Meeting Jayce

Today I was meeting up with Jayce, we were going to go roller skating first with Tyler and Jody and then Jayce was coming back to the house for lunch.

"My dad's just looking for his car keys, he'll remember where he left them in a minute. Jayce told us as we waited in the hallway. Jayce's dad was going to drop us off and then mike would pick us up.

We finally arrived at the roller skating place and had all changed our shoes, we made our way into the arena and that's when we realised how much you should really know how to roller skate before you go roller skating. We had only been in there a couple of minutes when I fell over followed a few minutes later by Jody and then Tyler and then a little while later Jayce had fallen too and it didn't get any better it was like some sort of comedy skit.

"Your getting good at this." I tell Jayce as he skates next to me around the arena.

"I mean I am still holding onto you." he says smiling a little.

"Yeah but that's just cause you like me." I reply with a small laugh.

"That is true."

I looked over to see Tyler and Jody skating round together holding onto the side like I was. Somehow we had managed to split of into two. I quite liked the fact that me and Jayce were skating together. We continued skating noticing that Jody had let go of the side along with Tyler and whilst Tyler was getting the hang of things Jody was wobbling around all over the place.

"We should go and help." Jayce tells me.

We started to skate over but me still holding onto the side was kind of slowing us down. I looked up to see Jody about to fall but Tyler had caught her in his arms. The only probably being that he was now drifting backwards putting him off balance and causing him to fall next to her.

"You alright?" Jayce asks as we reached the pair still sprawled out on the floor.

"Fine." The both mumbled back.

"Your a bit of a weakling aren't you Tyler if you can't even hold her up." I rib Tyler.

"Look the weight just put me off and when I started rolling it put me of balance." Tyler tries to defend himself..

"You calling me fat?" Jody asks in mock offence.

"I...I don't think that was what he was trying to say just that--"

"Don't worry mate there just messing about. You never take anything these two say seriously alright." Tyler interrupts Jayce.

After we had finished roller skating or should I say falling over we got our normal shoes back and waited for Mike outside the roller skating place. He drove us home but the closer to the dumping ground we got the more nervous I became, I don't think I have ever brought anyone back to the house before. I had however seen plenty of people bring friends round and I knew this place was pretty full on with new people.

As we walked into the house there were already some keen members of the house that wanted to meet Jayce.

"Is this Jayce?" Carmen asks a little bit too excitedly.

"Yes."

"Hi, I'm Carmen, This is lily and Tee." Carmen says in her usual bubbly excited tone.

"Nice to meet you." He replies.

We go upstairs getting away from the majority of the house and going into my room.

"Sorry about that, it can be a bit full on." I tell him.

I wasn't sure if I was regretting my decision to bring him here, what if he didn't even like anyone. I suppose it didn't really matter as long as he liked Tyler and Jody since they were my best friends.

"What's your name?" Gus asked entering the room.

"Jayce."

"Jayce what?"

"Jayce Delgado." He says quietly.

Delgado ... Delgado. Why does that ring a bell.

"Why are you here?" Gus asks.

"He's with me Gus, he's come for lunch. It's fine." I reassure the young boy so he stops questioning him.

"What's your family like? Do you like Teagen? Are you going to hurt her?" Gus questions.

"Gus later, Yeah? I need to talk to Jayce." I tell him finally realising where I recognised his last name.

"Fine." He mumbles before leaving my room.

"Delgado? Like Lianna Delgado?" I question.

"Look I'm sorry Teagen." He replies.

"You said you were an only child. Why would you lie about that? Why not tell me?" I ask.

"Look Teagen when you came clean about this place, I told you I needed to talk to you. I wanted to tell you the truth but then you said about how Lianna bullied you and I just didn't want to be associated with her, I'm not like her." he explains.

"You said you didn't even have a sister. Why lie about that? It's not like we have talked about your family."

"I don't have a sister, not when it matters. Yeah we used to be close, we were twins. Except Lianna didn't like having a twin when we went to secondary school cause I embarrassed her. I had problems, her friends bullied me and she didn't care. They were happy and I was miserable so she was happy. I tried to tell mum and dad but Lianna told them some lie about them mistaking me for a kid that had bullied one of their sisters and they believed her. Lianna is popular and head cheerleader and anything I did in comparision was a dissapointment. We had just met I didn't want to bring you in to all of that." He explains.

"I'm Sorry Jayce." I mumbled feeling bad for bring up the subject.

"LUNCH!" Mike called.

"How about we both forget about the lies and move on?" he asks.

"Perfect. Now are you ready for lunch because it will not be easy." I said with a small laugh.

"What?"

"You'll figure it out. Take nothing Johnny says personally. Answer Gus's questions unless they are too personal and then I will tell him to shut up because he won't otherwise and leave Elektra to me." I prep him before we make our way down and sit at the table for lunch.

"You must be Jayce now tell me why you would be interested in Teagen." Elektra starts.

"Because some people are actually intresting unlike you." I reply. "that's elektra." I mumble to Jayce and he gives a small nod.

"What's your favourite food?" Gus asks.

"Pizza." Jayce mumbles clearly unsure if his answer would go down well with gus who just nods and writes it down.

The rest of the dinner seems to go well, Carmen just stares at him the whole time. Harry is busy talking to Jeff about Jayce and then telling Jayce what Jeff thinks back. Gus is asking 50 thousand questions and Elektra was just being Elektra. To be fair it was a pretty average dinner in the dumping ground.

"I see what you meant earlier about it not being easy. I think I have a headache from all the questions and talking." He says with a small laugh as we leave the table.

"Yeah it's pretty full on but I'd say it was ok." I reply.
