"I'm sorry, Jett"

It was a couple of days after the two had shared the wonderous trip to Sage's favorite place. The memory was still fresh in each other's mind but right now, that overrode with Jett's angry yelling.

"I'm done waiting! You told me you would have a plan a week ago, now you come here to tell me Brimstone is pushing the plan to invade Kingdom back another week! I can't go on like this anymore. I'm not joking, Sage. I will leave tonight whether you come with me or not"

Sage instantly stood up and held Jett's face in her palms, "Please, Jett. Listen to me, I know this isn't going how you wanted but please I understand that I don't want you to go alone. You will get yourself killed-"

"Why don't you trust me! I won't get myself killed because Hench knows I'm important. The worst he could do to me is tear off a limb then sew it back..or something. I don't know! I'm over waiting"

Sage chewed on her lower lip, she knew she was going to lose this fight with Jett. She was so stubborn when it came to this subject but she had to convince Jett to stay.

"Jett...I know that this is not going as planned. But, please. Stay one more night. Give me time to convince Brimstone to have the date earlier"

Jett huffed and snatched her face away from Sage's palms and looked down at her feet, "And if he doesn't say yes?"

"Then, we can go. Just me and you, okay?"

Jett's eyes widened, "You're going to go against Brimstone's word?"

"I don't like the idea of doing it, but if it's causing you this much distress. Then we have a good enough reason to just go without his command"

"Am I turning you into a rebel?"

Sage chewed on her lower lip, "Don't make me regret it. And..please, just one more night. Don't leave without me..not again"

Guilt slapped Jett right across the face as she stared at Sage's broken expression. Jett regretted even telling Sage that she was going to leave and bringing unwanted anxiety. She brought her hand over Sage's cheek and urged her to look at her.

Sage sadly looked up at Jett who's face held a reassuring smile.

"I promise, I won't leave tonight"

Sage paced around in Brimstone's room. After considering what she had to say, she proposed her idea to Brimstone by letting her and Jett go on their own but he wasn't very happy about it. In fact, he was furious that Sage would bring up an idea like that.

After continuing to try and convince him, he stormed out of his office. She mentally made a note to apologize to the team for any backlash they receive because she put him in a bad mood.

Sage pressed the palms of her hands onto the desk and gripped it tightly, "Jett isn't going to be happy"

She forced herself to be composed and fixed her hair. She opened the door of Brimstone's office and was surprised to see Jett leaning against the wall near the door.

Jett had a concentrated face written there and Sage walked up to her with a frown, "How long we're you waiting here?"

"I saw Brimstone burst out his office. I take it that the talk with him didn't go so well?"

Sage ran a hand through her hair and clenched her fists, "I don't understand his motive. We have no assignments or tasks in the battle arena this week. We have enough members to initiate a search team for your Radianite"

"Why don't we just go ourselves? Tonight?"

Sage ran a hand over her face and wasn't fond of the idea of going against Brimstone's orders, "Jett, this could cost us our position at Valorant. I hate to say it, but it will probably affect me more than you"

"Then what do we do?"

"I don't want to have to choose between my job and you. I won't make that decision, but maybe if..we sneak out and make it back before Brimstone realizes we're gone. It won't have to cost us our job"

Jett was still surprised that Sage was offering to sneak out. She was grateful that Sage was willing to come alongside her. The more people the better, but if it was only going to be Sage, they had to be careful.

"And..what are you going to do if we get caught?"

"We'll have to face the consequences"

Jett could sense Sage's hesitant response, "Are you sure you're okay with this? I mean...I'm not asking you to come with me-"

"I'm not letting you go alone. You have to be crazy. Being by your side is more important than a job at Valorant"

"But, what if Brimstone takes away your Radianite?"

"Then so be it. We can find our way around together"

"You sound so confident"

Sage knew it was just her mouth talking. She was absolutely terrified of the consequences but sometimes, risks are worth taking. And, Sage was willing to jump off the ledge and take that risk.

"Because...I know we will always make it out one way or the other. As long as you're willing to stay by my side the whole time?"

Jett nodded, "You know I always will"

"Okay, do we have everything?" Sage whispered, hooking her backpack tightly over her shoulders. They made sure to pack a few things in case of worst-case scenarios.

Jett scratched her head and double-checked her backpack to see if she missed anything. After confirming that everything was in place, she offered Sage a thumbs up.

"Yup!"

Sage placed a finger over Jett's lips, "Remember we have to stay quiet if we want to get out without being seen"

Jett nodded against Sage's finger and watched it be retracted. The two made their way out of the Medical Ward and out the nearby exit. Jett had some trouble keeping her footsteps silent, causing her to get constant warnings from Sage. Though, they were able to successfully get out of the main building without any interruptions.

Sage walked alongside through the long hallway that led to the exit outside, "Are you sure you're ready for this? We can always turn back"

Jett shook her head, "We've already come this far. There is no point in turning back now"

Sage stayed silent after asking that. A part of her still regrets disobeying Brimstone's words, but Jett was right. They were already too far in deep with their plan to just throw it away. Sage was still lost in thought by the time they reached the door. Jett opened the door for Sage and waited for her to walk through.

"Sage?"

Sage shook her head and looked at Jett with a weak smile, "Sorry, just a little stuck in my mind at the moment"

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Of course I am. I'm just a bit nervous, but that's really all"

Sage couldn't finish her sentence because she was stopped in her tracks when she saw a figure in the dark. She put an arm in front of Jett and looked at her, "Get behind me"

Jett felt a little discouraged when she was told to stand down, but she did so anyway. Her eyes watched the darker figure approach the two.

"I can't believe you actually are going to do it," Someone said with a familiar thick Japanese accent.

Jett's eyes widened as she pushed past Sage a little, "Yoru?"

"Yep, it's me. I knew you would be sneaking out sometime this week so I waited every day since the day we talked to see if you were going to go through with invading Kingdom. I was starting to think you weren't going to do it..but here you are. With, Sage?"

Sage froze up and stared at Yoru with a stoic expression, "Hello"

Yoru raised an eyebrow at Jett, "You're getting her caught up in your mess?"

"I...I suppose I did" Jett chuckled dryly, rubbing at the nape of her neck sheepishly.

Sage stepped in near them, "I went willingly. I'm not the only one who's been uptight with Brimstone delaying the invade on Kingdom"

"But this could totally jeopardize your career"

"I know..please don't remind me. But I believe it is worth the risk"

Yoru eyed Sage quietly, and Sage grew a bit uncomfortable under his judgmental gaze. He then sighed and dropped his head, "You guys are crazy"

"We know"

"I won't snitch on you guys. I'll try and..stall for you guys, but if you stay out too long..Brimstone is gonna start to get suspicious"

Jett's eyes widened, "You'd do that for us?"

"Well, you're my best friend. I wouldn't do something like that to you"

Jett wanted to grab him into a headlock and hug him tight but she knew that they had limited time, "Yeah, thanks, man. We'll try and get back before morning. If not, I apologize if you get in trouble for stalling Brim"

Yoru ran a hand through his hair, "I still think you're stupid for this but I do admire your bravery. Not a lot of people would barge back into someplace that they've been tortured from"

Jett tried not to think of the night when Hench captured her. She could still slightly remember the feel of her energy-draining and the pain of electricity shooting through her body.

"I just want to feel whole"

Yoru's eyes softened, "I wish you luck"

They stood silently watching Yoru head back into HQ. Sage found Jett and Yoru's relationship very interesting, she noticed how Jett was so carefree around Yoru. She wondered how Jett even met Yoru in the first place.

"Ready to go?" Jett then asked to break the silence between them.

"Let's get this over with"

"Did you manage to put it on them?" Cypher asked

When Yoru made it back to HQ, he instantly went to Cypher's room to give him an update on the situation.

"Yep, I managed to latch the tracking pins on both of their backs. I'm pretty sure they won't notice since they won't be able to feel it"

"Good work, this is only for their own good. It's not like we're stopping them, I just would like to monitor their situation and call for backup if they need it. God, I can't believe how reckless these two are"

"But you got to admit, they've got integrity. I wouldn't even dare to go against Brimstone's words but I'm even more shocked that Sage went along with Jett"

"Jett has a way with her words and I'm sure that Sage cares more about Jett than we think we do. If she's willing to sacrifice her job that she's been dedicated to since the day's she got welcomed to Protocol for Jett. Then that girl is important to her"

"Still, it amazes me.."

Cypher eyed the screen and tinkered with his camera, "It looks like they're almost there. Make sure to be ready to alert the other members in case if things get nasty"

Yoru sat down on Cypher's bed and returned to the game he was playing on his Nintendo before he went to go look for Sage and Jett, "You got it"

"We're going to through the same place I went through to find you. There are only two guards typically there, so we're going to have to do it in secret. Stealth Jett, okay? No making a bunch of noise or else we get caught" Sage informed with a hint of desperation.

Jett nodded, "Got it. Silent and in secret, I can do that!"

Jett cursed under breath and covered her mouth when she realized the volume of her voice. She offered Sage an apologetic grin when she glared at her.

Sage rolled her eyes and signaled towards the next bush they had to go to. They both silently rushed over to the bush and saw the two guards that were talking in front of the main exit.

"Okay, here's the plan-"

Sage's eyes widened when she saw Jett already far in close to the enemies, hiding behind a rock that was blocked by the guard's vision. Sage growled under her breath and was going to put Jett through a talk after this.

Taking down the guards wasn't a big problem, considering Jett's overall strength was fine with or without her abilities. She was able to throw one of the guards down easily and choke them out until they were unconscious.

Sage decided to knife the second guard since she didn't want any gunshots to be heard in their direction and cause them to have unwanted attention which they didn't need to deal with. Sage then sighed and stared at Jett with a disappointed look.

Jett seemed to not have caught the look Sage was giving her because she carried on with going to open the door, only to be stopped by a harsh hand.

"Jett, what did I tell you about staying by my side? We're supposed to be working together, not running off and doing stuff on our own"

"But we took them out together, did we not?"

"Yes, but you ran off to the other side without even telling me. Can't you at least just tell me if you're going to wander off or find better cover?"

Jett frowned, "Oh...I guess you're right. Sorry, I'm not good at communication when it comes to fighting. I haven't worked with a team since that fight on icebox"

"That's right...working with someone must be hard for you. I apologize but please at least try to let me know. I don't want you to run off somewhere and not be able to find you"

"Okay, I'll try"

Turns out that Jett's communication on the battlefield was terrible. They were able to infiltrate into Kingdom's HQ, but the guards were everywhere. Jett had a habit of being too loud and bumping into almost everything. It was pretty much a miracle that they were able to make it past the high security without getting caught.

Now, they were both hiding in the storage room. They were covered in sweat and they were both out of breath for how much running they had to do. HQ's hallways are long but there were many rooms to hide in which made it easy for Jett and Sage to escape. The rooms of Kingdom are probably filled with lifeless and unconscious bodies.

Jett's breathing was starting to get under control as she rested her head on Sage's shoulder, "You ready to go now?"

Sage turned her head to rest it on top of Jett's, "Just..give me a moment. The last time I went through here, there was hardly any security. Probably because they were all outside fighting off the rest of the team from getting in"

Jett played with the sheriff in her hand and smiled, "I still can't believe you went through all that trouble to save me"

"You're worth it"

Jett blushed and brought her hand to Sage's cheek. She gently guided her lips to Sage's and pressed a soft kiss there.

Sage looked at her with a surprised and confused expression, "What was that for?"

"Does there have to be a reason for me to kiss you now?"

"N-No, I suppose not"

"Good, because it was also a good luck kiss for whatever we have to face once we leave this room"

"Together..right?"

"Together"

"I feel like I can sense my Radianite from here. It's as if it was never gone.." Jett commented as they approached the door to Hench's laboratory.

Sage smiled, "That's good. Maybe it's a sign that we're inching closer to it. Something tells me it's in here"

Jett found it hard to restrain themselves as they finally reached the door. Her hand went for the doorknob and looked at Sage to ask if it was okay to open it.

Sage didn't have any objections, "Be careful, okay. Make sure to check every corner"

Jett nodded and slowly twisted the knob. She was a little surprised to see that it was left unlocked. Once the door was opened, the two both parted to each side of the laboratory to check for any guards. To their luck, there were no guards to be seen besides containers, files, and stuff that would be a playground for Viper.

As they looked around for a good 10 minutes, Jett began to lose hope that her Radianite was in this room. But as she approached a specific part of the lab, she noticed the surge in power. It practically made her weak in the knees as she went closer to it. She had to grip onto the table from the overwhelming feeling.

"Jett? Is everything okay" Sage asked while placing her hand on Jett's back.

Jett clenched her jaw and nodded, "Yeah, but the power coming from here is really..really strong. I don't think I can go any closer"

"You have to try, I'm not the one who can touch your Radianite. I don't want to possibly risk getting infused with yours" She explained.

Jett gritted her teeth and nodded. She used the table near her as a support to get closer to whatever was causing the strong source of energy.

She practically dropped to her knees when she saw a piece of Radianite surrounded by a soft wind current that was held in a medium-sized tube.

"There it is" Jett whispered, hesitantly reaching her hand out to touch the glass of the tube.

Sage was relieved to see Jett's usual sparkle in her eyes. She hadn't seen that genuine spark in her since Jett's radianite was taken away.

"I'm going to open the tube and put the Radianite in our keep-safe tube. I don't want to infuse the Radianite in you here, okay?" Sage said.

Jett was too busy observing the power held within the tube to answer. So she simply gave a nod and watched Sage reach in and carefully take the Radianite and put it in a safe place in her bag. As the minutes passed, Jett found it easier to walk around while Sage had a look of worry on her face.

"What's wrong?" Jett asked

Sage bit her lip and looked around, "This feels too easy...It was as if he put your Radianite here on purpose-"

"You're quite right" The deep monotone voice spoke.

The two instantly turned around to see the familiar man dressed in his usual all-black attire. He adjusted the gloves on his hands as he grinned at the look of terror on Jett's face.

"I knew you would come back for me, Jett. That look on your face..it's beautiful" Hench said madly, wiggling his fingers in Jett's direction.

Jett wanted to gag at the way Hench was acting. He was clearly a masochist and the last thing she wanted was to be in his grasp again. Luckily, Sage stepped in and pulled Jett behind her in an instant.

"Leave her alone"

"Oh, I forgot you were here. I thought you would have stayed away after my last warning, though It seems you are a stupid girl"

Sage growled under her breath and her fists clenched.

Jett's face held anger as she stepped in front of Sage now. She was tired of Sage having to protect her and make her look as if she was useless.

"Leave her out of this" She hissed.

Hench smirked, and simply flicked his wrist forward and Sage was within his grasp. His slithery and cold hands wrapped around Sage's neck. Jett's eyes widened as she heard the choking sob and the fear in Sage's eyes.

"I won't you leave this time Jett. It's either you stay here with me and your friend can get another free pass to live. Or, she's dying and you're coming with her" Hench compromised.

Jett's fists clenched, "You're not being fair-"

"Oh, I think I'm being very fair. I'm offering for you to both live, so don't go around saying that I'm not offering a fair trade. It's a simple question, Jett"

Tears streamed down Jett's face as she considered her options. She didn't want to die, but she also didn't want Hench to get away with his actions. Jett suddenly had an idea..maybe if she convinced Hench that she would stay with him, she would let Sage go and that would give her a chance to run and notify Valorant.

Her jaw went slack and her fists unclenched as she stared into Hench's eyes, "I'll stay with you, but you need to let her go"

Hench's smile turned into a creepy wide grin, "Is that a promise"

"I promise" Jett gulped, suddenly starting to regret making that decision because the moment she did, Hench flicked his wrist again and metal handcuffs were on Jett's wrist within a second.

The sound of muffled gasps came from Sage as Hench finally released her from his hold. Sage wheezed as she clawed at her throat to feel if the hands were still there.

"Jett!" Sage shrieked as she saw Jett being tugged harshly near a metal post then handcuffed tightly so that there was no way of escape.

Hench growled under his breath and turned back to look at Sage, "You're lucky you're still alive. Now, to hold up my end of the deal-"

That was the last thing Sage heard before she felt herself being thrown into the air, then be slammed into the wall and see nothing but darkness.

"They're in trouble. They've been separated, call for Brimstone" Cypher said hastily, getting up from his seat and running down the hall to call an emergency meeting.

Yoru felt his heart pick up speed as he watched Cypher run down the hallway. He angrily ran a hand through his hair and ran to Brimstone's office.

"God damn it, Jett. You're such an idiot when you get back...I'm totally slapping you across the face"

When Sage awoke, she didn't know where she was at first. But reality finally came back to her when she realized that she was back outside Kingdom's HQ. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, instantly jumping up when she realized she was thrown into a mud pile.

She grimaced at the sight of brown's muck seeping into her robes. But that was the least of her concerns since her anxiety began to spike when she realized Jett wasn't with her. Her breathing became harsh as she sprinted back to the exit of where they both entered.

She went to twist the doorknob but it was locked. Her eyes widened in horror as her fists slammed against the metal door. This was the only entrance she had besides the main entry, and she knew if she went there..she would die. Tears of frustration covered her face as she continued to weakly punch at the door.

"Jett...Why...Why can we never be together? Why do you always find some reason to leave me. " She whimpered her frustrations out to the world as she slumped against the door. She knew she was being selfish by blaming Jett, but all she wanted was to be by Jett's side. Now the plan has taken a total turn and now they're back on different sides of the world.

"Get up" Someone suddenly said.

Sage instantly looked up and was completely taken back to see Reyna standing in front of her with a disheartened expression.

"Renya? What are you doing here?"

"There was an emergency meeting back at HQ, they sent me and two others to find you and Jett, and bring you two back"

"B-But, Jett is still inside. This door is locked and there are way too many guards. More than there was last time, it'll take all of our strength to hold them off!"

Reyna smirked and pulled Sage on her feet.

"I know, that's why we're going in with style"

"What..?"

Raze instantly came from behind Reyna and yelled, "We're gonna blow this place up!"

Jett wheezed as the last blow to her face almost made her want to vomit from the pain. Hench's foot was shoved into her face and pounding her into the ground like it was nothing.

"You worthless piece of crap. I can't believe you would choose Valorant over me. It saddens me that you are willing to go the lengths of infiltrating my laboratory and stealing something that I gave you from the kindness of my heart"

Jett was too weak to give a response, simply looking down at the ground and weakly trying to move her hands to ease the strain from the tight handcuffs.

"It sickens me!" He chanted over and over.

This time Jett was ready for Hench's foot to slam against her. When she saw the foot approaching her face, she moved her head at the last second. She took that chance to open her mouth and latch onto Hench's shin. The angered scream of agony came from Hench's mouth and she bit down harshly.

The sound of a bone-cracking hardly phased Jett as she continued to bite down harder. But she knew she could only hang on for so long until she felt Hench's other foot kick Jett right in the back of her head.

"You- bitch! Do you understand what you're doing? I could kill you right here for that" He yelled, tripping backward when he attempted to walk on his injured leg.

Jett spat when she tasted blood on her tongue, "Yeah, but you wouldn't do it"

Hench stared at Jett with disbelief then replaced it with a look of insanity, "That's right. I'm going to keep you here every day, and torture you until you are mine again"

He knew the words were taking effect on Jett when he saw the shiver go through the length of her body. And the way her jaw clenched and her eyes squeezing tight made Hench want to squeal from happiness.

"You can sit here and think about the stupid decisions you've made. I have to clean up the mess you made on my leg" Hench stated calmly, before hobbling out of the room and shutting the door tight.

When she heard Hench leave, she took that opportunity to let go of any emotions she was holding back on. Tears flooded down her face which managed to drip onto the floor and create a small puddle of her emotions.

"Please..hurry up, Sage"

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Sage asked concerned, "It won't hurt, Jett in any way..right?"

"Don't worry, my bombs can detect who is my teammate and who isn't. So even if the explosion does hit Jett, she won't feel a thing" Raze assured.

Reyna, Sage, and Raze were all huddled around the laboratory from the outside. Cypher was confident that the place they were bombing would create an easy entry to the laboratory and getting Jett would be simple.

Raze continued to glue several bombs to the wall and inspected them to make sure they all had the correct gunpowder. After double-checking, she rubbed her hands together to wipe off any residue or dust.

"Alright, I think we're ready"

Sage still seemed uneasy about the whole 'blowing up' idea, but she knew it was the quickest way. So, she decided to keep quiet and watch Raze work her magic.

Reyna and Sage both looked at each other as Raze pulled out a match and looked over her shoulder to get confirmation. They both nodded, though Sage was a bit more hesitant. Her heart picked up speed when she saw Raze touch the lit match to the rope that would ignite the bombs.

They all scurried away quickly, and even though they wouldn't get hurt from it, the impact would definitely not be fun to experience.

Sage held her breath and covered her ears when she saw the flames inch closer and closer to Raze's pit of bombs. Eventually, the loud boom made them all flinch. Sage was the first to peak her head to see if any hole in the wall was made. She was surprised when she saw the whole wall practically open.

"There's our opening, let's not waste any time"

"You really have a grip with your mouth, Jett" Hench laughed, sitting down in his chair.

Jett practically had a dead expression on her face. All the crying she did while Hench was cleaning his wound made her feel emotionless and tired. At that moment, all she wanted was to fall asleep and never wake up. It would probably be for the better anyway.

Hench crossed his legs and found Jett's lack of response aggravating, "Why don't you tell me why you decided to join Valorant. I thought you believed in Kingdom's motives"

Jett closed her eyes and wanted to block out any sound that was being made. But her eye's flew open when she felt a hand on her back, "Answer me"

She knew she was ticking off Hench and the more she didn't answer, the angrier he was going to get. She simply shrugged and went to close her eyes again but flinched back when she saw a hand forming into a fist.

He was going to hit her again.

Jett knew she couldn't dodge this one, so she accepted her fate. Her chance of surviving another series of blows to the face was slim. But just as she was about to close her eyes and prepare herself for the hit, the sound of an explosion made her ears ring.

Hench dropped his hand at his side, "An explosion?"

He quickly ran around to the other side of his lab to grab his gun that he only used in unexpected moments like these. He made sure to unlock Jett's restraints and pulled her limp body against his.

He wasn't going to let these people take Jett from him again.

"Show yourself, Hench!" Reyna yelled, throwing down her blinding eye to allow Raze and Sage to push in.

Jett wiggled in Hench's grasp when she saw Sage look around the room for her, "Sage!"

The three women stared in the direction of the noise, and Hench cursed under his breath due to his location being revealed.

"Hello, ladies"

They all glared at him and pointed their weapons at him, "Give it up, it's over"

Hench laughed melancholy and ran a hand through his slick hair, "I think you underestimate me because it's 3 against 1"

Reyna was getting tired of all the talking going on and decided to pull the trigger. Her tongue clicked when she saw Hench raise his hand and force the bullets to a stop. Sage and Raze both took that opportunity to shoot their guns but it was no use. Hench's ability to stop the bullets was insanely overpowered and impossible to go against.

Suddenly, Reyna had an idea. She signaled Raze and Sage to continue shooting even though they both had confused looks on their faces. Why would Reyna make them shoot at an impossible target.

Raze decided to comply and shoot at Hench, and Sage followed in suit. Reyna then turned around and pressed her two fingers to the earpiece in her ear.

"Cypher, we need help"

"What is it? Did the plan go wrong?"

"Yes and no. We know where Jett is but I need you to use your sniper. Don't shoot at his head, shoot at the core of his arm. His arm is what makes him powerful, and as long as he has it...we can't do any damage to him"

"Got it, just aim for arm?"

"Yes"

"Alright, just keep distracting him and I'll line up my shot"

"Got it"

Reyna turned back around to see the two still shooting at Hench. She aimed her own gun at him and continued her fire.

"It seems everyone at Valorant is stupid, huh? Can't you see I can't get hit by any of your flimsy bullets? Just give it up and leave already!"

Reyna smirked, "Keep shooting, guys. Don't let him get to you"

Sage still seemed confused by all of this. Hench did have a point, why were they shooting at a target that is doing nothing but stopping their bullets?

Reyna realized her gun was running out of ammo and beginning to grow nervous. What was taking Cypher so long? Her eyes widened when she saw Hench's hand flick and her gun was being thrown out of her arms.

"It's over for you" Hench growled, holding out his hand. They all stared at the ball of energy that was forming at the palm of his hand.

Jett tried to get out Hench's arm but his hold on her was too strong, "Run! He's going to kill you guys!"

Just as Hench was about to throw the ball of energy at him, the sound of a loud bullet ricocheted off the wall and landed directly at the core of his arm.

Hench watched in horror at his hand sliding off his wrist and landing on the floor. The scream of agony echoed through the night and the look of blood gushing out of his arm made everyone look away with cringe.

Jett took the opportunity to kick her way out of Hench's grasp and wobble over to Sage. When Sage's eyes landed on Jett's struggling body, she instantly ran over to her.

"Jett! Oh thank the gods, you're okay" Sage whispered, getting down onto her knees and pulling Jett into her arms.

Jett let out a mournful cry when she was finally back in Sage's arms. She felt so safe and after having to go through the traumatizing pain Hench put her through yet again..Jett never wants to leave Sage's arms again.

Hench couldn't watch the sight of Jett getting her happy ending and leaving him for the third time. If he was going to die..then he was taking Jett with her. His hand reached for Jett's old sheriff and pointed it to the side of his head.

Reyna and Raze both stared at him with widened eyes. He then got to his feet and continued to hold the gun at his head.

"Remember..you shouldn't let yourself be distracted..or else something like this could happen," Hench said inaudibly before quickly taking the sheriff away from his head and pulling the trigger in Jett's direction.
