Daeran POV

"What do you mean you have to leave?" Legolas said I sighed taking his hand and dragging him behind me.

I wanted to talk to him privately. Once we were somewhere more private I pulled out the letter from Ada and handed it to him.

Arwen is sick and Ada has asked me to return home. Nothing seems to be working not even any the most sacred elven healings is working. He hopes I can do something. I must go.

"I'll come with you" Legolas said not even arguing about me going. "You need to speak with Rolik about this, he would want to go."

I hesitated for a second "NO he needs to stay here. He has to be here for them. Don't tell him anything, please" Legolas nodded wrapping his arm around me.

"When are we leaving?" "As soon as we can" Legolas nodded "I'll start getting our things ready"

"Ok, I'm going to go speak to Rolik and Gandalf and I'll grab our horses." With that we parted ways.

"What was all that about?" Rolik asked as I walked towards him.

"I need to see Lord Elrond, it is very important. Legolas will be joining me, we shouldn't be too long." Rolik frowned "I could join you-"

"No Rolik you need to stay here. We won't be gone long." Rolik nodded "Fine" I nodded and made my way out the room.

"Gandalf I'm leaving" I said when I saw him. Gandalf smiled "So I've heard, hope everything goes well." There was a twinkle in his eye, he knew why we were leaving....why do I even bother.

I made my way to the front gates. Legolas was waiting with our bags. We silently mounted our horses and were on our way.

"Come on Legolas we have to hurry." "Daeran everything will be fine" "You don't know that, what if we were being too slow and she didn't make it because we were taking to long.

What if 'hm'" Legolas's lips were on mine. He moved his mouth after a few minutes to my neck.

I gasped for breath since I was not prepared. Legolas kissed my neck and I shuddered. "Everything is going to be ok. We're almost there." I knew he was right, but I still couldn't help but worry.

Once we arrived in Rivendell I jumped off my horse, running to the Halls of Healing.

"Ada are you here?" I said. He was sitting next to a bed at the far back of the room.

"Daeran, thank you for coming we have tried everything." I nodded my head and leaned over Arwen. I could feel my magic react when I touched her. Something magical was affecting her.

"May I work alone ada, maybe you could go speak with Legolas he is accompanying me." Lord Elrond nodded and left the room. Once the door was closed I called upon my magic.

Trying to figure out what was wrong. The moment I touched her skin I felt a presence try to enter my mind. It felt familiar, but I couldn't place it now.

I blocked off my mind from this entity, but the more I fought the stronger it seemed to get.

"Little elf you are no match against me." A voice said. "No, you won't have me and you won't have her." The voice chuckled "Oh you have no idea what I am capable of little elf."

"Leave her, you foul demon. Leave her. LEAVE" I pushed as hard as I could, until I felt the presence become dimmer.

"You won't take her from me, my sister, leave." Suddenly a wave of magic burst through me sending me to the floor.

I could hear the evil laugh as it seemed to drift away in the wind. The door banged open behind me, but I was still in shock to really notice.

"Daeran, What Happened?" Ada said as he and Legolas ran towards me. "I-I don't know, I don't know" "Shhhh, it's ok. Legolas take Daeran to his room"

"No, I'm fine. Besides Arwen is more important. I think I got rid of whatever was holding on to her."

"What do you mean by that?"

"There was a dark force feeding off her energy, that's why nothing was working, but I think it's gone now she should be alright."

"I'll watch her, you are both probably very tired from your journey. Please rest"

"Thank you Ada I'll see you later." Legolas had wrapped an arm around my waist as we made our way to our room. I was still shaky from earlier.

"What's going on Legolas, everything is changing so fast." Legolas kissed my head "I don't know, but we'll figure it out together."

It was a few days before Arwen awoke. Everyone was relieved when she finally opened her eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Arwen sat up slowly with some help "Hungry" there were a few chuckles "We'll get you something. Anything hurt?"

Arwen shook her head. "No, I feel great actually, maybe just a little tired, but I think that's just because I'm hungry."

"Legolas, I think I know the voice that was in my head the other day when I healed Arwen."

"Who?"

"I-I think it was Saruman" Legolas's eyes widened slightly "I don't know how, but I believe it is him" "Have you told the Lord Elrond about this." "Not yet, but I'm going to speak with him later tonight."

.....Later that night.....

I made my way to Ada's study knocking on the door softly. When no answer was given I silently opened the door.

I knew Ada spent most his nights in here and should be back so I decided to wait. I made my way over to his desk, sitting in his chair.

Now I knew why he liked it so much, this chair was heaven. I took in the room even though I had been in here for practically most of my life.

I opened one of the drawers finding books Ada was currently reading. I leafed through some of them briefly before opening another drawer.

I found some papers and a few more book when something caught my eye. I reached down and picked it up and removed my arm and in my hand, I held a wand.

I remember them when Sirius was here, he used a wand. This one was a lot different though, but for some reason so familiar.

"Daeran, what are you doing?"
