The whole house was in a good mood, well that was everyone except from me. Mike, Gina and Tracy had surprised us all with a trip to the beach and I was not looking forward to it.

"Mike, I feel really sick." I tell him.

"Go and lay down, I will bring you some water and some toast." Mike tells me.

I made my way upstairs and laid down on my bed. It wasn't long before Mike was up there looking after me.

"You haven't got a temperature so that's a good sign. Try and eat a bit of toast, it might help seen as you haven't eaten much today." He tells me.

"Thanks Mike."

"Hey let's hope your better by tomorrow or we won't be able to go to the beach." He tells me.

"You lot will still be able to go won't you?" I asked.

"Well it's just me and Tracy since Gina's away. We can't really take the rest with only one person." He explains.

"Oh, Can't Saph come and sit with me or something?" I questioned. I just wanted some way that everyone else could still go but I didn't have too.

"Wouldn't have had to of been planned in advance. Don't worry, the others will understand if we can't go. You just focus on getting better." Mike tells me before leaving the room.

I wasn't feeling great about tomorrow but I couldn't let everyone down, they were so excited about going to the beach.

||The next morning||

I woke up early the next morning and made my way down to breakfast. 

"How you feeling?" Mike asked.

"Yeah fine, think I hadn't eaten enough like you said." I lied. I still felt like being sick but I knew it was just anxiety. 

We all bundled into the back of the minivan. It was Carnage, People chatting and fighting over the window seats, the back row. If there was something to moan about they were moaning. As everyone eventually found seats and settled down the chatter turned to what they were going to get up to once we arrived. Building sandcastles, searching forbidden caves (The most we had was a small con-caved part of the beach but they liked to make up stories), Swimming, surfing on the tiny boogie board Mike had brought with us.

I however sat in my seat staring out of the window trying to forget. Forget where we were going. Forget what happened last time. Forget every aspect of the beach trip. 

"You Ok?" Jody asks. 

"Yeah I'm fine." I mumble.

We continue on the road before coming to a stop about half way into our journey. Everyone climbed out of the van and we made our way into the service station. Everything was this big ordeal, I mean try finding a table for 16 at a service station. Getting drinks and food for all of us and then getting the kids to sit still long enough to eat it. I was becoming aware of the amount of odd looks we were getting which wasn't helping my anxiety.

Me, Jody and Tyler were the first ones back to the van, Mike had trusted us with the keys so that him and Tracy could wrangle the rest of the more excitable kids. I took in the quiet for the five or so minutes it took before all the kids were back in the van and we were once again on or way to the beach. 

We soon arrived pulling up in the closet spot to the beach that we could find. Mike gave us a quick lecture on being safe in the water as he 'didn't want any repeats of last time'. Cue everyone awkwardly looking at me. They all got off the bus and made there way down to the beach.

"Mike, Can I just stay here? I don't feel like going down?" I asked as we got to the wall the surrounded the beach.

"You going to be ok? What are you going to do?" Mike questioned.

"I'll just sit on the wall and watch the others, I just Can't..." I trailed off.

"We will stay with her." Jody offers and Tyler nods.

"Alright, you know where we are if you need anything." Mike replies before hurrying off to join the others.

"You don't have to stay with me you know. I'm fine, go and have fun." I tell Tyler and Jody.

"It's fine honestly." Jody tells me.
