Later that day, we were called to have dinner.

I had already settled in my room, knowing every nook and cranny of it and finding all my items that belonged in my room in my new room. It was actually really nice to know that my same bed covers were on my bed, but I was curious to know how they got there and if they were still in my room. I wondered if my family were aware that I was gone or knew that I was gonna be gone or they're going crazy, wondering where I was. But that's something I shouldn't worry about--I'm now a hero! Just like the ones I write in my fanfiction, except I have a codename. I have a tendency of not giving my characters codenames because I found them too cheesy and unnecessary. But my codename, Katt, is definitely something I approve. Maybe I should put in codenames in my stories...if I get time to, that is!

I was already in my hero outfit, or what Andrea called it, the resting outfit. It was like school uniform 2.0: the outfit was completely black with a hockey jersey-like feel for the long-sleeved shirt and a denim feeling for the pants, which is a great combo for me. The only thing that wasn't black were the magenta designs that went down in lines like suspenders then spread out horizontally like wrap-around straps; there were two cuff-like shapes that went around my sleeves. The outfit also came with boots, which was a specialty to me since I barely wear boots. The boots had designs, with a line going down the side, ending at the ankle. They were rubber material so they were able to go over the hem of my pants and reach up to my knees. I wonder if there are boots that go over my knees...like how women superheroes have them like... I hoped so.

I sashed out of my room when I got the notification that it was dinnertime through my iPad. Maybe that was why I got my iPad.

I entered the main room and the other three members were already sitting around the table: Alek and Cade on one side with their backs facing me; Andrea on the other side, facing me.

I cautiously walked over to her and sat on the chair that was next to her, facing the youngest member. I sat at the table, noticing that the food was already set out in their cooking dishes: chicken, rice, vegetables--foods I'm used too.

I made a puzzled look. Why would they cook food I'm used to? Unless they eat that as well and it's a coincidence? Hm. I also noticed that the plate out in front of my was the one from my house. OMG, this is weird. I also noticed that the silverware was the same from my house too. I picked up the fork and stared at it with inquiring eyes.

"Yes, Katt, that's a fork," I heard Andrea tell me jokingly.

I lowered the fork down and looked at her. "Yeah, I know, but this-this fork is from my house! It's-it's--"

She held up a foreign fork. "This one's mine from my house. We have all of our stuff from our own houses so that we wouldn't get homesick and stick with what we are here for."

I nodded my head. "That's a great idea." I quickly snapped my eyes over to Alek before he noticed me. I caught him slouched on his chair, messing around on his iPad with a serious look.

What ever happened with the rule, no electronic devices on the table? I wanted to get a good look to see how Russian silverware and dishes looked like, but the pot of chicken got in the way of the view, so I couldn't see them without making it obvious.

I turned to look back at Andrea. "So...when are we gonna eat?"

"When Poncho comes-- He always calls up early so that we wouldn't be late."

I gazed at the food, wanting to eat it so badly, but I knew it would be impolite to. "What are you gonna eat?" I asked her when I looked at her again.

"Chicken and vegetables." She smiled.

"Oh, so...so..."

"We have the same food?" she finished.

"Yeah...we eat the same food?"

"Yeah, I mean, we can't have food of our own like the silverware! That'd be too much cooking!" She extended her hands out to the side.

I rose my eyebrows. "You cooked this?"

She smirked. "I don't only make French pastries for French class, y'know."

"That's so cool!" I smiled with my mouth opened. "But it's weird...because chicken? Rice? Vegetables? That's what I have all the time for dinner!"

"Because tonight's your food." She nudged me a bit on my shoulder with her fist.

"We have days when each of our home foods are made?" I made a surprised look.

She nodded her head happily. "Yea."

"Last night's was Russian," Cade jumped in. "I hope this makes up for it."

I spotted Alek shooting him a deadly glare. "The food was good," he replied a matter-of-factly. "You just don't know good food."

"Now I know to never go to Russia," he muttered to himself, placing his elbows on the tabletop and slipping his face into his hands.

I actually never tried Russian food before but from what I had heard of it, it wasn't the best type of food out there. I was curious though to try it out. One of these day, I'm sure I'll try it out now!

"Hello, HEROES," I heard Poncho's voice say from my right.

We all turned to where Poncho was coming from, which was from his office. He was sitting in a high-tech chair, reminding me of a chair a ruler would sit on in a futuristic, science fictional movie. It was dark gray with orange, glowing deigns and it was hovering.

What a surprise that it was hovering. Everything here seems to hover! I wouldn't be surprised if my bed hovers. Or if I myself would hover!

Poncho began floating behind the guys as he made his way to the end of the table. "Thank you for waiting for me." He halted his chair when he reached the end of the table. "Tonight, we are here to welcome our newest and last member of HEROES--" He extended a hand out at me. "--Katt."

Everyone turned to look at me, including Alek.

I dipped my head down a bit and couldn't help smiling since I wasn't used to this kind of attention. And it didn't help if my crush was looking at me, too.

"Welcome to HEROES, Katt!" Andrea exclaimed, giving me a one-armed hug.

"Hope you do good here!" Cade told me, giving me a thumbs up.

Alek looked at me serious, pointing at me. "Don't be stupid."

I couldn't help but let out chuckles that were about to turn into laughs. "I won't!"

"So," Poncho started, "since we're now a whole, completed team, we can get on going with our plans to take down The Enemy."

"Um--" I rose my hand in the air, which he noticed.

"Yes, Katt?"

"Is that the special villain's codename?"

"Indeed."

I nodded my head. Better than nothing.

"So Hen--" He extended a hand to Andrea, "--you'll be in charge of maintaining order in the--"

Cade rose his hand this time.

Poncho turned to him. "Yes, Freshman?"

"Can we eat?" He pointed to his empty plate.

"Certainly."

"Sweet!" He grabbed the pot of chicken and began serving himself chicken legs.

Andrea got a pan of rice and handed it over to me. "Here you go."

I smiled at her "Aw, thanks." I looked down at the white rice that was giving off the aroma that was exactly like the rice from home. Did my mom give Andrea a recipe or what? I began scooping rice onto my plate, then passed it on to her as I got the now unoccupied chicken pot.

We all began to eat happily as Poncho began explaining to us our roles.

"So Hen will be in charge of maintaining order in the battle. Russia--" Poncho turned to Alek, who had his fork full of vegetables close to his mouth. "--you'll be in charge of making the weapons, aircrafts, and suits. Katt--" He pointed at me while I was scraping the meat off from the chicken leg's bone with my fork. "--you'll be in charge of designing the weapons, aircrafts, and suits. And Freshman--" He pointed to Cade, who was chewing. "--you'll be in charge of flying the aircrafts and firing--"

"--the Enemy so that he wouldn't have a job!" Cade cut in with his mouth full.

I chuckled a bit, getting his joke.

The rest didn't seem too amused. Hey, we're underclassman, what do you expect?

"Freshman?" Poncho said flatly.

The blond nodded while swallowing. "Yes, yes, I know, firing the lasers and missiles. Sorry." He then took another bit of his chicken leg.

"Wait, I'm confused," I blurted out. "Why do I need to design suits if we already got them?" I pulled on my shirt with my left hand since my right was full of chicken and napkin pieces.

"I'm talking about the fighting suits, the suits you guys will fight with," Poncho explained sophisticatedly. "Your job is to design them efficiently and logically so that Russia can make them."

I felt my heart drop. Alek...is going to make...my creation? OMG OMG OMG!!! Happy face! :) "Really?" I felt my stomach doing happy flips while I was sweating a bit.

"Yes." He nodded his head.

Oh man, I wanna do it RIGHT NOW! But first I needed to eat and wait for everyone else to be finished eating since, it'd be awkward and rude to leave before the rest of my team. "Cool," was all that came out as my response.

After dinner, I was back in my room.

I was sitting on my desk with a white piece of paper on my mini desk, or a slanted mobile slate of polished wood so that I could sketch comfortably. I leaned back on my desk chair, tapping my clear, purple-tipped with a green grip mechanical pencil on the desktop. I thought of what I saw in that dream of mine: high-tech durable suits with glowing designs, like the designs on my shirt, pants, and boots.

"Okay, I'll do that," I muttered to myself.

I began sketching the head with a cross in the it, even though I wasn't going to draw a face, although I would've love to draw Alek! I began sketching the neck, shoulders...broad shoulders, upper body...triangular upper body shape, legs, shoes, arms, and square-tipped hands because I just can't do hands correctly. I drew out the designs of my shirt, looking down at myself every two seconds to make sure what I was drawing was right. I put short gloves, short boots, sweat pant-like pants, a holster that could be mistaken as a belt, but whatever, and a turtle neck so that our heads won't get chopped off so easily in whatever scenario we're in.

I then filled in the outfit with different shades of gray since I hated colouring and voilà, I was done...! With the guys' suit that is.

"I should process it in my iPad...," I muttered to myself, staring at the sketch with inquiring eyes. "Make it look more pretty...yeah. After our's though."

I furiously sketched a female version of the outfit next to the male version, making it exactly alike except with longer gloves, longer boots, of course, and a sleeker, slimmer look to it.

I sighed as I leaned back to admire my work. "Looks good..." I nodded my head. "Let's draw it on the iPad tomorrow, it's getting late."

With a deep breath in and out, I cautiously walked over to Alek's room with my iPad being held in my sweaty hands.

It was the next morning and we were dismissed from breakfast, which was my typical breakfast of bread with egg in the middle topped with spinach, honey ham, cheese, and Sriracha sauce. But of course, that's what I topped mine with, everyone had a different topping.

"Uhhhmmm..." I croaked out as my heart was beating so uncontrollably that I thought it was going to jump out from my chest any moment.

I guess that took enough to grab Alek's attention, since I saw him turn to his left, gazing at me with an amused look. He was standing up in front of his desk, looming over it.

I held out my iPad in front of me like as if it was a shield from whatever I was facing...well, in this case, I was facing a Russian...a cute Russian to me. "I made the outfits...?"

He nodded his head and gazed back down at his desk.

I stopped moving, feeling that the awkwardness in the room was almost too much to bear. "Do...you want to see them?" I felt like grimacing in uncertainty, but I maintained a normal look.

He turned to look at me. "Yeah."

I shuffled over to him and practically slammed my iPad onto the desk. I then opened it up and placed it on the cover's magnetic bar so that the iPad itself could stand on its own. I slid my iPad towards my direction so that he wouldn't see my passcode...or my lockscreen...or my homescreen. I then went to my sketching app and brought up the first suit sketch, which was Andrea's. "Uh, here's, um, Hen's suit." I gently slid my iPad over to him.

He took my iPad from my area and brought it closer to him. He then leaned down and stared closely at the screen with an inquiring look.

Please like it, please like it, don't criticize me, I love you, please like them... was all I was thinking of.

I saw him brushing his finger across my screen, notifying me that he was swiping to see the other sketches I did. He did three more swipes with scrutinizing in between them, then made a puzzled look as he swiped for a forth time. He shook his head, then swiped the opposite direction.

Haha, must've saw another drawing of mine. I couldn't help but let a smirk grow on my face.

He then straightened up and looked at me, so I forced myself to stare into those eyes of his so that I wouldn't wander around the room. "They're good. Just one thing though."

Oh no. I felt myself go pale.

"This." He brought my iPad down to its browsing mode and began tapping against its screen and dragging his finger on it multiple times.

AHHHHHH!!! HE'S MESSING UP MY DRAWING NOOOOOOO!!!

After what seemed like long minutes of torture, he pushed my iPad back to me in its standup position.

I approached it warily and picked it up to see what he did. He actually didn't do anything bad to it, he just added a circle on the middle of the chest area that was glowing the colour of the suit. "Oh, okay, that's fine." I nodded my head. "Cool."

"You'll see why I put that in. It's needed."

"Okay, yeah, that's fine." I smiled at the iPad.

"Um...I'm gonna need the sketches, so send them to meh?" I heard him say.

I snapped my head to look at him. "Yeah, yeah, let me email them to you." I then saved the images and went to my photos app, bringing up a draft email on there. "Here, put in your email." I handed my iPad over to him.

He grabbed it and put it on his desk, typing his email on my tangible keyboard.

OMG, he's using my keyboard yay! I type my fanfics on there hehe. I smiled as he gave the iPad back to me. "Thank you," I automatically said.

Alek just went back to do whatever he was doing on his desk.

That gave me the signal that my work was done here and that I should leave. I didn't want to, but I didn't want to make things more awkward.

A few days later, we were called to the main room to gather around the main table, not the dining table.

"The weapons and suits have arrived!" Poncho explained as we were all on the other side of the long side of the table.

"Yes, so excited!" Cade exclaimed, raising his fists into the air.

I couldn't wait to see how my suits turned out to look like. I never knew I'd be modelling for clothes, but here I was, modelling for a hero fighting group, so that's more epic to me.

"Alright, first one is Hen." Poncho lifted a medium-sized black box into view and reached it over to Andrea.

Andrea took the box with a huge smile. She then set it on the tabletop and pressed the purple button that was on top of it.

The box then mechanically unfolded itself until it was completely flat.

Alek, Cade, and I frowned at the flat box when we saw that there was nothing in it. But Andrea was looking down at the flatten item pretty excitedly.

"Purple fighting suit...," she started while staring at the box, like as if she was reading off from it, "...sword with beam emission, and mechanical wings for flight." She looked up. "Wow, that's so cool!"

Cade extended a hand out to the box. "Well, it would be cooler if it was here."

"It's in her room," Poncho explained. "The boxes just say what she would be fighting with."

We three still had disappointed looks.

"Well, at least you guys will see them and touch them and use them after this," the leader told us, trying to raise our hopes.

The three of us nodded slowly.

"Okay, Russia--" Poncho lifted a box into view and handed it over to him.

Alek took the box and pressed the blue button on it while holding it. The box began unfolding while wrapping around his arm. He looked down at the now black cuff like as if it was a massive wristband. He then nodded his head while reading it to himself.

Poncho cleared his throat.

Alek darted his eyes, looking straight at him.

The leader nodded his head towards the cuff, telling him with the movement to tell what it said.

With a sigh, the Russian gazed back down at it. "Blue zuit, Zashchitnik, glider." He brought his arm down and looked back at the leader.

"What's a Zash-cheh-nehk?" Cade asked with confusion.

"My gun," Alek replied sternly. "You'll see."

I raised my eyebrows. He named his gun? Cool!

"Katt?" I heard Poncho call me.

I perked up, looking at him. "Yes?"

"Here you go." He gave me a box.

I grabbed the box with two hands and set it on the table. I then pressed the pink button and watched in amazement as it folded into a black slate with pink, glowing text in the middle in a list format. I leaned down to look at it and began reading out loud: "Pink suit, discs, and sky skates." I looked up. "Sky skates?"

"You'll see," Alek told me.

I nodded my head. "Okay."

"And the last one is for Freshman." Poncho handed him the last black box.

Cade eagerly took it and slammed onto the button once it was set on the table. It unfolded more quickly than the others, laying flat in seconds. He gazed down at it and began reading it quickly: "Green suit, two guns, a mini-slash-sub-jet! YES!" He straightened up and pumped his fists in the air. "Does that mean there's gonna be a jet in my room?"

A smile grew on Poncho's face. "Go and check it out yourself."

We then all rushed out of the room and into our rooms, excitedly wanting to see our new gadgets and outfits.

It was like Christmas decided to come more earlier with epic presents!
