It had been a couple of days since Jett had got her radianite stolen. And as the days went by, the antsier Jett grew. Jett found herself tapping her foot more often and having a wrinkled brow more than usual.

"Jett? You're doing it again" Sage said.

Jett looked at her tapping foot and frowned, "Sorry"

Sage could Jett was on edge, judging on the way Jett has been acting lately. She couldn't help but feel a bit anxious about Jett constantly have a pensive look on her face.

Sage got up from her chair and went behind Jett to rub at her shoulders, "Do you want to talk? You seem uptight lately"

Jett seemed a bit distant from Sage as well which made her want to get to the bottom line of things.

"No...It's alright. I'm just not feeling too well"

"Do you want me to get you something to eat? Or some medicine?" Sage asked from behind her, brushing Jett's bangs out the way to feel her forehead.

Jett slumped against Sage, "It's not physical or anything like that. It's just..are we ever going to get my radianite back?"

Sage had a feeling that Jett could only stay content for so long without her abilities. They were a part of her, a part of her..happiness. And for that happiness to be gone for so long..it's no doubt that Jett would be starting to feel uneasy.

"Soon. We already notified Brimstone about it, so I'm sure he is working on a plan to get it back as soon as possible"

"But..It's been a couple of days since then. What if Hench has already destroyed it by now? Can't I just go and get it myself?"

"Patience, Jett. I know how much your radianite means to you-"

"If you would know, wouldn't you just let me go and get it myself?"

"And get yourself killed? Not a chance" Sage said sternly.

Jett frowned and got up to face Sage, "But I can't keep living like this! I want to be myself again"

"You are yourself, Jett! And you will be complete once we think of a proper plan. I know how reckless you are when it comes to Kingdom, so please..just stay put"

"Are you saying you don't trust me?"

"Don't mix up my words. Can't you just see that I don't want you hurt? Just think about what happened to you the last time"

Jett's jaw clenched, she knew Sage was right and that fighting with her was useless. She just wanted Sage to see that she was hurting, in hopes that she would let her go Kingdom on her own. Though, she hoped for the impossible.

"I'm sorry..I know, I'm putting words in your mouth and I know that you're worried about me. All I want is to get my abilities back and..I'll be fine"

Sage's eyes softened as pulled Jett in for a comforting hug, "I'm sorry as well. I understand you're hurting and it hurts me to see that I can't help you right away. Some things take time, but I promise..I will do anything to make you feel whole again"

Jett seemed to calm down at Sage's words as she relaxed into the embrace. The two stayed in the embrace for a while until Jett's name was being called from down the hall.

"Looks like you're being taken away from me again" Sage sighed.

Jett looked at her with a fond expression, "Awe, are you going to miss me?"

"Nonsense, I would do nothing of the sort"

"Are you sure? It seems like you sounded pretty sad.."

Sage pushed Jett away playfully, "You ruined the moment. Go to Yoru already!"

Jett smiled and winked, "I'll be back in a flash. I'm sure this won't take long. Try not to overowkr yourself too much"

Sage returned the smile and watch Jett walk away. It seemed like over the past couple days, there was a lack of pep in Jett's walk. Everything about Jett seemed to be drained and it didn't look like Jett was herself.

Sage was determined to get the Jett she knows back.

"Hey man. What'd you call me screaming for? Oh! DId you forget how the shower turns on? I can just show you-"

Jett stopped her rant when she saw Yoru look at her calmly.

"Jett, I would like to ask you something"

"Yeah?"

"Are you feeling alright?"

Jett wanted to smack the wall with her head. Has everyone around her somehow gained some ability to feel her emotions. If so, she wanted everyone to get rid of it.

"Yeah, man. I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me-" Jett cursed under her breath. She forgot that Yoru could easily tell when she was lying and was reminded when Yoru stared at her with a stern look, "Okay..no. I'm not that great"

"Why, did something happen with Sage? Trouble in paradise?"

"What does that even mean? And..No, it has to do with Brimstone not sending us to Kingdom already. I'm this close to sneaking out and going myself, but I'm keeping myself here for Sage's sake"

"I think Sage is right here. You should've seen yourself when Sage brought you back to HQ. You're body was beaten and bruised as if there was no tomorrow. If I had to be honest with you, you're pretty damn lucky you're alive"

Jett rubbed a hand over her face and let out a tired sigh, "I know that. But, I'm not going to just sit around and let Hench do whatever he wants with my Radianite. If Brimstone doesn't do something in the next two days, I'm leaving"

"You're being selfish. Are you not looking around at what luxury you have? Doing this is going to cost your trust with Brimstone and possibly your new contract at Valorant. And for what? Because you can't sit and be patient? Your stupidity amazes me, Jett"

Jett's jaw dropped at Yoru's words, "Well, It's not like you understand the feeling of what I had to go through!"

"Yeah, I may not. But If I were in your situation, I would think of the consequences of going by myself. And I would also think of the people around me, and not make them put up with the possible mess I make by sneaking out and getting injured"

Jett didn't know what to say. She felt like she was being backed up into a corner with no escape. She knew Yoru was right, but her pride kept getting in the way. Though she contained her anger by getting up and mumbling, "I'm sorry"

She couldn't trust anyone with how she felt at this moment. She wanted to punch her feelings out into the wall as she continued to storm off into the hallway. She felt like it was her against the world and she didn't understand why the team can't trust her to go on her own.

She knew the risks and dangers, and she learned from her mistakes in the past. Why won't they understand? Why is it so hard to make people understand how she feels?

Jett was starting to feel the rise of a panic attack as she went to open the door to the Medical Ward. She opened it quickly, in hopes she could find Sage. But for some reason, she didn't see her. Jett started breathing a bit heavier as she looked around the room.

"S-Sage?" Jett mumbled.

Jett's anxiety was about to peak, but quickly came to simmer when she Saw Sage's head poke out from the storage room of the Medical Ward.

"Hey, Jett. You're back" Sage smiled, walking over to Jett. She didn't realize how much she enjoyed Jett's company until she had grown lonely waiting for Jett to come back from talking to Yoru. She drew Jett into a hug so that she could bury her nose into Jett's fluffy hair.

Despite Jett's awful anxiety spikes, she began to feel better when Sage hugged her. They shared a lot of hugs lately. Even though there were many, each one felt special and important to Jett. She made herself cherish every single one as if was going to be the last one she will ever get.

"Did you change your shampoo?"

Jett nodded.

"It smells nice.."

"The bottles that they offer here were all out so I used my own"

Sage continued to enjoy and take in the scent of Jett, suddenly feeling affectionate after their small argument. All she wanted to do was make sure that Jett was safe and doesn't end up getting severely hurt. The last thing she wants is to have Jett..die.

Jett didn't mind the sudden warmth as she stared up to see Sage's eyes squeezed a bit tightly. She frowned and didn't like the look Sage had on her face, so she buried herself into Sage's arm to offer comfort in the form of actions rather than words.

"Can we go somewhere?" Sage suddenly asked.

Jett seemed to not heard, too busy rubbing her head against the crook of Sage's neck. She finally realized her name was being called when she felt fingers tap her shoulder.

"Huh- What? Sorry, I was too busy making myself comfortable" Jett giggled.

Sage smiled, "I asked if you wanted to go somewhere?"

Jett's eyes brightened as she rocked back on the heels of her feet, "Oh, sure! Where to? Maybe not somewhere far, seeing as last time we did that..it didn't go so well"

"Yes, I don't plan on visiting that town any time soon. Unless I know that it is completely safe for us to go back"

Jett nodded in agreement and waited for Sage to continue.

"I have this place that I wanted to show you since the time we visited that sunset. It's one of my favorite places that I found, and isn't too far from here"

"You want to share it with me?" Jett blushed.

Sage's hands grabbed at Jett's and their fingers interlocked, "Of course I do. There is no one in the world I'd rather share it with"

Jett's chest flushed with pride as opened her mouth to say something, but instead she closed it so that she could offer a huge grin.

Sage returned the smile and pulled Jett out of the Medical Ward with her.

"Are you sure you don't want to get all your paperwork done first?" Jett teased

Sage rolled her eyes, "I already finished it. And besides, I want to show you the place now. It'll be a small hike though"

"As if that's a problem for us"

"Okay, maybe I underestimated the climb of this journey" Jett huffed, wiping the sweat that was dropping down her forehand with the back of her hand.

Sage wasn't even breaking a sweat even after 30 minutes of nothing but hiking up steep cliffs, "Don't be such a wimp. Im surprised that you're this tired already..somebody's getting a bit rusty on the exercise"

Jett grumbled to herself and pushed her aching limbs past their limits by sprinting up to the top of the hill to get to Sage. She bent over a bit and slapped her hands onto her knees to catch her breath. Once she was able to steady her breathing she looked at Sage who was covering her eyes from the sun with her hand.

"You alright?" Sage smirked

Jett stood up straight now, "Never better, how far do we have to go?"

"Just this way"

Sage walked over to a bunch of leaves that seemed to be covering some sort of pathway to somewhere. She ushered Jett to help her move some of the overgrown leaves so that they could squeeze in. After managing to get in, Sage and Jett followed the path.

They eventually made it to the end of the path and Sage sighed, feeling the familiar cold breeze of her favorite place. Jett almost gasped when she saw the sight of a waterfall ahead of them. Sage wanted to surprise Jett, but it seemed that she was already twenty steps ahead of her already.

"It's a waterfall! We haven't seen one since middle school" Jett yelled, walking over to the running streams of water which lead to a small pond with a bunch of Coy and Goby fish. There was also another stream that led to a bigger and deeper pond that looked like it was meant for swimming.

Sage was glad that Jett was excited about where she took her. She was slightly nervous to take Jett here, due to being scared that Jett would find this place rather boring.

She was taken out of her thoughts when she saw Jett rolling up her pants and sticking her feet in to the water, "Oh man, that's cold!"

Sage walked over to Jett, "Well, It is freshwater after all, it's bound to be cold"

Jett kneeled put her hand into the water, cupping her hands to get a puddle of water in her palms. She then sneakily brought to her chest and threw it onto Sage's face. Sage flinched at the sudden feeling of cold water on her face and looked at Jett with a surprised look.

"Jett! You got it on my clothes" Sage whined.

"It's just water" Jett laughed, going to repeat her action. Only to get dragged out of the water and pushed onto the nearby plush of grass.

Sage towered over Jett and smiled, "No more playing in the water for you"

"Hey! That's not fair, I want to play in the water!" She grumbled

"Then don't splash my face!"

"No promises-"

Was the last thing she said before a bunch of water splased onto her, drenching her clothes and face. Jett's eyes widened as she saw Sage wearing a devious smirk. Sage shrieked when she saw Jett stand up and went to chase her. Sage instantly ran into the water and hid behind one of the stones.

"You're not playing fair Sage!" Jett hummed. The water was sloshing around Jett's feet, making it obvious of where Jett's location was.

Sage huffed and listened closely to Jett's footsteps. She was surprised when she didn't hear them anymore, only to jump when she felt hands grab her waist.

"Gotcha!" Jett said, pushing them both down into the lake, causing their clothes and body to be soaking wet.

"Jett! Now you've really done it.."

"Just think of it as a cold shower!"

Sage groaned and rolled away from Jett, wobbling over to the grass so that she could bathe in the warm sun. She watched Jett from the corner of her eye lie down next to her and close her eyes.

She was going to lie. Jett looked nice with her hair drenched in water..it was kind of a turn-on for Sage. Her eyes ran up Jett's muscular arm that glistened with water droplets, as water continued to drip down Jett's forehead.

Sage turned her body on her side and was surprised when Jett did the same. She couldn't help but run her hands through Jett's wet hair and smiled, "You look nice like this"

"What? I look like a wet mop right now, I bet" She laughed

Sage shook her head, "You're anything but a wet mop. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing your hair down a bit more"

Jett smiled and fixed her messed up ponytail, "I'll try to do that more often"

The two grew quiet after that as they both stared deeply into each other's eyes. Jett gulped and bit her lower lip nervously. She recognized this moment from the time they shared the bed in the Medical Ward.

"Is..this one of those times...When I can-" Jett began to say but was cut off when she felt a soft pair of lips against hers.

Jett let out a tiny gasp and froze up. Her eyes squeezed shut when she felt Sage's hand massage her side. She found it hard to relax into the moment, not knowing what she was supposed to do with her hands or mouth. When she initiated the kiss, it was a lot easier, but when it was Sage doing it..it felt way different.

Their kiss reluctantly had to come to end when they needed to get a breath of air. Both of their faces were red by the time they broke away, leaving them heaving a bit.

"I love kissing you" Sage whispered.

Jett's heart fluttered as she leaned in, "Yeah?"

Sage nodded and licked her lips slowly. She wanted to smile at the way Jett's pupils dilated at the sight of her tongue.

"Can I do it again?" Jett asked nervously.

Sage gave a simple nod and closed her eyes, waiting for Jett to make her move. She could tell Jett was nervous, judging by how long it took for her to inch her face closer.

Jett eyed closely to at Sage's lips then back at her closed eyes. She figured she was taking too long and didn't want to make Sage waited any longer so she brushed her lips up against hers.

Sage couldn't help but smile when Jett finally decided to kiss her. She could feel Jett slowly beginning to relax into the kiss. Their lips danced together in a slow rhythm, Sage couldn't help but release the tiniest moan into the kiss.

Jett could hear the sound loud and clear, and it caused a shiver to go up to her spine. Her eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when she felt something wet brush against her bottom lip.

"Is this okay?" Sage whispered.

Jett looked like she was struck by lightning. It took her a bit to get back to reality and when she did, she answered Sage's question with a nervous nod.

"If it feels weird, just tell me to stop"

Before Jett could reply, she felt the similar feeling of a wet tongue paint her lower lip. Jett groaned and opened her mouth at the slightest. She gasped when she felt Sage's tongue make brush against hers. It felt weird at first, but gave her an oddly sensational feeling.

Sage's soft moans were now becoming more frequent as Jett continued to stay still as a stone.

"Move your tongue with me" Sage whispered, sounding a little more desperate than she wanted to.

Jett gulped at Sage's words and complied, her tongue danced with Sage's as they tangled together.

"Sage.." Jett hummed.

Sage broke off the kiss so she could catch her breath and mostly to see how Jett was doing. She knew that was Jett's first time probably kissing in that manner.

"How was that?"

Jett looked awestruck, "It felt..good"

Sage continued to brush Jett's hair out of her face which was starting to get dry due to the sun being directly on them now, "I was hoping you were going to say that"

"Did you like it?"

"Yes, it surprises me how much of a good kisser you are"

Jett grinned, "Just one of my many hidden talents"

Their foreheads met together in the middle and they both laid together, with arms locked in one beautiful mess.

"Thanks for taking me to the waterfall, Sage. It means..a lot to me" Jett said while scratching the back of her head sheepishly.

Sage leaned back in her chair, "Of course. I wanted to clear your mind with something, and I thought taking you to the waterfalls would put your worries to rest for at least a little while"

Jett couldn't help but feel lucky to have Sage with her. She loved the way Sage would care for her and it made her want to do things for Sage too.

"I- I also really liked the kiss" Jett blurted out.

Even with her efforts, Sage still couldn't hide the blush when the image of her and Jett making out was put back into her mind.

"I did too. It definitely gave me butterflies"

Jett bounced on her feet, feeling proud of herself that she was able to make Sage feel that certain way. She wondered if she was the only one that was able to make Sage have that butterfly feeling.

"What are you smiling about?"

Jett shrugged and offered a wider grin, "Just thinking about you"

Sage's eyes softened as she went over to wrap her arms around Jett's shoulders, "Are you sure you're feeling better now? No negative thoughts?"

"I..I'm obviously still a bit on edge, but I'm feeling a lot better, thanks to you"

Sage smiled and rubbed her shoulder, "You know I will always be there if you need to talk or..if you need anything"

"I know, and I will be here as your little support blanket"

Sage laughed and kissed Jett's forehead, "You're so cute"

Jett couldn't help but puff her cheeks out and stare down at the ground, "I was trying to be supportive, not cute!"

"Mmm, I hate to say it. But you did the complete opposite"

Jett groaned, "I'm leaving"

Sage watched Jett turn around to leave the Medical Ward. Though she knew that Jett could only stay so long out of the room before she came running back in.

"You're still cute!"

"Shut up!"
