"Cherina? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on your way south with Lucien?"

"We were on our way, but-"

"Cherina," the other man warned. "I'll explain-" 

"Who are you?" I interrupted.

"Lucien. I'd rather finish this conversation while we're sitting down, and the chances of you pouncing on me and tearing out my throat are a little less," he said with a familiar twinkle in his eye. 

 Not bothering to hide the exasperated look on my face, I crossed my arms and flopped onto my cot. "You," I said, turning to Cherina, "are in a big heap of trouble".  

A/N I'm Back! I'm really sorry I disappeared for the month of June, and I apologize for the super-short chapter! I plan to update soon though! I am also extending the voting for the characters to July 15. I also want to try something new for the updates. Some people have been doing goals, so i'm going to try that for the next couple of chapters and see how that goes.
