Battle at Helms Deep

"The fortress is taken, it is over" Théoden said sounding defeated. "You said this fortress would never fall while your men defend it.

"Rolik yelled to the king. And I couldn't agree more. Personally, I wanted to shove- "Daeran, help us with this."

I moved, helping the men barricade the door. "So much death, what can man do against reckless hate?"

Théoden asked looking towards where Rolik stood. I pushed over a table moving it to the door. As I helped place it in front of the door I felt a large decrease in my power.

The shield I had put up was falling, my energy going with it.

"Ride out with me" Rolik said "Ride out and meet them. For Rohan"

"Yes, the horn of Helm Hammer hand shall sound in the deep one last time." The men mounted horses ready to run out to meet the enemy head on.

I stayed behind though. I couldn't be distracted by the battle, I had to focus on my magic. I had to give them enough time until Gandalf arrived.

Rolik POV

I mounted my horse as the horn of Rohan was sounded. We raced through the orcs slashing and plowing through them. I easily cut down orcs left and right.

We rode into the thick of battle Legolas and many other brave men beside me. I stabbed an orc then looked to the East. A lone figure stood atop the hill.

"Gandalf" everyone started to notice the figure and moved their attention. Soon a multitude of riders were spotted.

"To the king" They shouted as they ran forward meeting the orcs head on. The light of day shone brightly behind them leading them on like angels. They rushed through the orcs easily cutting them down.

Once every last orc was killed the woman and children were able to make their way out of the tunnels. The wounded were being tended to and the dead were being moved for burial.

"Sauron's ross will be terrible, his retribution swift. The battle for Helm's deep is over. The battle for middle earth is about to begin."

We made our way back into the throne room. Daeran was standing next to Haldir who had gotten his shoulder patched up.

Daeran seemed to be distressed about something. Once Daeran saw us he quickly made his way over to us.

"I have to leave"

Yes, I know this is a Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings crossover and so far, most of it is Lord of the Rings. I will be incorporating more Harry Potter stuff, so please stay with me.
