Yeah, because I figured that you already knew what I was going to say." Ashley said, pulling away from Luke again. She moved over to the other side of the bed and folded her arms across her chest, and Luke didn't bother trying to move closer to her again.
"What were you going to say?" Luke asked. He was clueless, he had no idea what Ashley was talking about.
"Nothing." Ashley sighed, but Luke knew that she was lying.
And instead of pushing Ashley and making her tell him, like what any normal person would, Luke just nodded and folded his arms over his chest as well, staring up at the ceiling.
